“Catherine cared for my dog, Paco, for a full week, coming every day for a half-hour walk. She kept me updated on how he was doing, including whether he took care of his business, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. She was reliable, communicative, and genuinely helpful. I absolutely recommend Catherine and plan to keep using her services.”

About: I’ve spent most of my life around animals, including dogs and horses, and caring for them has always been a natural part of my daily life. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, walks, exercise, medications, and providing attentive, calm companionship. My background as a registered nurse has also strengthened my reliability, attention to detail, and ability to stay attentive to each pet’s individual needs and comfort. As a nurse with a flexible schedule. I have the ability to provide dependable pet care throughout the week, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional last-minute bookings when available. Recent empty nesters. We have a yard and a pool on the property. The pool is not fenced, so pets are always supervised closely when outdoors. Safety is my top priority, and I make sure each dog is monitored at all times and cared for according to their routine and comfort level.
“Genesis was great with my babies. Good communication and puntual. Banksy’s behavior showed me he was very happy with Genesis daily walks. Thank you again for coming through last minute after my back up to my other two permanent pet sitters canceled last minute. Thank you again, Genesis.”

“Karla was so sweet and took such great care of Aurora! She made sure to send a lot of pictures and keep me updated on their walk. I will definitely be rebooking with Karla again!!!! Thank you so much 🐾💗✨”

About: I am a dog mom to a 6 year old goldendoodle and have had cats & dogs my whole life. I love to care and nurture animals as they are such precious beings. I've dealt with all breeds, ages, and sizes of dogs with different treatment protocols. I pay very close attention to detail and will provide the same care you provide because I know how important it is. I truly love nurturing and find it my calling! I am transitioning out of corporate life as a marketing director and am wanting to do this full time as this is makes me more happy in this season of life :) With that being said, I am free everyday to care for your pets! At home my dog is fully trained and has fully capacity to roam the house. I also care for animals that need to be crated, limited by space, and more. I am willing to always abide by the rules that are set with each family. Every pet has their own way of life.
“Brenda has been a great help without two older dogs. They need their daily exercise for joint health. They love when they come in because they know they will have fun. Highly recommend booking with Brenda.”

“This was our first time using Rover, so I was understandably a little nervous, but Madison was absolutely amazing. I would recommend her to anyone and would book her again without hesitation. We have two very big, rambunctious Pitties who can be a handful, but Madison took incredible care of them. She provided constant updates with detailed notes on how they were doing, including bathroom habits, food and water intake, and overall demeanor. Thank you, Madison, for taking such great care of our boys.”

About: I spent most of my time with birds when I was a child. As I grew older and finally started college I adopted two cats of my own. Learned everything I could before I made the decision to adopt. My friend also adopted a rabbit. She would often ask me to care for it while she was away. Letting me know special diet, play time and caring instructions. I followed all of it and that bunny was making binkies all over the place. Sometimes I brought my cats over and the bunny would make friends. Not too long after that I had taken in a cat for a friend of a friend who was going to live in a dorm. Her name was Cali and she was a fat kitty. My Dante became good friends with her. I started giving her a diet and exercise and 3 months after being with me she was happy to jump, play and frolic like she never had before. The owner was so thankful and i let her know some facts to keep her cat healthy. I hate seeing an animal so overweight they can't do anything but sit. Right now I'm freelancing part time in art. Which gives me time to take care of my animals as I need to. Also taking classes to develop my skills even further. I keep my animals safe as I don't let them out. My cats are mostly indoor. I am very vigilante and would protect any animal as if they were my own pet. I've also treated obese animals by giving them plenty of good nutritious food and play time to exercise.
“Nicole was prompt, efficient and handled the tasks professionally with care. Our dog Valentino was always happy to see her. Our cat Sohji, who never comes out for guests surprisingly showed up for a cameo pic! This is an indication that even Shoji was comfortable with her presence and care. We recommend Nicole as a competent and caring pet specialist. Nicole will always be our pet care specialist when needed.”

About: I believe that my experience comes from caring for my own and family pets over many years. I’ve had multiple pets at once and have cared for them through different stages of life, from a special needs puppy to my now partly blind Corgi who requires frequent eye drops and extra attention, to a senior cat who needed diapers, mobility support, and extra support at his 25 years old! I also have a large Siberian Husky who is known for being an escape artist, so I understand the importance of keeping energetic dogs safe and secure. These experiences have shown me patience, responsibility, attention to detail, and how to recognize and adapt to each pet’s individual needs. I’m comfortable caring for pets of different sizes, personalities, and needs, and I’m happy to give them the same love and attention I’d give my own :) I’m currently studying so I have lots of free time to swing by and help out where I’m needed! Aside from Tuesday & Saturday nights, I have a relatively flexible schedule I will follow each pet’s routine and give them plenty of love, attention, playtime, and care. I’m comfortable with special needs, medications, and senior care. In a client’s home, I keep their routine consistent while making sure they feel safe, happy, and comfortable, as well as the client themselves!
“Nicole was so attentive to my boys! They looked so happy going on walks with her (she sent great pics)!!! Very communicative and I was comforted that my boys were in good hands!”

About: I have been around animals ever since I was born. I have had 4 dogs and 9 cats throughout my life. I have been trusted to watch family, friends, and neighbors pets. I love going on walks with dogs and working on basic commands such as sit, lay down, and paw. I enjoy playing with cats and giving them all of the pets if the cat seems like they want them. I can’t wait to help you take care of your pets! I have a pretty open schedule so I am available to take care of your pets throughout the day, any day of the week. I will have plenty of time to walk and play with your pets. When on walks I’ll make sure your dog is close to me when other dogs are present and make sure interactions with other dogs are limited to insure your dog’s safety. When it’s just your dog, I will give them time to sniff and go to the bathroom as they please. Inside of the home I’ll make sure they don’t have access to items that will harm them. If there are multiple dogs I’ll make sure they are fed separately and monitored. I’ll also monitor them while playing to make sure everyone is safe.

Amazing!!!!!!!! Valeria is the best!!!!!! I had an issue with my door and she sat there and waited until maintenance came and stayed to walk Aurora!!! I am so happy that u chose Valeria and I know Aurora is as well!!!! Will definitely be booking with you again!!!! Thank you so so much 🥰

Samantha was punctual, nice and sweet. She did a good job with our big dog for the first time. Unfortunately we did not establish beforehand that she would be bringing a guest with her into our house and I was just not comfortable that it wasn’t communicated upfront and not professional. Since walkers should all be background-verified before entering someone’s private property, not knowing in advance did not work for me as it was a liability and breech of trust for us. She is nice girl though I hope she can communicate that in the future to potentially have more repeat clients.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
