“We had another great experience leaving our dog with Jared! He noticed she had a medical issue and offered to take her to the vet. We were coming home anyway and were able to take her and it turned out he was totally correct in his diagnosis! Jared saved the day. Plus the dog had a great time staying with him, as usual. Thanks, Jared!”

“Britanny made sure my dog Riley got LOTS of love and attention. She sent daily updates with pictures that showed what a good time Riley was having. I definitely recommend her!”

“Cindy is so great with Hendrix! This is my second time leaving him with her and she’s wonderful. I get many photo updates throughout the day and he always looks like he’s happy and having fun!”

“Hannah was amazing! She watched our boy for 5 days on a short notice. This was Ryder’s first time away from family. She took such great care of him! We really loved all of her updates with pictures & videos of their activities together. Ryder came back very relaxed and happy. We could not have asked for a better experience. About: I love taking care of friendly dogs and making sure that they are as comfortable as possible. We'd have lots of play time in the yard, leashed walks around the block a couple of times a day and enough quiet and rest time to ensure a relaxing stay for your pet. They would be joining my neutered 5 year old mini bernadoodle (15lbs), Stella who is a real lady :-)) I work from home so will usually be around to look after and play with your pet. There will be yard play and leashed walks around the block with my furry friend. I have a fenced yard and will always be outside with your pet. Potty breaks are regularly scheduled as well as being as needed depending on your pet. Fresh water is always out, I like to give my dog a chewy treat or milk bone around lunchtime. When we walk around the block it will always be on a leash.
“Torie was amazing ! Can't thank her enough for watching my dog Jax for 10 days ! Torie provided excellent communication and plenty of photos from Jax's stay. Would highly recommend to all”

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and have spent years caring for pets of all kinds. Growing up, I frequently fostered animals and volunteered at a local shelter, which gave me experience with pets of different ages, personalities, and needs. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, play with, and care for their pets over the years. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or just extra cuddles and attention, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability throughout the week, which allows me to provide attentive and reliable care for your pets. I love being active and enjoy going on walks, so daily exercise and outdoor time are something I genuinely look forward to. Whether your pet needs a quick check-in, a long walk, or extended companionship, I’m happy to work with your schedule and your pet’s routine to make sure they stay comfortable and cared for. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special needs they may have so I can provide personalized care. Having fostered animals and volunteered at a shelter, I’m comfortable working with pets who may need extra patience, reassurance, or attention. I maintain a calm, caring environment and always follow owners’ instructions closely. You can expect regular updates, photos, and open communication so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in loving and responsible hands.

“She was extremely kind, flexible with the schedule, and very understanding of my situation. I had lost one of my cats, and she was so supportive and compassionate until the very last moment. Thankfully, like a little miracle, Pata appeared, and I was able to bring her to her house. I truly feel her energy and the chance for my cat to meet her little sister also helped. Thank you so much for everything.”

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
