“Jared is amazing. He kept me updated throughout the entirety of my pet’s stay and sent me the most adorable pictures of my baby having a great time. He kept him happy and very comfortable. I will definitely be using him again.”

“Lois was wonderful!! She provided excellent care when boarding our cockapoo for several days. She loved Jasper (our dog) and was very easy to work with. Lois provided us with photos/videos each day that we were away. I'd wholeheartedly recommend Lois as an excellent caretaker for your pet. We would definitely want to have her care for Jasper again!”

I’m basically semi retired and I make my own schedule and have a lot of free time I’m super affectionate and love playing with dogs. “Coco had a great first stay with Cindy and her sweet family and dog Pepper. Cindy kept us up-to-date with how the stay was going by sending many photos during Coco’s stay. She was also very accommodating in terms of last-minute changes to the drop off and pick up times.”

“Jessica is fantastic! She was calm and caring with our dog, Finnegan. She made him feel at home and provided us updates on how he was doing. Finnegan was so excited to go back a few days later.”

“Jill and her husband Doug were great hosts for our young, active Border Collie. They went out of their way to meet our needs. I had mentioned that Louie liked to chase a Frisbee, and when we arrived Jill had added one to her big bucket of dog toys. I was happy about the big play yard, but while we were away I received some pictures from Jill of Louie and his pals running at the beach. What a great place to leave my pet!”

“Torie was great with our two morkies, one of which has PLE and has some intense dietary restrictions. She was very communicative and quick to respond during the stay! Thank you Torie!”

About: Hi! My name is Lauren, and I’m a responsible, caring, and reliable pet lover. I’ve grown up around dogs and cats and have experience caring for pets for family, friends, and neighbors. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, feeding, or lots of love and attention, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I’m available for dog walking, drop-in visits, and boarding in my home. I do work a few hostess shifts during the week, but they’re only for a few hours, so I have a flexible schedule. Afternoons work best, but I’m happy to work with your schedule whenever possible. Your pet will get plenty of attention, exercise, and love while they’re in my care. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I have a very clean, pet-friendly home with a large, fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely play and explore. I don’t have any pets of my own, so your pet will have my full attention and a calm environment to relax in. I love spending time with animals, whether that’s going for walks, playing outside, giving cuddles, or simply keeping them company. I’ll send lots of cute photo updates so you can feel connected while you’re away. I also keep treats on hand (if approved by you!), and if an emergency ever came up, I have a trusted veterinarian just down the road for added peace of mind.

“Patrycja was great! She walked Oshie frequently and sent photos daily. When I arrived, Oshie was glad to see me, but also acted like he would have gladly gone back inside her house if I had let him 😂. I highly recommend Patrycja and will use her again if needed!”

“Serenity offered to meet our pups prior to their stay with her. She sent regular updates to let me know how they were doing. When we picked them up they seemed at ease. I will definitely reach out to her again when needed.”

“Christine was amazing to our pup while we stayed at a house that does not allow dogs. She is super friendly and caring. A true dog lover. We dropped off our dog on her Birthday and Christine sent special photos helping her celebrate it. Thanks again!”

“Hannah was amazing! She watched our boy for 5 days on a short notice. This was Ryder’s first time away from family. She took such great care of him! We really loved all of her updates with pictures & videos of their activities together. Ryder came back very relaxed and happy. We could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you so much, Hannah! ❤️”

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
