Our two beagles had a great stay with Jared! This was the first time we’ve left them with someone else and Jared was so accommodating, gentle, and kind with them. He also sent us frequent updates with photos. Our pups have separation anxiety and Jared was a pro at keeping them calm and distracted. We couldn’t recommend him enough.

Harper enjoyed her stay with Brittany and her family...and of course Inara. Brittany kept me informed of via photos and comments. Harper loved the kiddie pool in the backyard and snuggling with her son Weston on the sofa. We will gladly use Britanny's services again.

Carolina and her family opened their home to Godfrey for 5 nights. This was Godfrey's first time being away from me and he was in the best of hands. Carolina stuck to his routine and gave me plenty of updates. Godfrey is a very special dog and his personality was able to shine through with Carolina! I am so happy with the experience and would recommend her to anyone!!

Jill and her husband Doug were great hosts for our young, active Border Collie. They went out of their way to meet our needs. I had mentioned that Louie liked to chase a Frisbee, and when we arrived Jill had added one to her big bucket of dog toys. I was happy about the big play yard, but while we were away I received some pictures from Jill of Louie and his pals running at the beach. What a great place to leave my pet!

About: I love taking care of friendly dogs and making sure that they are as comfortable as possible. We'd have lots of play time in the yard, leashed walks around the block a couple of times a day and enough quiet and rest time to ensure a relaxing stay for your pet. They would be joining my neutered 5 year old mini bernadoodle (15lbs), Stella who is a real lady :-)) I work from home so will usually be around to look after and play with your pet. There will be yard play and leashed walks around the block with my furry friend. I have a fenced yard and will always be outside with your pet. Potty breaks are regularly scheduled as well as being as needed depending on your pet. Fresh water is always out, I like to give my dog a chewy treat or milk bone around lunchtime. When we walk around the block it will always be on a leash.

About: Hi, I’m Ariel! 🐾 Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. From growing up caring for family pets to rescuing dogs in need, I’ve spent decades learning how to understand and care for pups of all ages, personalities, and energy levels. I’m now a proud dog mom to two dogs of my own, both of whom I’ve personally trained from puppyhood. I’ve navigated everything from potty training, crate training, leash manners, and basic obedience to caring for senior dogs who need a little extra patience, comfort, and attention. Whether your dog is a playful puppy, a spirited adult, or a sweet senior, I treat every dog like they’re part of my family. I understand that every pup has unique needs, routines, and quirks, and I take the time to make them feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Expect plenty of walks, playtime, belly rubs, photo updates, and one on one attention. My goal is simple: for your dog to have such a great time that they’re excited to see me again! 🐶💕 Spending the summer in Sag Harbor, I’m fortunate to have access to beautiful walking routes and dog friendly areas, making every outing an adventure. I know how much trust it takes to leave your furry family member in someone else’s care, and I take that responsibility seriously. Reliable, attentive, and genuinely dog-obsessed, I’m here to provide the same level of care I’d want for my own pups. I'm up in Sag Harbor for the summer and currently semi retired from my 14 year career in property management. With two pups of my own I am fully capable of feedings, walks, potty breaks, playtime, cuddles, and some medical. I'm great at understanding the different personalities dogs may have. I will ensure your pups are always safe and well taken care of so you can stay worry free.

Ariel was great at sending pictures, giving updates on our dog and staying in touch. We would for sure trust her with our dog again!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
