About: Dog walking & sitting was my very first job, and has always remained my favorite. I am a mom to a 2 year old Cavalier King Charles boy but have cared for dogs of all sizes and ages, including older ones who require medications. I only work very part-time and am looking to make dog walking more a part of my weekly life! They say a job should be what you love doing and I love taking care of doggos. I can make your dog's care a priority, dedicating time and focus on them. I am punctual and trustworthy, and offer clear and consistent communication. I understand how it feels to leave your dog's care in someone else's hands. Sometimes we just have to! I will show up to your home on time, taking your doggo for the exercise they need, and making sure they have ample bathroom and play time.
“Briauna has been such a blessing to me and my pup! She has gone above and beyond to help me with not only walks but taking time to walk to my apartments management to get her own key working and being so easy going with a couple changes as I just moved to a new residence. It is the biggest relief for me to feel I have someone extremely kind and caring showing up daily to help my pup get his walks and potty while I am working and unable to give him as much time outside as I would like. I am very picky about who cares for him and enters the house and I can tell you I am very grateful to have Briauna to help us! Couldn’t recommend her more!”

“I’m so lucky that I found Jodi to help me walk my dog Mochi. Jodi is always on time and she is so patient with my dog. She sent multiple pictures even just for walks. Mochi loves to see her every time when Jodi came to pick him up. Jodi is also very flexible with my schedule as well which makes me feel so relieved. She is definitely reliable. I recommend her if you are looking for an excellent pet sitter/walker for your fur baby.”

About: I’ve been around animals for most of my life. I’m the friend people trust to take care of their dogs/cats while they go away. I’m adjustable to different breeds and needs. I am currently balancing being in school, but I am open to finding a time that works for both of us. Feel free to message me. ☺️ I understand every furry friend is different and I am adaptable to learn their routine! When I am in your home I will do what is possible to make them feel happy and safe.
“Christopher did a great job. He was communicated well and was reliable. We have a young vizsla who can be a little challenging but Christopher seemed to do very well with him and gave him plenty of exercise.”

About: I’ve spent my entire life caring for animals and have experience with everything from dogs and cats to horses, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small animals. Animals have always been a central part of my life, and caring for them comes naturally to me. Professionally, I worked at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute, one of the nation’s leading veterinary hospitals, where I gained hands-on experience supporting animal health and recognizing changes in behavior, appetite, mobility, and overall wellness. I also helped train dogs through Wildcat Service Dogs, which taught me how to work with dogs of different temperaments, reinforce training, and build trust through consistency and positive interactions. In addition to my animal experience, my healthcare background has made me highly dependable, detail-oriented, and attentive to safety. Whether your pet needs a long walk, medication, extra exercise, specialized care, or simply companionship while you’re away, I tailor my approach to their individual needs. I understand that pets are family, and I treat every animal in my care with the same patience, attention, and affection I give my own. My schedule allows me the flexibility to provide reliable care throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays when available. Animal care is already part of my everyday life. I currently care for dogs, cats, horses, chickens, and other animals, so maintaining feeding schedules, exercise routines, medication administration, and daily enrichment is second nature to me. I understand how important consistency is for pets, and I make every effort to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my highest priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, medical needs, and any special instructions before care begins. Pets staying with me enjoy access to 30 fully fenced acres in Gibsonia, providing plenty of room for exercise, enrichment, sniffing, and play in a secure environment. All outdoor time is supervised, and activities are tailored to each dog’s energy level, age, and comfort. With experience in veterinary medicine, service dog training, and caring for a wide variety of animals, I am comfortable administering medications, monitoring for signs of illness or distress, and handling pets with unique behavioral or medical needs. I provide frequent updates and photos so owners can enjoy peace of mind while they’re away.

My husband and I have started traveling a bit now that we have the time, which is why we have not gotten another pet right now. I miss having a furry companion around and want to love on yours! About: Hello! I'm a long time dog sitter who took a few years hiatus while starting a family. I have a high energy but aging Vizsla (Cooper), a new to the family rescue shiba inu (Winston), two young children (4, 1) and a husband who works from home most days. I love all animals but have a special place in my heart for dogs. I would love to treat your pet like family while you are away! Why I love dog sitting I have always loved dogs, ever since I was a little girl. Some of my earliest memories are me snuggling and playing with my first dog, a beautiful black lab named Winchester. I had years with a beloved boxer named Ebony that mark most of my childhood and the best Christmas I ever had was when my parents surprised me with Lionel, our family goldendoodle, as a puppy. I have grown up with dogs and can't imagine a life without a furry friend in it. My experience administering medication I'm a nurse practitioner so I regularly deal with medications and would be willing to help your pet as long as I am given proper instructions on how to give the medication safely! I work full time but have some flexibility with my hours. My husband works from home most days so your pup would generally have one of us home to play with them and care for them while you are away. We have young children so we are rarely out long or late! I have a large fenced back yard with plenty of space for your pup to play with mine! I take safety very seriously and monitor all playtime between your dog and mine.

About: For the past seven years, I had the privilege of sharing my life with my dog, Agatha, whom I adopted when she was around seven years old. She recently passed away at an estimated 14 years old after battling cancer. Caring for Agatha, especially during the last few months of her life, taught me patience, compassion, and how to meet a dog exactly where they are. As she got older, she needed more hands-on support. Whether it was helping her stand, carrying her when her body wouldn't cooperate (all 55 pounds of her!), or hand-feeding her because that's how she was most comfortable, I learned that every dog has unique needs and deserves care that respects their personality. Agatha was fiercely independent, so I always tried to give her as much dignity and choice as possible while making sure she felt safe and loved. While I'm not ready to adopt another dog just yet, I truly miss having one in my life. That's what brought me to Rover. I would love the opportunity to care for your pet, whether they enjoy long walks, playtime, or simply having a calm companion nearby. I live in an apartment with easy access to outdoor walking paths, sidewalks, and a nearby dog park, making it easy to provide plenty of exercise, fresh air, and opportunities to explore. My goal is to make your pet feel comfortable, cared for, and at home while you're away, and to give you peace of mind knowing they're in loving hands. I own a local fitness studio, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to plan my day around the pets in my care. Most weekdays, I'm available between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. for walks, drop-in visits, or spending quality time with pets. My mornings typically begin around 8:00 a.m., and I'm at my studio from approximately 9:00–11:00 a.m. and again from 4:00–7:00 p.m. Because I have flexibility throughout the day, I can provide regular potty breaks, exercise, meals, and companionship. Whether your pet enjoys an active walk, playtime, or simply relaxing with someone nearby, I'll make sure they receive attentive, personalized care while you're away. I know that every pet is different, so my first priority is getting to know your dog's routine, personality, and any special needs before their stay or visit. I'll follow your instructions closely, whether that's feeding schedules, medications, favorite walking routes, or little routines that help your pet feel comfortable. In my home, pets will have a clean, calm environment with plenty of attention, fresh water, potty breaks, exercise, and a comfortable place to rest. I live in an apartment with easy access to sidewalks, green space, and a nearby dog park for dogs who enjoy socializing (only with your permission). If I'm caring for your pet in your home, I'll treat your home with the same respect I would my own while keeping your pet's routine as consistent as possible. I'll also provide regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. Above all, my goal is for your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away.

About: Hello! My name is Izzy, I’m 21 years old, and I’m going into my senior year at Penn State while working at Rita’s Italian Ice in Cranberry Twp. I’m so excited to start my Rover journey! I’ve grown up with having dogs in my household all my life, from a 4 1/2 lb. Chihuahua to a chunky Toy Fox Terrier to a mighty but loving Rottweiler-Black Lab mix. I’ve also been tasked with taking care of my neighbor’s and friend’s dogs over the years, whether that be stopping over to give them food, bathroom breaks, and cuddles, or even staying overnight over the span of a week so the dog(s) don’t feel alone. Therefore, I’m hoping to be the best fit for you, too! Outside of dogs, I love to be in our pool when the weather is warm and being able to do so with my family, pick up new crafting hobbies like scrapbooking or embroidery, and go to concerts of a variety of artists (43 concerts and counting!), most recently being 5 Seconds of Summer. I can’t wait to start this opportunity and hopefully bring some relief to someone in need of dog-helping needs! I’m currently working part-time at Rita’s Italian Ice in Cranberry Twp., and the schedule always fluctuates between 4-6 hour shifts. I don’t have set days, but I’m typically scheduled one weekday and the Friday-Sundays, However, I have plenty of time outside of those shifts and always accommodate around them to ensure that all the dog’s needs are met. At home, I assist in letting our dogs play in our fenced-in backyard, giving them treats when they’ve behaved or done a trick we’ve taught them (sit and “paw”), taking them on neighborhood walks when it’s nice outside, assuring that their food and water are filled, and playing with them to get their zoomies out before everyone starts winding down for the night. Outside of my home, if there is not a fenced-in backyard, I’ve taken the dog(s) outside on leashes for bathroom purposes, as well as do all actions mentioned above from what I do at home. Some houses have also had puppy pads when necessary, and I always take appropriate measures to clean up any messes and re-lay down a fresh puppy pad.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
