About: Dog walking & sitting was my very first job, and has always remained my favorite. I am a mom to a 2 year old Cavalier King Charles boy but have cared for dogs of all sizes and ages, including older ones who require medications. I only work very part-time and am looking to make dog walking more a part of my weekly life! They say a job should be what you love doing and I love taking care of doggos. I have a high energy but aging Vizsla (Cooper), a new to the family rescue shiba inu (Winston), two young children (4, 1) and a husband who works from home most days. Why I love dog sitting I have always loved dogs, ever since I was a little girl. Some of my earliest memories are me snuggling and playing with my first dog, a beautiful black lab named Winchester. I had years with a beloved boxer named Ebony that mark most of my childhood and the best Christmas I ever had was when my parents surprised me with Lionel, our family goldendoodle, as a puppy. I have grown up with dogs and can't imagine a life without a furry friend in it. My experience administering medication I'm a nurse practitioner so I regularly deal with medications and would be willing to help your pet as long as I am given proper instructions on how to give the medication safely! I work full time but have some flexibility with my hours. My husband works from home most days so your pup would generally have one of us home to play with them and care for them while you are away. We have young children so we are rarely out long or late! I have a large fenced back yard with plenty of space for your pup to play with mine! I take safety very seriously and monitor all playtime between your dog and mine.

About: Hello! My name is Izzy, I’m 21 years old, and I’m going into my senior year at Penn State while working at Rita’s Italian Ice in Cranberry Twp. I’m so excited to start my Rover journey! I’ve grown up with having dogs in my household all my life, from a 4 1/2 lb. Chihuahua to a chunky Toy Fox Terrier to a mighty but loving Rottweiler-Black Lab mix. I’ve also been tasked with taking care of my neighbor’s and friend’s dogs over the years, whether that be stopping over to give them food, bathroom breaks, and cuddles, or even staying overnight over the span of a week so the dog(s) don’t feel alone. Therefore, I’m hoping to be the best fit for you, too! Outside of dogs, I love to be in our pool when the weather is warm and being able to do so with my family, pick up new crafting hobbies like scrapbooking or embroidery, and go to concerts of a variety of artists (43 concerts and counting!), most recently being 5 Seconds of Summer. I can’t wait to start this opportunity and hopefully bring some relief to someone in need of dog-helping needs! I’m currently working part-time at Rita’s Italian Ice in Cranberry Twp., and the schedule always fluctuates between 4-6 hour shifts. I don’t have set days, but I’m typically scheduled one weekday and the Friday-Sundays, However, I have plenty of time outside of those shifts and always accommodate around them to ensure that all the dog’s needs are met. At home, I assist in letting our dogs play in our fenced-in backyard, giving them treats when they’ve behaved or done a trick we’ve taught them (sit and “paw”), taking them on neighborhood walks when it’s nice outside, assuring that their food and water are filled, and playing with them to get their zoomies out before everyone starts winding down for the night. Outside of my home, if there is not a fenced-in backyard, I’ve taken the dog(s) outside on leashes for bathroom purposes, as well as do all actions mentioned above from what I do at home. Some houses have also had puppy pads when necessary, and I always take appropriate measures to clean up any messes and re-lay down a fresh puppy pad.

About: Although we’re new to Rover, we’ve owned dogs our whole lives and understand that every dog is different. Some want to play nonstop, others just want someone nearby while they nap. Our family (including our two daughters) are all dog lovers, so visiting dogs become part of the family while they’re here. We’re happy to adjust to whatever helps your dog feel comfortable and stick to the routine they’re used to. I (Keith) work from home several days each week, so pet care fits naturally into my schedule. Morning walks, yard time, potty breaks, meals, and playtime are already part of my day with my own dog, so adding another four-legged friend feels pretty normal. My wife (Leigh) is home in the evenings and on the weekends so we both get to give our dog and visiting dogs a lot of attention and love. We keep our availability realistic so every dog gets the time and attention they deserve. We have a fully fenced backyard and live in a quiet neighborhood that’s great for walks. Our own dog is friendly, but we don’t assume every dog wants an instant playmate, so introductions are always slow and supervised. If your dog needs their own space, that’s not a problem. We’ll follow your feeding schedule, medications, and any instructions you leave so their stay is as close to home as possible.
