I am a retired school teacher with a love for animals. A life-long pet owner, I have loved and cared for Beagles, Border Collies, Golden Retrievers, Corgis, and Newfoundlands. I currently have 2 mixed breed rescue dogs from Save-a-Mom Pregnant Dog Rescue in Ohio and a rescue cat from Beaver County Humane Society. I enjoy volunteering at Animal Friends as a trained dog handler, regularly walking the shelter dogs and taking animal enrichment classes. I am reliable, trustworthy and happy to help you with your pet’s needs.

Meet and Greet: If we haven't met yet, let's set up a meet and greet so I can meet you and your pet to best determine if I can meet you and your pet's needs. Drop-In Visits include feeding, watering, providing play time and potty time Cleaning food/water bowls, cat litter provided daily Dog Walking: I use a 6 foot lead. For multiple safety reasons, I prefer NOT to use a retractable leash. I am experienced with using Freedom Harnesses, Martingale Collars and Gentle Leaders if your pet wears them. Depending on your dogs’ sizes and leash manners, I can walk two dogs at once. I walk in most weather with the exception of extreme heat and cold, heavy rain, thunder and icy road conditions. Each dog has it's own heat and cold tolerance. We can work within their comfort /safety level when scheduling walks.

Amy is a fantastic and loving caregiver!! We are so lucky that we found her. She is attuned to both of our pets needs and spends quality time with both them in addition to all the tactical stuff (food, water, potty breaks). She is highly communicative and even brings in packages if they come so the house feels attended to as well! Do yourself a favor and book Amy!!
We had another wonderful experience! Amy previously took great care of our cat, and this weekend she watched our dog, Rusty. Rusty was so home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for when we came home to him! We really appreciated the updates, communication, and the genuine care they showed him. It’s such a relief knowing we have someone we can trust with both our pets. We highly recommend Amy and will definitely book again!

Schedule
Because I am retired, I have a fairly flexible schedule. Given 2-3 days notice, I am available most weekdays and weekends for house sitting, drop-in visits and walking.
