This provides a safer environment for your pet and an "at home" feel with plenty of attention, especially for reactive or aging dogs. I don't use crates or kennels but if you want to bring yours along that is fine, I also have 1 medium sized crate on hand if needed. I have a very clean home and welcome pets to feel comfortable if they would like to snooze on the sofas, bed, and we have a secure fenced in yard, but I do not leave dogs unattended in the yard. I usually take my dog to the local dog parks and nature trails and would bring yours along too. 🐾 🐾 Basic Info 🐾 🐾 I am an EMT, certified in Pet CPR + First Aid. For the past 25 years, I have been an animal caretaker. My favorite part is getting to know all of the different breeds and personalities. I always send lots of photos at the end of each day. 🐾 🐾 My daily schedule 🐾 🐾 I work from home as a university professor. My position is remote, so I am able to work anywhere with a wifi connection. I work for rover occasionally and my schedule is typically super organized and flexible. We do at least 2 active hours per day- and we try to squeeze in as many hikes as possible. My boyfriend is also very helpful with the dogs- if they are up for it, he will take them jogging every night.

About: I love pooches of all kinds, but have a special affinity for Boxers and Staffordshire Terriers and other short-haired dogs of their ilk. I grew up with dogs and owned two boxers for much of my adult life. Now that my last boxer has passed, I need to get all my dog love by taking care of yours! I live in the West End of Portland and prefer to work nearby, but can travel for the right friends. I work part-time so have some extra hours to give to walking and loving other peoples best friends. I don't have any pet of my own right now, so I really appreciate loving others. I used to have pets, but these days, we spend all of our homecare on our three-year-old human child, who is more than enough :-p

About: I have lots of experience working with animals, including time working at an animal hospital during high school, where I learned to care for pets of all kinds. I’m familiar with administering medications and meeting the unique needs of different animals. I am currently searching for a summer job while taking a couple summer classes while i finish my associate degree. My schedule is very open! In my home i have one dog a very friend golden retriever who loves playdates and we have a big yard by woods. About: Ive grown up around many different types of dogs. And am currently taking a course for pet grooming, and will be taking the course for dog training after! I'm available anytime between 7am and 2pm, and 3pm being the latest. Wednesdays and Saturdays are the best for boarding! Dogs and cats that are good with other dogs are a must, since my dog Penny goes everywhere with me! I unfortunately do not have a fenced in yard, but I do frequently take my dog (she's a spunky little 12yr old Xolo/Chihuahua mix) to the dog park here in Lewiston as well as go over to my grandmother's who does have a HUGE fenced in yard. And we also go on hikes to some of the trails close to town. So not only will your Pup get out often, but he/she will have about 5 other dogs to have playtime with. I also have 2 crates, so if your Pup requires to be kenneled at all I can do that.

About: I have had pets my whole life, ranging from cats and dogs to birds and lizards. Ive always had an affinity for animals, especially dogs, and would do anything I could for them. I understand that everyone has there own way of training and caring for there lovely pet and I would be more than happy to work with an owner to provide custom care for each new friend. I currently have a job during the day, however I am generally done at 2 and would love to provide care any time I can! I live right between two parks and frequently go spend time outside, especially at the beach once all the dogs are allowed. I hope to be able to spend more time with your pet soon!
