6. Colleen M.
“Words cannot express how helpful Colleen was for me yesterday! I needed someone to watch my pup Carter with short notice and Colleen was more than a dog sitter! It was like dropping her off with family, only better! She cared for Carter the same way I do, taking her for hikes, swims, and introduced her to agility! I was nervous using Rover for the first time, and Colleen set my mind at ease by sending me photos of the great time that Carter was having. Thank you SO MUCH Colleen!!!”

9. Jifka M.
“Jifka was amazing with my dog! My husband and I had to evacuate due to recent hurricane Florence, therefore we had no time to collect required documentation for a dog sitter. So thankful that Jifka was able to accommodate our dog at very short notice for a couple of hours while we were in Washington DC. I highly recommend her services!!”

About: I have a 3 year old mini sheepadoo and my boyfriend’s dog who is a rescue from Tennessee, he’s a 11-13 year old German Shepherd/Rottie mix and they are the best dogs. I trained them to be off leash and they get along with most dogs. Mushu is a little shy at first but once he’s warmed up he is nothing but a cuddle bug!! Working from home is very beneficial when it comes to caring for pets. It is very convenient to take a break and take walks or stop in and play. Safety is the top priority with fun being a close second! Pet safety is so important and will range from client to client. I am flexible and willing to work with you.

About: I've had dogs my whole life. My first dog was a gift for my 16th birthday. I've fostered dogs but fail too often. I am hoping by becoming a pet sitter I will find as much enjoyment in taking care of your dogs as I did fostering. I've watched friends and families dogs for years. I believe in positive reinforcement training. I do presently have three dogs that are all dog friendly. We enjoy hiking new locations for new smells. I have had all of my dogs for their whole lives, so I am familiar with puppies to older dogs. I work a full-time job Mon-Thurs. but am available nights and most weekends. Tell me what you need and I can let you know if I'm available. I do not have a fenced in yard, but happy to walk your dog on leach or place on a runner. We have plenty of room for dogs to run around. We have a 4-bedroom house that only my husband and I share. If your pet needs time alone or likes to be crated.. we can accommodate. Otherwise, they are happy to walk round the house with my dogs. Each dog has their own lifted dog bed with pillow on top for comfort. We also have a 3 bay garage the dogs can run around in without needing to be leashed.

She has a natural energy and enthusiasm that she brings to any task, big or small, and is quick to recognize and meet the unique needs of each animal under her care. Her natural affinity and passion for animals makes her a perfect fit for this line of work, while her diligence and efficacy will leave animal owners feeling reassured and confident their animal is being cared for by an overly competent and hardworking individual.”

I am available daily for scheduled walks, runs, visits and play dates. Planned in advance, I am also available for overnight care, short and long term. My home is pet friendly for those clients whose animals enjoy children and other dogs. Leashed walks/runs as well as off leash play off site. Dogs have always been a part of my family and when your pet is in my care, they are our family too! There’s nothing I enjoy more then the fresh Maine air and being surrounded by 4 legged friends! Pet care is not a one size fits all and I pride myself on accommodating the vast and special needs of each pet I care for.
