“Finding someone that you can trust that will care for and love your fur baby as you do can be challenging. We were able to find someone and more in Robin. From the moment we started taking to the meet and greet to leaving Remy with her for a few days was fantastic. Her communication was excellent and fast right from the beginning. We weren't gone long before she was already sending pictures which is something we said we would take any time.. throughout our few days away we received many updates and pictures and from the pictures we could see that Remy was very happy and being cared and loved just as we do. Robin's compassion to take care of and spend time with animals is very clear. Remy even seemed a little sad after we picked him up and brought him home like he missed her and her fun dog Stella. We can't recommend Robin enough and we will definitely be using again!”

About: I absolutely adore animals. I recently got my masters degree in natural resources and am now working for the state in Augusta. I grew up looking after my neighbors' dogs and cats and over the years I have looked after the pets of many of my friends. This always brought me joy and so I would love the opportunity to take care of your furry family members :) I would happily take your dog on walks and hikes, play fetch, and give them lots of love and attention. About: I’ve always been around dogs and got my own dog 8 years ago. I have have always taken care of dogs in my neighborhood for long amount of time or for even just to feed or let out. I have a full time job Monday thru Thursday but I’m free on the weekends. I’m most likely will not be available for major holidays . I live in a new apartment building that has a small dog park. About: I raised, trained, and cared for my family dog from a puppy when I was in high school. Post college I adopted a senior dog and cared for him for the last couple of years of his life. In the meantime I have been a sitter for friends and family dogs and cats over the years. I am used to giving medications (even when it needs to be disguised) and staying on a feeding schedules. I am very up for caring for senior dogs who want to lay around the house, and equally ready to go on long walks with a dog with more energy. I work from home always, so will be around during the day for pups who like to hang! I'm on the East End of Portland with the Eastern Prom very close by so plenty of places to walk and explore. I am usually out and about in the evenings for a few hours at a time. On the weekends I like to be busy, but can certainly adjust my time when I have a dog or cat around. I have a large one bedroom, and am on the 3rd floor. So my place is likely not good for pets with mobility issues (unless they are small enough that I can carry them). I live very close to lots of nature easily accessible and make a point to get outside often.

I currently have two labradors (one is an *angel* and can calm even the most Nervous Nellies, and the other just wants you to throw the dang ball!). Pets tend to feel calmer staying in their own space, and I’m there to give them company and attention throughout. For drop-in visits, I do a quick walkthrough on arrival to make sure everything is as it should be, follow your instructions exactly for feeding, litter box or bathroom needs, and always double check doors and gates are secure before I leave. For walks, dogs stay leashed at all times unless you’ve told me otherwise and I’ve confirmed the area is safe, and I stay alert to traffic, other animals, and weather conditions. For cats, I’m mindful of their comfort level and never force interaction or handling they’re not used to. About: Taking care of my two rescue dogs is what I enjoy. One is now 10 years old, and the other 16 years old. I have taken care of many other families and friends pets as well. They have always been extremely pleased with care provided. I hope to one day open and operate my own non profit dog rescue. Schedule is wide open as I am in transition between careers! About: Experienced dog owner with 3 dogs. Two dogs are reactive/timid, one of which has allergies and pancreatic issues so I am familiar with pilling and dogs with special needs. I am currently a full time law student looking for something with a flexible schedule. I have availability in the morning, late afternoon, and evening as well as weekends. I have a full time job Monday thru Thursday but I’m free on the weekends. I’m most likely will not be available for major holidays . I live in a new apartment building that has a small dog park. I usually take my dog on hikes or walks around the neighborhood.

About: I grew up dogs from the time I was little- labs, retrievers, shepherds- and had a special needs rescue dog with my partner for many years who lived to be fifteen. When she passed, my partner and I started boarding and house sitting regularly and have built up a pretty cute little pack. I am comfortable giving oral medication and upholding your dog’s schedule, house rules, and love to take field trips whenever possible. My favorite is when a dog can come with me everywhere, so smaller senior pups have become my specialty, but I can’t help but love all the dogs who come along. As a videographer and Maine youth basketball coach I have a lot of flexibility in my work schedule and spend a lot of time working from home editing videos. I’m fairly active, always happy to take breaks from work to walk around the neighborhood or find a pet-friendly beach to run around on. I’m in an apartment very close to Deering Oaks Park and the Western Prom. The apartment is a compact second story walk up and has been carefully maintained to keep it safe for curious noses.
