“Mindy was so sweet and kind! My dog who usually is aloof and takes some time to warm up to people instantly was going up to her and wanting attention! I know my babies got lots of loving while I was gone.”

“Brittnee is an amazing dog sitter! She took such great care of our puppy fisher! Followed all instructions and even sent us go pro photo and video. Fisher was in great hands and got lots of love from her!”

“We have worked with Katie before and she’s absolutely amazing. Very communicative, sending frequent check ins on our three pets while we are away. She takes great care of our home so we can rest easy on vacation. I would recommend her to anyone!!”

“Olivia is fantastic. I was very nervous to leave my cats and dogs and she was reassuring and very communicative when visiting our house to care for our Pets. From the moment we met Olivia, I could tell that she genuinely cared about our pets. I highly recommend her to anyone needing pet care.”

“Cory was very responsive and attentive to our dog and cat while we were away. He asked lots of good questions, had some good suggestions for our very energetic dogs and we felt confident that the animals were in good hands.”

“Tanya provided exceptional care for our cat and two dogs while staying over a long holiday weekend in our home. She asked excellent questions during our "meet and greet," so when it came time for us to leave our animals we knew they were in good hands. She arrived to house sit early afternoon on Friday and left late on Monday to accommodate our travel schedule. Our animals each have particular needs and personality quirks. For instance, we have one high energy dog that requires oral medication, frequent potty breaks, and long walks. Our other dog is content sleeping all day and needs to be convinced to take short walks! Plus, the energetic dog will eat the lazy dog's food if given the opportunity, so we feed them separately. Then, our cat is low maintenance, but still needs food, water, affection, and to have her box cleaned daily. Finally, the dogs wake up at 5am for breakfast (whether we're awake or not). Caring for the three of them is a lot of work and Tanya did a great job attending to their needs! We came home from vacation to happy, heathy pets and a clean house. We could not have asked for a better pet sitter. I highly recommend Tanya and would absolutely employ her services again.”

“Heather was absolutely amazing watching my dog. She communicated how he was doing with lots of pictures. Its really made being away from my fur baby a lot easier. Thank you Heather so much!!!”

About: I bring years of hands-on animal care experience from veterinary clinics, kennels, and long-term pet sitting, including special-needs care for a senior dog who requires diapers, hourly potty breaks, medication management, and a strict diet. My background in veterinary support and my 5-year commitment to caring for three dogs from one family means I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and fully comfortable supporting pets with complex routines. I treat every animal with patience, confidence, and genuine love, giving owners peace of mind while they’re away. Pet care fits easily into my weekly routine because, with school wrapping up, I have plenty of time to focus on consistent, reliable visits. I plan my days around each pet’s needs, keeping feeding, walks, and medications on schedule while balancing a few prior commitments on set days. For the most part, I’m available daily, which allows me to offer flexible booking, dependable check-ins, and attentive pet-focused care that never feels rushed. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routine exactly, keeping feeding, meds, and potty schedules consistent while maintaining a calm, clean environment. I provide gentle companionship, monitor behavior and health closely, and send regular updates so owners feel connected and reassured. My goal is to respect the home, reduce stress, and ensure every pet feels safe and understood.
“MEGAN AND ERIC ARE THE BEST!! They took expert, loving care of our pets! They played with them and sent pictures of a game of fetch with our dog. They even stayed to comfort her during a scary thunderstorm. They're truly wonderful people. Highly recommend.”

“Amy was the most fantastic “aunty/nanny” to our fur babies, Wednesday the puggle and Mittens the chonky kitty!! Amy was able to meet with us a few days prior to sitting for us, so she could meet our “children” and we could become comfortable with her. She won me over by making a point to greet them by name!!! Then she even messaged me with a follow-up suggestion based on a discussion we had at our meeting. Amy arrived timely and cheerfully on our departure day .. making a point once again to greet the furries warmly by name. And even though Wednesday greeted Amy with enthusiasm again by jumping up on her, Amy took it in stride and with patience. Amy stayed overnight until the following evening, and had no problem giving medication to Wednesday that night. She kept in contact with me throughout the weekend by sending updates on our furries’ behavior and multiple photos, which was such a comfort!!!! We couldn’t have been more grateful!! This was our first time using Rover.com after some suggestions from family and we have only high praise for the company AND Amy!!! I’d absolutely recommend Amy for watching your “kids” .. whether for a few hours or several days!!!! We will definitely be using her services again!! :) THANK YOU, Amy!!!”

“Michelle is incredible! She helped us immensely by caring for our pupper in home while we enjoyed a weekend away. Having recently moved, It was important for us to keep our pup less stressed in a familiar environment - Michelle totally understood and approached Finley with patience and KINDNESS!! Michelle sent the best photos of our little man and I knew he was in excellent hands. Michelle is an animal whisperer and we are just so glad to have found her 🥹 ty Michelle!!!!!”

“Kortney does amazing, takes this job very seriously. Met every single need of our pets. Took great care of our stressed out cat and was even able to make friends with her. Gave her medication just right. Our pooch loves her and was wonderfully taken care of. Kortney's communication is spot on!!! She was able to schedule drop in visits the entire week before we left to give our cat a chance to know her. Took great care of our home and watered my outdoor plants for me. Our cat gets idiopathic cystitis when she is stressed so needless to say we were worried about going but this could not have been better and was the most relaxed vacation I have had in years!”

“Carli took amazing care of our dogs and cat. She was very flexible with us given the somewhat short notice of our request, very good at staying in touch, and sent plenty of pictures of the kids! They loved having her over to keep them company. We would happily recommend her services and will definitely be coming to her first in the future!”

“Hannah was amazing with both are twin puppies. Very prompt In responding and the pictures were amazing! I was able to enjoy vacation knowing my dogs were taking care of so well by Hannah! I will be using Hannah every time we need someone to take care of my dogs!”

FAQs for House Sitting - Bondville
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 211 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Bondville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bondville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bondville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bondville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bondville. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
