About: I have had a disabled dog of my own since I was 8, he has seizures frequently. I also have dog sat for my neighbor on multiple occasions, of which was very large, required medication, and emotional support for her anxiety. I work part time at a restaurant so I have more than enough time to provide high quality and detailed care to your furry family members. If I work, they're typically nights, so I am more available during the day or after I get off work to do some final check ins with the pets before bed. As the care would only happen in your home, I take great pride in leaving the home better than I found it and ensuring your pets health, comfortability, and safety with the information and materials provided to me.
About: I have 7 dogs at my house and been around animals my whole life we have 3 cats as well and chickens! I love taking cares of any time of animal you just need teach me! And I always make sure my dogs play nice at home we do have two boys who fight but they are separated and live happily in their own worlds lol.
“Jennifer is great. She came to meet us and Bernie before she started walking him. We get photos and updates! She’s very nice and knows a lot about dogs so we feel really comfortable with her 😊”

“Absolutely phenomenal dog walker. Tracy was professional, extremely competent and caring with our two small dogs, and was very communicative before, during, and afterwards to give us peace of mind. Highly recommend Tracy for any of your four leggeds.”

I'd say I have a deep caring nature when it comes to all living things from puppies, cats, dogs big and small, turtles, fish, hamsters, plants, you name it! I I've had many people rely on me to take care of their pets with no complaints and I hope to also be that person for you! I am currently working a part-time job, so I have plenty of time to take care of your furry friends/family! My schedule varies from Monday to Friday. On days I work, I am available any time after 5pm and on days I don't work, I am available any time during the day and night. I am willing to work weekends as well knowing that for many people it is the prime time for short trips away from home. I have experience with house and pet sitting throughout the years for family, friends, and neighbors. Guiding and helping others is something I truly value within myself and I can guarantee that I am trustworthy when it comes to ensuring your pets are taken care of, knowing they have a non-so-furry friendly guest coming to look after them!
About: I’ve owned German Shepherds my whole life and have over 10 years of hands-on dog care. I’ve cared for breeds of all sizes and personalities through feeding, walking, playtime, grooming, and sticking to their daily routines. I treat every dog like family, making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I’m currently unemployed and actively looking for my next opportunity, which gives me a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to focus on pet care. I can be available throughout the week, adjust to your routine, and make sure your pets get steady, attentive care, lots of affection, and consistent updates. I’m really looking forward to dedicating my time to doing what I love most. Giving animals the care and comfort they deserve. I genuinely light up meeting new pets. I can’t wait to learn your fur baby’s quirks and favourite things. I care daily for a long-haired German Shepherd, four cats, fish, and a leopard gecko, so keeping safe setups and sticking to routines is second nature. In your home, I’ll follow your instructions to a T, keep things clean and calm, and send upbeat, regular updates, so you can relax knowing they’re safe, loved, and truly seen.
“Ashley is awesome!! She was great with our male lab who is still learning the ropes on the leash. He loves her! She’s warm, friendly, thoughtful - going above and beyond for us. She is definitely an animal lover through and through. You’re in great hands in her care. Highly recommend Ashley!”

About: We have taken care of pets for many years. Our kids love animals, but some are allergic. Pet sitting is how we get around letting kids still play with furry friends. I work from home full time and have a flexible schedule, allowing for variable availability for your pet babies. Your pet will be loved and taken care of. I have a fenced yard and can section off your pet inside or crate if needed. It’s a safe and flexible environment with care and affection.
About: I have had dogs and cats my whole life. I am very familiar with the day to day needs they have, I enjoy taking them for walks and providing general day to day care. I also own fish and geckos, so if you have any small animals that need care, such as reptiles, rabbits, etc. I would be open to caring for them as well. I graduated high school last year and am currently living at home. I have a very flexible schedule and can be free to provide care most days of the week. I do not provide care in my home as I have dogs of my own who don't love to be around other pets. I would provide care in your home.
“Selena is great! She's so friendly and thoughtful with her updates on how walks went and taking photos to show my dog is having fun. Definitely happy to have found her, and very grateful for the help!!”

About: Hi, I’m Tess! I live in Charles Town, WV with my two-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Louie, and two cats, Tatiana and Rudy — so your pet is walking into a home that already loves animals. I take a slow, easy approach to dog care. I let dogs sniff, wander, and just be themselves, whether we’re doing a neighborhood walk, a quick potty break, or a longer trail outing. Every walk is just two dogs at most, so your pup gets real time and attention. I always send photo updates along the way so you can see how they’re doing. I welcome dogs of all sizes who are friendly with other dogs, cats, and people. For boarding, I have a large fenced backyard and keep things small and relaxed — more like a home than a kennel. I also offer occasional house sitting for dogs who are happiest in their own space. I’d love to meet your pup! Feel free to reach out to check availability or set up a meet-and-greet. Fridays are my day off, so walks are unhurried and get my full attention. For boarding, I'm home all weekend, so any dog staying with me has someone around rather than sitting alone in an empty house. Dogs staying with me have access to a large fenced backyard and are never left alone outside. Inside, I keep a calm, low-stimulation environment. My Cavalier Louie lives here full time, so any boarding dog will be introduced to him gradually and supervised until I'm confident they're comfortable together. I do a meet and greet with Louie before confirming any boarding stay. For house sitting, I follow the owner's routine as closely as possible so the dog's environment feels as normal as it can while they're away. Photo updates are sent throughout any service.

About: I have been caring for animals for as long as I can remember and have experienced with both cats and dogs. I also completed pre-veterinarian classes in school, which gave me a valuable knowledge about animal care, behavior, and well-being. As a pet owner myself with two dogs and three cats, I understand how important it is to provide pets with patience, attention, love, and dependable care while their owners are away. I am available Monday through Friday at any time to care for your furry friends! Whether your pet needs walks, feeding, playtime, or regular check-ins. I am happy to provide walks tailored to your dogs needs, whether that be a shorter walk, extra exercise, or longer outside time. I also enjoy spending time playing with pets to help keep them active and happy. If needed, I can also feed your pets according to their regular schedule and make sure they receive the care, attention, and routine they are used to.
“I am extremely grateful to Audrey for how she has helped me with my little cooper and especially how she treats him. Excellent person, very professional, I recommend her. I definitely trust her.”

“RD did an amazing job with walking our pups while my mom was watching them when we were out of town. Our pup seemed to enjoy their walk every night! We really appreciate all of the photos she was sending to us; we really missed our fur babies so those photos were so special! I would 100% recommend her to anyone and will definitely be booking with her in the future. Thank you so much RD for taking such great care of our pups!”

“Angie did a great job taking care of my pups! She stopped by to meet them before and took the time to know everything about them. It was great knowing they were in good hands during my trip. Definitely recommend her!”

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Bloomery. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Bloomery.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bloomery. On Rover:
- 91% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
