1. Coronado Dog Beach
Ocean Blvd, Coronado, CA 92118
- Some of the best scenery in the San Diego region
- Located near the historic (and possibly haunted) Hotel del Coronado
- Please keep your dog leashed on the walk from the parking lot to the beach.
2. Grape Street Dog Park
1998 28th St, San Diego, CA 92102
- The largest of THREE dog parks located inside Balboa Park
- Wide open fields surrounded by groves of eucalyptus trees
- Drinking fountains for dogs and restrooms for people
3. Fiesta Island Park
1590 East Mission Bay Drive, San Diego, CA 92109
- This large peninsular park located within Mission Bay is almost entirely off-leash
- Check out the beach side to play in waves, or the bay side with calmer waters
- Plenty of scenic walking paths and picnic areas to enjoy
4. Canine Corners Dog Park
9550 Milden Street, La Mesa, CA 91942
- A a 501(c)3 Nonprofit Public Charity supported by volunteers and donations
- Within Harry Griffin Regional Park in La Mesa
- Features three separate play areas for dogs of different sizes/energy levels
- Only three dogs per handler allowed
5. Nate’s Point Dog Park
2500 Balboa Dr, San Diego, CA 92103
- Located on the west mesa of Balboa park
- 2.3 acres of grassy parkland for dogs to explore
- One of the most popular dog parks in the San Diego region, thanks to its convenient location
6. Ocean Bean Dog Beach
- Known as “The Original Dog Beach,” it’s one of the first off-leash dog beaches in America
- San Diego’s only 24-hour dog beach
- Mile-long peninsula offer plenty of room to wade in the waves
- Almost always crowded, so best for very social dogs
