• The top-trending food-inspired names for dogs in San Jose are Choco (672%), Koji (672%), and Banana (172%). For cats, the names Peanut (452%), Lychee (152%), and Tofu (102%) are trending up in 2022. 
• Asian alcoholic beverages are having a moment in San Jose. The dog names Koji and Soju are each trending up 672% in 2022. 
• San Jose Earthquakes’ right-back Tommy Thompson and midfielder Niko Tsakiris are inspiring local pet parents this year–the dog names Tommy and Niko are trending up 572% and 172%, respectively. Niko is also trending up for cats, at 152%.  
• Are cats the new babies in San Jose? Cats named Baby are trending up 152% in 2022.
