At Rover, we know a day of summer fun is best spent with your pooch! But when dogs aren’t allowed everywhere that humans are, planning your adventures can get tricky. For the next few weeks we’ll be bringing you some of the top dog-friendly establishments in major U.S. cities so you can start exploring the city you love with your best friend by your side.
First up – San Francisco!
Le Marcel Dog Bakery
For the refined pup, Le Marcel Dog Bakery offers scrumptious doggie delicacies, like their signature Border Collie Bon-Bon’s and Terrier-Missou. The sight of these beautifully made baked goods may even have you salivating! But the folks at Le Marcel don’t stop there—they also sell packaged treats and customized orders, turning out everything from signature cookies to wedding cakes.
The Pour House
The Pour House is loved by tow-legged and four-legged San Francisco locals alike. This dog-friendly Polk Street favorite features a lounge setting and has 25 wines by the glass, 7 drafts by the pint or pitcher, and an array of rotating craft beers. They have small bites available, but you can also order takeout from many local restaurants to enjoy without leaving.
The classy and cozy French bistro Zazie is adored by regulars for its warm atmosphere and homey feel. This family feel includes your pup too, as Zazie welcomes dogs at their sidewalk tables daily. If your Papillion prefers patio seating, check out Zazie’s Bring Your Dog to Dinner Night every Monday, where dogs are welcome on the heated patio!
Annabee’s Doggie Boutique and Cafe
Annabee’s Doggie Boutique and Cafe is home to San Francisco’s first doggie café! Their menu offers pooch friendly organic entrees like chicken pot pie, duck pate, and braised lamb patties. While they don’t have a human menu, they are happy to order in from nearby restaurants so you and Fido can dine as a family.
