About: I'm a lifelong cat owner and recently adopted a 6-year-old Newfoundland/German Shepherd mix who's the bestest boy. I'm a frequent pet sitter for my aunt's high-energy black lab, and love hiking with my pup. Whether your pet is playful, shy, or just needs a buddy while you're away, I’m happy to help. I'm currently working part-time, so I'm available Monday-Thursday from 1:30-5pm (potentially earlier or later, depending on location), and all day Fridays (although Friday I will be working, just remotely). About: Hello! My name is Stephanie Austin. Growing up in rural Delaware, we always had at least one family dog who we took on long off leash walks and played cat h with in our big backyard. Having so much space allowed for the opportunity to connect, bond with, and read our dogs while they were having tons of fun and just being themselves. Fun Facts: I have previous dog sitting experience, and I used to volunteer at my hometown SPCA, where I got to learn and play with over 40 different dogs. When I graduated high school, I adopted Minnie, and she has been by my side ever since. For twelve years, she has been my hiking partner, shot gun rider, and my little spoon. I understand that your dog has their own unique set of personality traits, and I look forward to learning them and playing with them! I currently work out of town Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays. So I am home free from Friday through Monday. I am able to stop by your home several times a day to let your animals outside and spend time with them! Overnight house sitting is pending. About: My childhood home always had at least 2 dogs and 2-3 cats. Pets are and always have been an integral part of my idea of family. Besides my own pets, I have taken care of friends' and neighbors' pets my whole life. And I love to take dogs on little adventures. Seeing the excitement on a dog when just going to the neighborhood park or wash makes the trip so much more fun. I work full time from my home and without set hours. My children are at school during most of the day. On weekdays we like to go for walks in our neighborhood in the early evening. On the weekends we like to go to the city parks and it is definitely more fun to bring a dog. I have a large wraparound yard that is fenced and a dog door which I can close when needed. I like to take walks in the morning and early evening times. Dogs must be kid friendly. I have 2 daughters: a 6 and 5 year old. They love dogs and enjoy the care part (walking, feeding, brushing, bathing---it's fun for them). The girls are at school most of the day so your dog will get a break. We regularly take the dogs we care for to Himmel and Rio Vista park; we are there a lot. I have one female 8 yr old cat who is used to dogs but also wants her space (dog should be cat friendly).

About: I've been caring for friend's and neighbor's pets since I was a teen, and I would love to come give your pets some affection and exercise while you're busy or away! I've lived with many dogs with many different personalities, and have experience working with reactive, anxious, and high-needs dogs. I adopted my (2yo) dog as a puppy and have been learning a lot about puppy training too! I practice positive reinforcement training and I'm happy to turn our walks and play time into opportunities to work on your pup's training. I'm available to come play with your dog, take them for walks, and make sure they get lots of loving attention! I currently work as a field botanist and my schedule is variable throughout the year. When I’m in town I can be available most times of day with advance notice. I try to keep my calendar updated a month or two in advance with my availability. I'm happy to follow any requests, rules, or special needs you have for your pet. I find treats to be a great way to befriend most pups- unless you have particular treats for your dog, I'll typically have treats to share! If your dog takes some time to warm up to strangers, or has trouble walking in places where they may interact with other dogs, I am more than happy to work through their needs with you and the pup.

I've had dogs in my family since I was a little kid. I have a particular soft spot for small dogs and grumpy elderly dogs who just want to relax. I currently have 1 dog, 1 cat, 3 tarantulas, a 20g aquarium housing a school of tetras with a pleco, a leopard gecko, a flock of quails, and colonies of mealworms and dubia roaches. Family-quality pet care is part of my daily routine since I have a small zoo of my own babies. I like to be particularly attentive to pets' body language and cues. My dog loves Brittany and I love her too. She communicates well. She let me know my dog had an upset stomach - I had no idea he was feeling bad! Thanks to her we were able to adjust his food till he felt better. Every time we leave town we use Brittany to do daily walks. (relatives keep dog but don’t walk him- he needs his exercise!)
