About: Hello, I was raised with every pet from dogs to snakes. While I am new using Rover, I have done pet sitting all throughout my adult life. I love all animals and hope to spend time with yours! I have taken care of cats my whole life but have spent the past few years in school for law and showing dogs professionally. This comes with experience in whelping litters, emergency and primary vet care, transport, nutrition, conditioning/exercise, training, cleaning and general care for dogs. I also have fostered for many years in both California and Arizona which comes with experience in temperament evaluation and training, medications, quarantining pets when necessary and working with very young and very old animals. While I have a lot of experience in taking care of pets, I respect that everyone has a right to do it differently, and keep an open mind in how to care for pets. I always follow directions from the owner even if they conflict with how I take care of my own pets as long as it is not directly harming the pet. I am currently on a year long break between undergraduate and law school, so I have plenty of time to care for your pet(s) and drop by as needed. I always prioritize the pet's happiness and wellbeing. While I love interacting with cats, I am also totally understanding if there is a cat that wants space. I also am aware from prior pet sitting experience that sometimes a pet can behave differently when their owners are not home, so I try to take every precaution when it comes to their safety. I am aware of the foods and plants that are harmful as well as what a cat can safely play with. I also know how to properly clean and sanitize messes that a pet can make such as urine, feces and vomit. I have worked with raw pet food so am well versed in how to minimize contamination. I also have strict sanitation procedures from my dog showing days that I always follow between handling different pets. I also always carry with me a basic vet care bag and am able to treat light burns, small cuts and flush out eyes if need be. In the case however that any medical assistance may be necessary, I always check with the owner beforehand with what they want me to do.
“Taylor is very punctual, communicative, shares cute pictures of our pups, and is super sweet and patient with our two chihuahuas. We highly recommend Taylor!”

“Nadia has been amazing!! I can tell my dog absolutely loves her. She doesn’t just walk my dog she also runs with her to burn off extra energy! She has been kind enough to bring in packages that got delivered during the day as well. I will definitely continue to use Nadia and highly recommend!”

“Sasha was such a wonderful dog walker and sitter for my dog Pepper! She was always on time, very communicative, and made sure to keep me updated on Pepper whenever she was in her care. I never had to worry about Pepper when Sasha was taking care of her. I will definitely be using her again and I can’t recommend her enough to take care of your dog!”

“Took great care with our dog, Bella. It took no time at all for Bella to warm to Logan & get excited to see Logan arrive each day for her walks. Would recommend and use Logan as a dog walker. Good communication about arrival times too, that helped me get Bella ready for her walk ahead of time. Thank you Logan from both Bella & myself.”

“She’s amazing! A huge life saver able to do a half hour cat check in and dog walks last minute after I hurt my foot. Sarah is absolutely wonderful with animals, her genuine passion and love shows in everything she does. I’d recommend her to anyone and will be using her services again!”

“Thomas does such a great job with both my high energy pup and her older sis! You can see the love he has for what he does. The pups are excited for his arrival every morning and ready for naps by the time he brings them back. Best decision ever 😁”

About: I've been caring for friend's and neighbor's pets since I was a teen, and I would love to come give your pets some affection and exercise while you're busy or away! I've lived with dogs with all kinds of personalities, have fostered dogs and cats for PACC, and have experience working with reactive, anxious, and high-needs dogs. I adopted my (almost 3yo) dog as a puppy and have been learning a lot about puppy training too! I practice positive reinforcement training and I'm happy to turn our walks and play time into opportunities to work on your pup's training. I'm available to come play with your dog, take them for walks, and make sure they get lots of loving attention! I currently work as a field botanist and my schedule is variable throughout the year. When I’m in town I can be available most times of day with advance notice. I try to keep my calendar updated a month or two in advance with my availability. I'm happy to follow any requests, rules, or special needs you have for your pet. I find treats to be a great way to befriend most pups- unless you have particular treats for your dog, I'll typically have treats to share! If your dog takes some time to warm up to strangers, or has trouble walking in places where they may interact with other dogs, I am more than happy to work through their needs with you and the pup.
“Mikayla is very reliable and professional. Luke has enjoyed his long walks. It usually takes a few walks for him to relax with a new person walking him but he seems to have taken a quick liking to Mikayla!”

About: I have taken care of both puppies and adult dogs. I have a flexible schedule and can drop by more than once daily if needed! I’m retired and have an open schedule. I can do multiple visits daily if needed. I also have the flexibility to do longer visits if needed to provide socialization and comfort for your pet! I don’t have the ability to care for pets in my home, but I’m available to go to my clients’ homes as frequently as needed. “Maggie was absolutely amazing! If I could give her 6 stars I would. From the moment we met her we could tell how caring she was and how much she loves animals. She was so good with our little chihuahua and was amazing about sending updates with photos and videos. We are so thankful we found Maggie and hope to work with her again in the future. If you are looking for someone to take good care of your fur baby, look no further! Maggie is hands down the best!❤️”

About: I've worked the past three years at a local dog grooming salon and pet supply store and am currently volunteering at a cat shelter, and I am very comfortable with pets of all sizes, breeds, and ages. Much of my previous job was spent hands-on with the dogs in the store and getting to know our customers. Additionally, I work in the medical ward of the cat shelter, giving me lots of experience with senior and disabled cats and kittens. I have experience de-escalating situations between dogs and reading dog and cat behavior. I've spent my entire life around animals, from dogs to birds to horses, and I absolutely love all of them! I am currently enrolled in night classes at cosmetology school, but I am available all day Fridays-Sundays. During weekdays, I will be available all morning, giving me plenty of time to care for pets! I have a senior dog of my own and am very patient and positive. I can easily crate most sized dogs if needed and safely lift dogs up to 45 pounds.
About: I have always lived with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, have volunteered at no-kill shelters for many years, and have worked with many sick AND healthy dogs over my years as a veterinary assistant! I am no stranger to animal care and I will use my two years of experience to ensure that you receive the best care possible! I am currently a veterinary science major studying at the U of A! I want to have the most experience possible with a variety of companion animals as I work towards my goal of becoming a veterinarian! Before coming to the UA, I had a full time job at an amazing clinic where I learned so much more in depth animal care! I am all about pet safety and I am a very hypervigilant pet sitter/walker as I only want what is best for my clients! I am able to watch pups outside if predators are a concern or obstacles like a swimming pool. Happy clients and pets are of utmost importance and I provide daily pictures/videos of pets to ensure that owners feel at ease! I also require meet and greets before bookings because I love to get to know you and your pet a little more and ensure that we are a good fit!
About: Hi! Friends call me Ellie! I've been working as a pet caregiver for over fifteen years. Building relationships with my clients and their pets is something I pride myself on. I have many years of experience volunteering in shelters and working with dog trainers. I specialize in working with shy dogs who need someone who will respect their space in order for them to feel comfortable. I have taken care of many animals with various medical and behavioral needs including diabetic dogs and cats. Pets I'm most familiar with taking care of are dogs, cats, horses, ferrets, rabbits, rats, fish, and snakes. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask! I look forward to speaking with you soon. I work from home and I'm able to be quite flexible with how much time and attention your pets need! I'm super happy to hang out during the day with your pets if that's preferred, but I can not currently do overnights. I move at a pace that is comfortable for your pet. Not all pets are ok with hands-on interactions right away and that's ok! Once your pet(s) and I have built some trust, we will spend time doing whatever is most beneficial for them whether that's walks, playing, or cuddling. I also am very happy to keep up with current training. I'm very familiar and comfortable using e collars, prong collars, and other tools if desired!
“Morgan was wonderful! She is an excellent communicator and very authentic in her care for Izzy. She sent great updates and photos. We will certainly use her in the future to care for our fur child.”

Iron Horse dog parents share their Rover experiences
Makenna was great with my dog Bodhi! He needed some extra walks during the day while I was away on a last-minute work trip, and she made sure that he was well exercised and cared for by the time my partner got home. So grateful for her attentiveness and flexibility!

Oliver is great! His availability on Tuesdays and Thursdays works perfectly with my schedule at work. Very reliable and easy going, a critical thinker and able to anticipate a pet's needs. Both my late senior (RIP) and young foster took to him easily. Will book again!

Parker took excellent care of Baloo during drop-in visits. He did a great job of following my list of pretty extensive instructions, and spent extra time keeping my anxious boy company. I received daily photos of a happy dog! I will not hesitate to book with Parker and Alysa again.
