âAdrienne is awesome and straight up THE BEST! She is super dedicated, very professional, and easy/very reliable regarding communication. I canât recommend her highly enough, and I have zero hesitation leaving my Lily with her.â

âWe are so happy to have found such a great companion for our senior dog Meela. Tyler agreed to watch Meela last minute and kept us informed the entire time. Our elder girl simply likes to hang out with humans, and eat treats in her retirement age. Itâs hard to find sitters that wonât leave leave her alone due to her high anxiety. All she needed was a friend, and we are glad to have found one in Tyler.â

About: I am the current owner of an 10 week old Rough Collie and a two year old Dalmatian Lab mix. Our fur babies are just as important as our human one! My family also has solid experience with senior pets. I have had many and varied pets over the years: cats, dogs, hamsters, gerbils, Guinea pigs, birds and have loved them all! I will love your baby just like my very own! Thank you for the privilege of allowing me to care for your non human babies! I look forward to meeting each and every one! If you talk with any of my family and friends they know how crazy I am about my fur babies and your fur babies will too! I look forward to meet you in person! Sincerely, I am a full time stay at home caregiver for my dad who is partially paralyzed. I am able to always be available to your pets in my home. I am able to let your dogs run free in my fenced-in and private back yard and I can walk them daily or more around my pet friendly neighborhood.
âSophie was fantastic and Eva seemed happy when I went to pick her up. I would be very comfortable leaving Eva in Sophie's care again if needed. Thanks for taking good care of my sweet girl!â

âMaureen & her family were so wonderful! It was my first time using Rover so I wasnât sure what to expect, but they exceeded any expectations! They were so friendly and really accommodating at the last minute. They made my dog Bear feel right at home, and you can tell they are passionate dog people so theyâll make you and your pup feel comfortable too! Maureen sent me pictures throughout the day, took Bear for walks, and gave him so much love. Iâll definitely use them again in the future when something comes up and I need a sitter!â

âLucas, his dog Luna, and their whole family are wonderful! This was Walterâs first Rover experience and he had an amazing time! His seven month old self has never been so tired!!â

âJessica took amazing care of our puppy! Her yard is an oasis for dogs! We felt confident leaving Brodie in her care! He had SO much fun! Thank you Jessica!â

âValerie was terrific! She treated our little Hattie like her own and provided routine updates with pictures. We've already scheduled our next Doggy Day Care!â

About: Iâve taken care of pets for friends and family since I was a kid. I love all animals, especially dogs and cats. I canât walk past a dog on the street without asking politely to pet them! Two years ago I rescued my dog, Stanley, who is a 24 lb terrier mix. He was abused and took a very long time to warm up, but after a lot of patience and love heâs now thriving and the best boy. I learned a lot with Stanley and feel equipped to work with shyer dogs. Stanley also likes hanging out with other dogs and would enjoy some company around the house! I currently work from home full time, so my availability is flexible. Stanley and I would be happy to have you hang out with us at my place (Iâd recommend a meet and greet first). Or, I could stay at your place with your pet if thatâs better for them, as long as I can have access to the WiFi so I can work. I live close to a nature trail that I take Stanley on daily, and weâre very familiar with the neighborhood. I can take frequent walk breaks and crate your pet if needed.
âJustin takes amazing care of Finn, and Finn gets along so well with Justin's corgi, Watson. We also get tons of great updates about how Finn's day is going, and it's clear he always has a great time. Thanks again!â

âCarol has been very responsive and has taken in our girl Georgie. Georgie is a little timid and backwards at first, but Carol made her feel right at home. Georgie took to her welcoming, home environment and settled right in. She gets along great with the other babies being baby/dog sat, and Carol is very good with her. We will be using Carol in 2025!â

âMillie stayed with Greg a few time days now. Some were full days some were half days! He was great about sending pics and taking care of Millie. They did 2 walks every time. He was very accommodating with my hours of need. I would highly recommend him.â

About: Reliable boarding, house sitting and check-ins with lots of love and attention. Why pet parents love booking with me ⢠Work from homeâpets get lots of attention ⢠Quick responses and easy communication ⢠Daily photo & video updates ⢠Reliable, dependable care ⢠Comfortable with dogs and cats ⢠Plenty of walks, playtime, and affection ⢠I treat every pet like family Whether your pet is staying in my home or I'm caring for them in yours, my goal is simple: I want you to enjoy your trip knowing your pet is safe, happy, and getting plenty of attention. I've been around animals my entire life and have experience with both dogs and cats. As a cat owner myself, I understand that every pet has a unique personality, routine, and comfort level. Because I work from home, pets in my care aren't left alone for long periods. They receive frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, cuddles (if they enjoy them), and lots of supervision throughout the day. When you're away, you'll receive regular photo and video updates, quick responses to messages, and the reassurance that your pet is being cared for like one of my own. I'm committed to keeping your pet's routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I know how much trust it takes to leave your furry family member with someone else, and I don't take that responsibility lightly. I'd love the opportunity to care for your pet! I only care for a limited number of pets at a time so each one receives plenty of individual attention. Please contact me for any questions or to set up a meet and greet! â¤ď¸ Since I work from home, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. Iâm available for boarding, walks, drop-in visits, or pet sitting in your home depending on your petâs needs. I also enjoy getting my steps in and staying active, so walks and playtime are something I genuinely look forward to while making sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. Your petâs safety and comfort are always my priority. In my home, pets will have a clean, calm, and supervised environment with plenty of attention throughout the day since I work from home. I do currently have two cats, so I ask that dogs staying with me are cat-friendly. In a clientâs home, I respect your petâs routine, follow feeding/walking instructions carefully, and make sure they feel comfortable and stress-free while youâre away. I believe pets should feel safe, loved, and treated like family in any environment. I have a pet-friendly backyard space for supervised outdoor time, walks, and play. Since the yard is not fenced in, safety and supervision are always a priority.
âChristy made our trip to Pittsburgh to see a ball game super easy and stress free. Met us at the door for pick up and drop off and sent happy pictures along the way. Our puppy had a great time playing and chilling out. Great experience.â

About: Iâve always been a dog lover and both me and brother rescued Labrador early prior to the covid year. We love him so much and since I moved countries he now lives with my parents in India. I wear a paw on my necklace which is a memory that he is not far away and will always take care of my parents behind me. Zorro now sits on the dinner table and enjoys all family meals. As someone with medical training and a responsible active lifestyle, I am calm under pressure, highly dependable and attentive to routines, medications, special care needs and feeding schedule. Whether your pet is playful or prefer quiet companionship Iâm happy to adapt to their personality and needs. Looking forward to meeting you and your furry family đž I relocated to Pittsburgh from Boston for my medical training this year. I thrive on a schedule and can work if we plan the days well in advance together. I will be open to taking care of your pet as needed and happy to coordinate a schedule for walks/boarding at my house with you. My partner and I are trustworthy, active, and organized, and we genuinely care about making your dog feel safe and loved while you're away from home. đž I live in an apartment with my spouse who has grown up all around dogs as pets since he was a kid so we both love dogs but donât have one of our own currently. Your pet is allowed on our sofa and enjoy the area of a one bedroom. If I am at your home, I will aim to make your pet feel as comfortable and stress free as possible while the owner is way by keeping a normal routine in their own home environment. I will carefully follow your instructions and communication is very important to me, so I can provide regular updates , photos and check-in to help the owner feel reassured. As someone with a medical background I am very attentive to details and safety.
âAlexis was very responsive during our "interview" stage and very pleasant upon arrival. Although prince was anxious to leave he seemed to be comfortable and safe and that's all that mattered. Thank you for being available.â

âJoe is wonderful! He took great care of our dog and kept us updated with photos and information throughout the day. We are looking forward to making Joe our regular dog daycare provider!â

âSuch amazing care and flexibility with my schedule. Frankie is also only 10 weeks old, but Maria and her family were very welcoming and caring for his puppy needs. Iâm truly grateful for finding them!â

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Blawnox
We are first-time dog-owners, and finding someone to watch our puppy Royce felt overwhelming. But Royce stayed with Tyler for a day as a trial run and came home happy and unstressed - and we felt so thankful to have found someone who was not only comfortable for Royce but who also enjoyed our puppy. The pictures and updates were very fun to receive; Royce clearly had a great time. We have already booked two future boarding dates with Tyler!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your petâwhether thatâs early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Blawnox commute.
If your schedule changes, itâs best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dogâs fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0â7 kilograms and/or 7â18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pupâs socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dogâs pack, check the sitterâs profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dogâs vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitterâs care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, youâre adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
