About: We’ve had dogs all our lives and have not been without a dog for the past 15 years. We love spending time with our furry friends and friend's and family's furbabies. We have experience with dogs of all sizes, from teacup chihuahuas to large great danes. Stephanie even worked at a doggy daycare in her teens/early 20s. While we mostly take care of dogs, we would love to have the privilege to spend time with your cat(s), too. We currently have 1 dog and 1 cat of our own and are ready to spend time with your special animal baby of any (except snakes for Stephanie- so sorry!) species. (If you have a cow that you'd like to be checked on, Stephanie is your girl!) We both work from home. When you aren't available or are just too darn tired to take Winnie the Poodle for a walk or they just need someone to spend some time with, hit us up and we’ll do it for you! Our schedule is pretty flexible. If our calendar here isn't showing that we’re available, send us a message anyway and we can probably work something out. In our world, furry companions aren't just pets—they're cherished family members, each with their own quirks and unconditional love to share. We’ve spent a lifetime embracing the joy of treating them not just as animals, but as beloved children with wagging tails and boundless affection. In our care, your pets are not just under a watchful eye; they're enveloped in a warm embrace, showered with the same love and attention we give to our own family. Because to us, love knows no bounds, whether it's wrapped in fur or flesh.

A short day boarding with Coralee, but our dog loves to play with Bo and Angel. We have another week long stay coming up with Coralee. She’s always communicative, sends lots of pictures/videos/updates, and of course we appreciate how well our pup is taken care of at Coralee’s. Plus, she loves to play with Bo!

About: I’ve taken care of pets for friends and family since I was a kid. I love all animals, especially dogs and cats. I can’t walk past a dog on the street without asking politely to pet them! Two years ago I rescued my dog, Stanley, who is a 24 lb terrier mix. He was abused and took a very long time to warm up, but after a lot of patience and love he’s now thriving and the best boy. I learned a lot with Stanley and feel equipped to work with shyer dogs. Stanley also likes hanging out with other dogs and would enjoy some company around the house! BOARDING NOTE: for the safety of my dog, your dog, and my home, I only accept boarding requests for dogs that are crate trained. Thank you for understanding! I currently work from home full time, so my availability is flexible. Stanley and I would be happy to have you hang out with us at my place (I’d recommend a meet and greet first). I live close to a nature trail that I take Stanley on daily, and we’re very familiar with the neighborhood. I can take frequent walk breaks and crate your pet.

Maria and her husband have been great with my mini bernedoodle puppy. I take him over for doggy day care 2 days a week and I get updates as well as many pictures of him running and playing! It makes me feel less stressed to know he is being well cared for while I’m working. I would definitely recommend them!

We are first-time dog-owners, and finding someone to watch our puppy Royce felt overwhelming. But Royce stayed with Tyler for a day as a trial run and came home happy and unstressed - and we felt so thankful to have found someone who was not only comfortable for Royce but who also enjoyed our puppy. The pictures and updates were very fun to receive; Royce clearly had a great time. We have already booked two future boarding dates with Tyler!

About: I’ve owned, trained, and taken care of dogs for 26 years. I’ve had a Dachshund, Beagles, Rottweiler, and have fostered - and trained - a German Shepard, two Pit bulls, Husky, and currently a Penkingese. The German Shepard came to me from a friend who was rescuing him but couldn’t train him properly so I spent almost 2 months with him - trained him how to walk properly on a leash, stop nipping, and to become a follower rather then a pack leader. I then returned him to my friend (who I can give contact info so you can ask directly) who still has him to this day. My Rottweiler was the first dog that I had living on my own and within a month she was potty and crate trained, I trained her to walk properly OFF the leash, and even trained her to only sit in one specific spot in the car (passenger side backseat). She unfortunately passed away before my kids were born and it wasn’t fair to adopt dogs with the zero free time babies give you. My kids are now older and since I work from home, I’m excited to have dogs back around. Everyone (including dogs) that enters my home is treated like family. I’m a very hands on parent and that translates to all levels of care - whether it’s a pet or kid. I personally walk twice a day (typically by myself) so your dogs will be engaged and exercised. If you have any questions, feel free to ask - I’m very big on transparency. I work full time from home but own my own business. Due to this, I don’t have a fixed schedule or designated breaks or lunches, I can start and stop whenever I want or need to. Your dogs will never be interrupting or waiting on me for whatever they might need. I have a home with a good sized yard. Since I’m home 99.9% of the time, there really is no need to crate (unless for whatever reason you require that for sleeping or some other situation). They can sleep with me and sit on furniture (again unless you don’t want that due to the rules in your home and those rules will be followed and respected here). I’m home throughout the entire day as I work from home. He/she will be engaged & never alone while here. We also have a young dog who is sweet with all. We have long leashes and a fairly private yard, are frequently outside and would never leave them unattended. We treat all those who enter just as family.

This is the first time I used Rover for dog sitting, and I absolutely hit the jackpot with Greg!!! I highly recommend him to anyone in the North Hills area of Pittsburgh for dog-related services. He is very friendly, caring, highly flexible, and trustworthy, and he maintained excellent communication/was highly responsive during the week that he watched my lab, Lily. Not a single concern crossed my radar leaving Lily with Greg for doggy day care. I knew she was in good hands and would be looked after well.

About: I’ve looked after multiple dogs of different breeds and sizes so I have experience looking after nearly all kinds of dogs. I am capable of also looking after multiples dogs at once, truly caring for them, and playing with them. My wife and I will spend our time and efforts to make your dog feel at home. As I have dogs of my own, it will fit like a glove as I will be caring for your dog alongside my own. I will treat your dog like my own. Dogs are very important to me regardless whether it’s my own dog or someone else’s. I will make sure that dog is safe and feels cared for in any environment.

Mimo had such an amazing time with Liz and her family! Upon meeting, I immediately felt relieved leaving Mimo with her. Liz is very experienced with all types of dogs and was very attentive to Mimo when interacting with other dogs at daycare. She asked about Mimo’s quirks and dislikes upon booking which showed her understanding in the different personalities in dogs. Mimo loved them and can’t wait to see them again. Thank you Liz!

Laura was wonderful with our puppy! She was super communicative and provided a clean, warm, and safe space for our dog for the day. Our young puppy was well supervised, had plenty of bathroom breaks, opportunities for rest and exercise, and lots of great enrichment thanks to Laura's unique household set-up. I feel very fortunate to have found Laura as a great option to send my dog and have already booked several more dates.

I brought my two fur babies to Pittsburgh, PA to be with me while I attended my class reunion. I found Ms. Carol on Rover. Immediately when I saw her face I knew she was the one I could trust my babies with. Ms. Carol, I’m so pleased to have met you. My babies were safe, looked after as if they were hers, attended to when needed, but most importantly, welcomed into her home by her fur babies.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 650 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Fairview Heights. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Fairview Heights commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 650 sitters in Fairview Heights, 88% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
