My cats were very stressed after a difficult experience with another sitter, and during her first visit she spent extra time with them to help them feel safe and comfortable. Her calm, patient, and gentle approach made such a noticeable difference in their stress levels, and I truly believe her care helped them settle. She was also excellent with communication. She kept me informed about any visit time adjustments, sent wonderful photos, and was very understanding of any of my check-ins, especially during that first visit when I was understandably anxious. She was consistently sweet, reassuring, and thoughtful throughout the entire experience. It’s such a relief finding someone who genuinely cares. About: I have been taking care of dogs for the last 10+ years. Family and own. Experienced with puppies and senior dogs. I care of dogs like if they are mine. Currently at home and flexible schedule. Taking care of pups fits perfect on my daily schedule. After dropping kids at school I spent time with our Golden Retriever either walking in the park or chasing a ball. So most of the day I available to watch for pets and fits perfect with my children schedule. My golden is a friendly dog which loves to play with kids and other dogs. Depending on each pet they can be all time together or they can be by their own as I have dog gates.

About: I’ve participated in taking care of animals since I was 5, and took on full responsibility since 11-12. My home has always been full of animals (mostly consisting of cats and dogs) and at most had 11! Usually it’s a pretty 50/50 split between the two. We’ve always rescued animals so they come to me in any shape or form, many kittens / puppies and many seniors! I would love to come by and see your fur babies! Sunrise to sunset, my schedule is very open to coming by and saying hello to any fur baby! I currently can’t work, so what better way to spend my time! Anything the client requests! I’m unable to host any animal visits, but I’m very open to traveling. The care will consist of any basic activities I’m needed to do, feeding, cleaning up any accidents in the home, managing the animals crate, playing with them and getting their energy out for a nice sleep afterwards, and anything else needed!

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
