“We couldn’t be more grateful for Kristin! She took such wonderful care of our sweet girl - lots of walks, playtime, and love. She also sent us regular updates and the cutest pictures, which made us feel so at ease while we were away. We could tell our dog was super happy and comfortable. Would absolutely book with Kristin again! Highly recommend!”

“Lisa was a pleasure for us. When I first asked Lisa for taking care of my Cavalier King Charles Madison, she responded very quickly. I am new to Murfreesboro. I didn’t know anyone yet that could take care of my girl. She came over to my house and we had a little meet and great. Madison really liked Lisa. They got along very well. I could tell that she really liked animals. While I was gone she sent me photos of their time together and gave me an update about how Madison was getting along. We had a very good experience with Lisa.”

“Amaya did a wonderful job! She was very easy to communicate with and I loved seeing all the pictures she took. Would definitely recommend Amaya for your pup and will be booking her again!”

“Paige was great with my cats! She communicated clearly before, during, and after the drop-in visit. She cared for the necessities and gave my little buddies plenty of attention. Most surprisingly, one of my cats who is extremely shy and is rarely seen by anyone except immediate family let Paige pet her. Great experience. Thank you, Paige!”

About: I’ve participated in taking care of animals since I was 5, and took on full responsibility since 11-12. My home has always been full of animals (mostly consisting of cats and dogs) and at most had 11! Usually it’s a pretty 50/50 split between the two. We’ve always rescued animals so they come to me in any shape or form, many kittens / puppies and many seniors! I would love to come by and see your fur babies! Sunrise to sunset, my schedule is very open to coming by and saying hello to any fur baby! I currently can’t work, so what better way to spend my time! Anything the client requests! I’m unable to host any animal visits, but I’m very open to traveling. The care will consist of any basic activities I’m needed to do, feeding, cleaning up any accidents in the home, managing the animals crate, playing with them and getting their energy out for a nice sleep afterwards, and anything else needed!
“Hannah did an amazing job taking care of my bunny boy! We did a meet and greet a few days prior to my leaving date, and she was very excited and happy to watch my bunny boy! Both of us got along great. Hannah is very good with communicating to me anything about my bunny boy. Loved the pictures she took and the comments she left! Will be booking with Hannah in the future!”

About: Real-Life Experience with Dogs, Flexible, Family-Friendly Approach: As a stay-at-home mom with two kids (including a toddler who enjoys having pets around), pet care naturally fits into my daily household routine. This allows for a homelike, attentive environment that can make pets feel safe and relaxed. Also a reliable and consistent routine is something I am attentitive to: my schedule as a parent ensures structured days, meaning pet routines (feeding, walks, playtime) are handled reliably—just like I manage consistent routines for my own family. We can absolutely send you some selfies and updates throughout the day if needed! We are a photo friendly family 📸 I am a stay at home mom with lots of time on my hands. My toddler will keep them busy 24-7 so no need to worry about them not getting energy out! I will be the main caretaker. I have a fenced yard that offers safety for any pets staying here as well as a gate at the bottom of the stairs so they can’t go up the stairs and potentially hurt themselves.
About: I have many years of experience taking care of dogs of all ages and health statuses through my family fostering dogs throughout my life. We took in all breeds but mostly basset hounds. I currently have a dog named Piper who is 7 years old. I get off of work early in the afternoon and would like to fill my free time in the afternoons and weekends with caring for animals. I have an apartment in a very walk friendly neighborhood. There is plenty of areas to go for long walks in the neighborhood as well as walking trails.
“Elizabeth was kind, communicative, and most importantly treated our Louie so well! It looks like they had a lot of fun together from the pictures she provided. We would absolutely use her again in the future!”

“Shelley is extraordinary and helps us in so many ways Yesterday she came on very short notice during an emergency to give us peace of mind. She has even taught Presley to roll over, and all sorts of manners have improved such not picking up sticks, sit. stay, etc. There should be a special title for someone whose calling is to minister to pets. What a gift! :)”

“Taylor was great with my Blue boy! He has some special dietary and medical needs and I was worried about leaving him for so long, but Taylor took great care of him while we were away. Would definitely recommend her to any kitty owners!”

About: I have over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments, Cats, and farm animals. I’m comfortable with everything from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need extra patience and attention. I’ve helped with walking, feeding, bathing, and administering basic medications. I treat every pet like my own and always make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. My schedule moves for what you guys need! I want to make your like easier so you can stress less! I’ll move anything around! 😁 I live in an apartment with a dog myself so I’m not able to take in clients for in-home sitting at this time! I’m so sorry!

About: I’ve been caring for pets since I was a kid, and it’s always been more than just a job to me—it’s a joy. Whether it’s walking a playful pup, checking in on a shy kitty, or giving extra love to a senior pet, I bring patience, responsibility, and genuine care to every visit. I love both dogs and cats, and I’m known for being hardworking and dependable. What sets me apart is how much I truly enjoy helping people feel at ease, knowing their pets are in loving, capable hands. I currently work part-time on weekends, so I have a flexible schedule during the week. I'm available for walks and check-ins during late mornings (around 10am–12pm) and early to late afternoons (1pm–5pm). I’m happy to work with your pet’s routine and make sure they get the attention, exercise, and care they need when you’re away! When I visit a pet in their home, I always make sure they feel safe and comfortable in their own space. I follow any instructions closely—whether it’s feeding, medications, crate time, or just sticking to their usual routine. During walks, I keep pets on a secure leash at all times, avoid high-traffic areas when needed, and stay alert to their body language and energy level. I believe in treating every pet with kindness, patience, and respect, just like they were my own.
About: I've spent my whole life living with dogs and being surrounded by animals! I started truly taking care of my animals when I was 14. Making sure their water bowl was full, feeding them when my parents couldn't, taking them out to let them sunbathe or just frolic, playing with them, and taking them on walks. I know how to take care of dogs all ages! I have experience with high energy dogs, low energy dogs, and anxious dogs. I also have experience with dogs that go through seizures. My second oldest dog, Chilis (yes I named him that when I was about 5 or 6 😂) has had seizures since my family adopted him many years ago. I've learned how to help him through these rough times and bring him back to a normal state afterwards. I love animals so much and it would mean the world to me that you would trust me to watch your precious fur babies! I currently just moved back home where I live with 3 dogs. So in my everyday life I'm making sure they're taken care of. I cannot care for your pets at my personal home but I can care for my clients pets in their own home where they are most comfortable! I will make sure they get plenty of outside time, that their water bowl is always full (and food bowl depending on how my client feeds their animals), I will take my clients pet out for walks, play with them and even cuddle with them if they want me too! I also would love any advice from you on how I can make your pet feel the happiest and safest while I'm with them!
About: I have personally owned a dog since I was at least 11, sometimes multiple dogs at a time. While I have only ever personally owned large dogs like Great Danes and German Shepherds, I have taken care of neighbors and family members dogs as small as chihuahuas. So either big or small, the size of the furry friend does not matter to me. I have fed, walked, bathed, and just generally taken care of more dogs in my life than I could keep track of. Plenty of friends and family have relied on me for their dog caring needs while they have been at work or out of town. I am currently working full time, in customer service, but I have a background and previous job experience in law enforcement. So if it’s a safe and reliable person you’re looking for then I’m the perfect fit. I’m available all days of the week before or after work to take care of your pets! My schedule changes weekly so the hours will slightly very. While my current place of residence isn’t the most extravagant for an animal ( I am a broke, apartment-living, college student after all), I love making any furry friends just as comfortable in their own home as if they had known me forever. I try to make it so that anything your pet is used to, does not change simply because I am there.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
