Pet care experience

I will love them like you do!

I enjoy getting to know new pets with their funny personalities. I love my recurring clients as well, and genuinely try to give as much love as their owners do. I ask owners several questions during the free meet & greets, keep detailed notes of their responses, and carry them with me always. I have a Beagle named Woodrow. He's is 4 and is a mama’s boy he loves playing with other dogs especially larger ones. I grew up on a farm with a new litter of puppies and kittens each year to help care for. We also raised chickens, and I've found that several of my clients have them. I've had a yellow-bellied slider (turtle) for 15 years. I would love to have to opportunity to get to know and love ALL of your pets...not just dogs and cats. Don't hesitate to ask about care for any pet in your home.

Molly T is terrific! We have four cats, which can be a handful with their different quirks, one of which also needs medications, and she handled them all so well! We were gone for 11 days and not once worried about the cats as Molly T communicates daily with pictures and videos and clarified any questions she had regarding their care. She emptied our trash and got our mail too! Everything was clean when we got home and cats didn’t even seem to mind that we had been gone! I will definitely rebook her when we need a cat sitter again!

Molly was excellent as our first time pet sitter! Our dogs were not stressed when we arrived home and that is because Molly spent so much time playing and loving on them on each drop in visit. I would highly recommend and will use her for future visits!

Molly was amazing! I needed her last minute and she was very responsive and communicative. She took care of my cats like they were her own. I loved all the photos and videos she sent! Definitely booking her again in the future. Thanks so much Molly!

I unfortunately cannot recommend this sitter based on my experience. While my cats were fed and basic care tasks were completed, there were repeated issues with timeliness and communication during the booking. There were two significant delays on the first day, both outside of the scheduled timeframe, and communication around those delays felt reactive rather than proactive. When I brought up my concerns, the response focused heavily on past reviews, communication being one of her “top-rated” qualities, and the financial impact a potential Uber would have had on her, rather than acknowledging the stress and concern the delays caused for both myself and my cats while I was out of town. The overall handling of the situation left me feeling uncomfortable rather than reassured. During one of the visits following that conversation, a significant amount of time also appeared to be spent on the phone discussing frustration about the situation while inside my home, which I did not find appropriate or professional. I also did not feel confident in the quality of engagement my cats received during visits. Much of the interaction appeared minimal or centered around obtaining photos for the Rover card rather than genuinely interacting with them. Over the course of only a few visits, my cats became increasingly stressed and avoidant, and one visibly flinched away during an interaction, which was upsetting to see when reviewing footage from my home cameras. I had put considerable time into my cats’ care profiles and discussed detailed instructions during the meet and greet, but multiple details either did not appear to be reviewed thoroughly or were not consistently followed during care. I understand that everyone can have an off day, but given the overall experience, the stress it caused both myself and my pets, and the way concerns were handled, I would not personally book again.

I am currently home full-time. I start doing check-ins/walks around 6:30 AM and go as late as midnight some days. I have lots of clients that work long, overnight shifts. They need me as late as 11 PM and that’s totally fine! Hit me up if you are in a similar situation.

Safety, trust & environment

I care for pets in my clients’ homes at check-in’s based on the instructions given during meet and greets. I have multiple recurring boarders that come over to play with Woodrow regularly. Although I am in an apartment, the pups get the living room to play and are taken on long walks in the neighborhood. There are several low-traffic blocks that we walk around. I also have a private patio and small yard/garden patch behind my apt where I have lead ties so they can be hooked up while I work in my garden. Since I already have my own cat and dog to take care of, I don't typically stay overnight and housesit for others’ pets in their homes. But, certain exceptions can be made so it never hurts to ask. I have done it in the past.

Pets

A typical day

One question I ask during meet and greet is, “What is your pet's favorite game or toy?” I follow all instructions given to me by their owners.

Cats
0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
over 101 lbs
Dogs over 1 year old
Unspayed females accepted, neutered males only
No females in heat
Crate-trained dogs only
Molly can host up to 1 pet per night
I only work a small radius around my home. So, the first question I usually ask for a check-in or dog walking is, “What is he closest major intersection or neighborhood to your home?” This is just to check that you’re in my service area. I don’t need an exact address until we actually book something. Then I’ll ask if you’ve ever used Rover before. If not, I can send you a $20 off promo code for your first booking. All other questions I ask at the meet and greet. Meet and greets are 30 minutes long or less if you prefer - no longer. I need to know if your pet is on any medications. Also, do they have any allergies, special needs, or dietary restrictions? What is their favorite toy/game? Just tell me anything else I need to know to make each pet and owner comfortable and calm.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
