Raeann was an awesome sitter! My cats absolutely loved her and she returned the love. Raeann provided lots of updates and photos, and kept me in the loop with everything. She even left my place cleaner than I left it before I went out of town! I would highly recommend Raeann for your pet sitting needs!

So happy to have Patty look after our two cats while we were gone over the holidays. Timely feedings, excellent communication, and great photos. Our boy particularly warmed up to her. Very pleased with our service! Hope to have Patty sit for us again.

About: I can’t compare myself with other sitters, other than to say I love animals. I’m a recently retired federal employee with the National Weather Service. I love dogs and cats and looking to stay busy. I’m recently retired so my schedule is very flexible. I can provide walks or in-home supervision. My schedule is wide open and adjustable if helpful. My first two in-home bookings went very well and I’m enjoying walking another dog several days a week. Clear communication is critical before and during, in case unexpected things occur. Also, during the 4th of July weekend I watched my daughter’s dogs. I dealt with their reactions to the never ending fireworks and a stressful medical situation with one of the dogs that fortunately turned out OK.

About: Hello, I'm Michaela! Ever since I was a child, I have had either a cat or a dog, whom I was responsible for feeding, walking, and cleaning up after. Needless to say I am a total Animal Lover. We live a fairly active lifestyle so if your pet needs to move, I'll tire them out before you pick them up. 3 of our favorite places to walk are the nature trail at McDowell Dam, the trails near Fort Lincoln - past Mandan, and the river trail behind Sertoma Park. If your dog is a social butterfly, I also enjoy going to the dog park. Anytime I care for any animal, I approach them with compassion and empathy. I pay close attention to the animal's body language and tend to their needs as they appear. I have worked with dogs and cats of all backgrounds. I am experienced in giving shots and meds. I have end of life care experience as well. Thank you for taking the time to read about me 🙂. I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies soon! I work at a local Doggy Daycare/ Training Facility. If I'm working while your dog needs care, I can bring them to work with me! I have a fenced yard and two big, playful girls to keep your pup company. If it's not too hot or cold, we may take a fieldtrip to the dog park!

About: I’ve had years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities from playful puppies to sweet senior dogs. Confident in handling walks! This is a side hustle to help pay for my college fund, and I’m also working with remote jobs so I have a lot of free time. When I care for pets in their own home, I stick closely to their regular routines to help them feel safe and relaxed. I follow detailed instructions for feeding, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and bedtime routines. I also keep the home clean and tidy, give regular updates with photos/videos, and make sure your pet gets lots of attention and comfort while you’re away. I treat your space with the same respect I would my own.

About: Bilingual. When I was born, my family already had a German Shepherd who was with us until 2005. Since then, I’ve cared for dogs, cats, birds, turtles, and even chickens, learning how to adapt to pets of all ages and personalities. Had my first dog of my own in 5th grade and stayed with me until 2021, and along the way I also raised cats, rescued a turtle, and cared for both a parrot and a parakeet. I recently moved to Bismarck and, while I haven’t had my own pets this past year, I’ve been dog-sitting my relatives’ pups and dogs. Spending time with them reminded me how much joy animals bring and inspired me to help other pet parents feel confident knowing their furry friends are safe, loved, and well cared for. Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little bit about me. I look forward to meeting with you and your beloved family member. Will gladly provide picture updates of your furry friend. Currently work from home and can have some flexibility during lunch time with a 2day notice in advance. Preferably from 11:30/noon fwd. Free in the afternoon on weekdays & free most weekends. I am active and enjoy exercise and enjoy taking dogs on walks or short/slow jogs. Will take pictures of activities I do with your pet and would love to share them with you. Bilingual. I have a ~1/2 acre lot a fenced in backyard, corner house in a nice neighborhood. Have walking trails near our house. Multiple pet friendly neighbors and surroundings.

About: I’ve been around and loved dogs since as early as I can remember. I’ve owned and cared for a dog myself for over half my life and have experience in puppy training as well as senior dog care. I’ve worked as a kennel assistant at a dog boarding shelter and cared for a multitude of dogs. I understand how every dog is different and needs to be cared for in various ways depending on their needs. My love for animals continues to grow daily. I'm currently in school everyday from 8:30-2:30. After that I have many available hours of free time depending on what I have planned for that day. I’ve been unemployed for more than 3 years due to complications and unavailability and health complications, but now doing much better and having so much extra time on my hands. I thought that pet care would be a great fit for me right now and as it’s something I enjoy on a daily basis and have a passion for caring for animals. I have a fenced-in backyard with lots of room for them to run around and play, and/or lots of comfortable places for them to relax indoors. I will welcome any and every pet take them in and care for them to the best of my ability. making sure they’re getting the best care and love while they’re away from home. I know how hard it can be to trust your beloved pet with someone while you’re away but please trust and know I will care for them as I do my own, with love and respect until they’re back in your arms.

About: I’ve grown up with cats and dogs in my house since I was born. I currently own 2 dogs, Finn & Sasha. I have experience from small dogs to extra large dogs, elderly dogs and puppies, calm dogs and ones that crave chaos. Whatever category your dog fits in, I’m your person. I’ve dealt with dog reactivity and gone through training with that as well. I currently work a 9-5. I am able to do morning walks and drop in before, as well as after. My weekends typically have more availability. I make sure that your dog will feel safe and comfortable with me. Creating a strong bond is very important, especially with dogs that like a schedule. About: I’ve had a love for animals my entire life and have grown up caring for dogs, cats, chickens, and a wide variety of other pets. I currently have two cats, three dogs, and a flock of chickens of my own, so I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine, and needs. I’m responsible, attentive, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. When your pets are in my care, I treat them like my own—with plenty of love, attention, patience, and care. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away! I work Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, but I’m happy to work pet visits around my schedule! I’m available for visits before work, after work, and in the evenings, and I can be flexible depending on your pets’ needs and routine. I’m happy to communicate ahead of time to find a schedule that works best for both you and your pets. I believe pets are happiest and most comfortable in their own home, surrounded by their familiar sights, smells, and routines. When I care for your pets, I’ll follow their normal schedule as closely as possible—from meals and fresh water to potty breaks, playtime, walks, cuddles, and medication if needed. I’ll also make sure their space stays clean and comfortable while you’re away. Most importantly, I’ll give your pets plenty of attention and companionship so they feel safe, loved, and cared for until you’re home again.

About: I’m a caring, dependable, responsible, detailed, age mature pet sitter who treats every pet like family. I understand that every animal has a unique personality and needs, so I provide patient, personalized attention. I’m comfortable caring for young pets who need extra guidance, energy, and supervision, as well as senior pets who may need a little more patience, comfort, and gentle care. What sets me apart is my commitment to making pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. I take pride in being reliable, attentive, and giving each pet the same care I would want for my own. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine, and I’m committed to making sure each pet receives the attention, exercise, feeding, and companionship they need. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time to caring for pets throughout the day. I plan my day around the pets in my care, making sure they have regular meals, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention. I’m also able to provide extra care and check-ins when needed, depending on each pet’s routine and individual needs. I understand how important consistency is for pets, so I do my best to maintain their normal schedule and keep them comfortable while their owners are away. Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets. I provide a calm, clean, and comfortable environment where pets can feel safe and relaxed. I follow each pet’s normal routine and pay close attention to their behavior, feeding, exercise, and overall well-being. When caring for pets in their owner’s home, I treat the home with the same respect and care I would give my own. I make sure doors and gates are secure, pets have fresh water, and their living areas are clean and comfortable. I’m also attentive to any special instructions provided by the owner. I understand that leaving your pet with someone is a big responsibility. My goal is to give both pets and their owners peace of mind by providing dependable, compassionate, and attentive care.

About: I have owned and cared for my own dog(s)for about 10 years and I used to do my own dog lessons for about 2 years until I left for college. I worked at a vet clinic for a year and learned general care along with medication distribution so anything like that doesn’t bother me. I’m working part time at two jobs that are very flexible, and my early mornings are open till 9am, and evenings are open most days of the week. I am good at communicating so if there and any questions or concerns with scheduling we can mesh it out. I can take your dogs on walks or just keep them in a yard if that makes you more comfortable. I can feed you dogs as often as you’d like and I can distribute their meds aswell. I can teach your dog some general obedience but only if directed to, as everyone wants there dog to behave the way they want them too.

About: I grew up around dogs and have always loved them! I fostered and adopted my dog Holly a little over a year ago. Since then, I’ve come to learn that all dogs deserve patience and extra love! I work from 7am to 4pm Monday through Friday, but I take an hour lunch and would have time to pop in and check on your pets throughout the day! I have a fenced in yard so she can roam around wherever. She gets fed once in the morning and once at night, but she has a chicken allergy so I’m picky with her food.

About: I have grown up with cats and dogs since I was a little girl. I have always had kitties and I have had 3 dogs in my life! One of my kitties lived until she was 19 years old, so I am very well versed in taking care of senior pets. I love getting to meet new animals and getting to know them while getting to be their safety when their family is away! I am currently in the accelerated nursing program at NDSU, I have class every Tuesday and Wednesday from 9am-12pm, so I am available for pet sitting after 12pm on those days. I have clinical every Thursday from 5am-2pm, and will be available after. Every Monday and Friday are free for the most part and the weekends are also free for the most part! I always make sure to get familiar with the layout of the house that I an pet sitting at to make sure I am fully aware of where pets will go and where they could potentially be hiding. I also make sure to go outside when I am dog sitting to observe the dogs and make sure they are okay while their parents are away!

About: There has always been at least one dog in my family since before I was born. I am now 21 years old, and I have 3 dogs of my own. I have been walking and dog sitting for just over a year now, and I absolutely love it. I even hope to one day open my own walking/boarding/daycare company for dogs. But that probably won’t happen for a while, so for now I’m just trying to rack up as many practice hours as I possibly can, and learn about dogs as much as possible. There is something new to learn with every walk and every sitting job, and I would love to have the opportunity to learn about your dog and hang out with them!

Sara is great. She took the time to stop in for a pre-trip meeting just to make sure we went over everything. That made me feel so much better about leaving my little buddies for a few days. Sara's check in reports are very detailed. This is a huge help. I know how they are doing, I can address something early, if i have to, and I know what to expect when I get home. She takes extra care with my cats and makes sure that they are not just fed but that they get attention and affection. They love her! I have a very energetic kitty and she handles him so well. He is a handful on the best days and she makes sure he's got the attention and exercise he needs. Just a great person and a great sitter. :)

Rose did an amazing job taking care of my cats over Christmas. She went above and beyond by bringing them Christmas presents (cat toys) - so thoughtful! Communication was excellent; she sent prompt, detailed updates with photos at every check-in. Even though my cats are usually shy with new people, they warmed up to her quickly and clearly enjoyed her company. I plan to book with her again in the future and highly recommend her! 🐾🎄

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Bismarck stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
