“We were so happy to have Patricia care for Tsuki and Cosmo while we were away for the week. It was clear from the start that she is an animal lover and provided very high quality care. She sent daily updates about how they were doing, as well as multiple photos everyday of her visits with them. You could tell that the cats looked forward to each of her visits. We will certainly reach out to Patricia for our future cat sitting needs!”

“Marissa is awesome! She kept me updated on our pups and was very communicative! There was storms and our boy hates them and he was so content with her and that makes me feel so much as ease! She even went above and beyond and gave us updates on any storm damage and we appreciate that’s sooo much! Can’t wait to have Marissa come back!”

“Keisha loved her time with Stephanie- we were gone during the coldest days of the year but they still played outside! She sent pictures everyday. I highly recommend stephanie!”

“As always, our pups were well taken care of! It takes stress off to get the good updates on how they are doing, and she always gives them lots of attention that they love. Thanks!!”

“Morgan was awesome! She was very detail oriented and consistently communicated with me during the visits. I would recommend her to everyone who is looking for a reliable sitter. She’s a rockstar!”

About: Bilingual. When I was born, my family already had a German Shepherd who was with us until 2005. Since then, I’ve cared for dogs, cats, birds, turtles, and even chickens, learning how to adapt to pets of all ages and personalities. Had my first dog of my own in 5th grade and stayed with me until 2021, and along the way I also raised cats, rescued a turtle, and cared for both a parrot and a parakeet. I recently moved to Bismarck and, while I haven’t had my own pets this past year, I’ve been dog-sitting my relatives’ pups and dogs. Spending time with them reminded me how much joy animals bring and inspired me to help other pet parents feel confident knowing their furry friends are safe, loved, and well cared for. Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little bit about me. I look forward to meeting with you and your beloved family member. Will gladly provide picture updates of your furry friend. Currently work from home and can have some flexibility during lunch time with a 2day notice in advance. Preferably from 11:30/noon fwd. Free in the afternoon on weekdays & free most weekends. I am active and enjoy exercise and enjoy taking dogs on walks or short/slow jogs. Will take pictures of activities I do with your pet and would love to share them with you. Bilingual. I have a ~1/2 acre lot a fenced in backyard, corner house in a nice neighborhood. Have walking trails near our house. Multiple pet friendly neighbors and surroundings.
“Debbie was great with my shih tzu. I loved the pictures and updates I got of him while I was away at work. I was happy to know he was in good hands. I’ll definitely be using her services again.”

About: As a dedicated owner of both dogs and cats, I bring practical, real-world experience to pet sitting. I understand firsthand the daily dedication it takes to care for both species. My personal pet experience includes successful behavior training—like housebreaking and sidewalk manners for walks—as well as managing daily health routines, including administering medications twice a day using pill pockets. I treat my clients' pets with the exact same standard of care, whether that means keeping your dog on their bathroom routine, ensuring safe walks, or handling your cat’s unique daily needs and medications. Because I run my own business from home, my schedule is incredibly flexible. This allows me to easily structure my days around your cat’s specific routine. Whether they need a midday check-in, precisely timed medication, or just some extra companionship and playtime during the day, my flexible work-from-home lifestyle means I can be there exactly when they need me most. When caring for your cat in your home, my top priorities are safety, consistency, and respect for your space. During each visit, I ensure all basic needs are met—fresh food, clean water, and a meticulously scooped litter box. I also love accommodating their unique quirks, whether that means engaging in their favorite playtime routine or turning on the kitchen sink for a fresh drink! I am highly observant and strictly follow all household rules to ensure your home stays secure and your cat stays happy
“Sara was amazing with our 2 dogs and cat. They were skiddish for her first stop, but warmed up quickly. She sent pictures of each animal after every drop-in. It was fun to see them while we were on vacation.”

About: I am a dog mom/human mom :) I thrive on being both. I have experience both professionally and personally with dogs and cats. I can even handle a hamster or two! If you have multiple pets in your home, I will not charge more. I have experience giving insulin shots as well as oral medication if need be. I know how important having a trusted pet sitter is and I love providing that service to people. When I am with your pet, I treat them as my own. And trust me, mine is a very spoiled girl! Please contact me with any questions, I would love to walk you through the process and put your mind at ease!
About: I love the outdoors and playing with dogs when i can! I am very clean and respectful person and would provide nothing but quality care for your animals. I would love to have dogs in my life, but am not ready for the full time commitment of having one of my own. Running, hiking, walking will all be part of the deal when I can. I am a full time student at NDSU Nursing through Sanford, and would love to make your dogs part of my free time! I was raised around many dog breeds ranging from Siberian Husky, Pit Bulls to little shih tzus! I am comfortable with any and all dog breeds and would love to meet all of your fur babies! I'm currently in nursing school - and I love to get out and enjoy the outdoors as I can and when the weather allows. With my schedule it would be hard to have an animal of my own but I would love to hang with your fur babies in the mean time. Unfortunately I don't have a private yard or anything for animals - and the best option would be to host your animals at your home in the comfort of their own space!

“Jacob was wonderful! He came over a few days before our trip to meet the pups and they instantly loved him. Jacob sent us daily updates and photos. We will definitely be using Jacob in the future!”

Sara was wonderful with my cats. I have a new addition to the crew and she was awesome about helping him do well during the first time I was away from him. They have a complicated feeding routine, and Sara took notes and then took great care of them. She sat with them and kept them company which they loved.

Rose did an amazing job taking care of my cats over Christmas. She went above and beyond by bringing them Christmas presents (cat toys) - so thoughtful! Communication was excellent; she sent prompt, detailed updates with photos at every check-in. Even though my cats are usually shy with new people, they warmed up to her quickly and clearly enjoyed her company. I plan to book with her again in the future and highly recommend her! 🐾🎄

We couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter! Shai was incredibly caring, thoughtful, and sweet with our senior cat, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She took the time to make sure Ella was comfortable, well cared for, and loved, and it truly showed. Her updates were reassuring, and it was clear she genuinely cares about the animals she looks after. We would happily book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone—especially those with senior pets!

Cats did fine under her care. One of my cats didn’t interact with her at all, which is her personality, she is shy around anyone but me. The other cat warmed to her and would greet her at the door. I couldn’t give five stars because the litter box was disgusting when I got home. The ammonia smell was immense and as tired as I was from my trip, I had to change it immediately. I will give better instructions for that next time.

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
