About: Bilingual. When I was born, my family already had a German Shepherd who was with us until 2005. Since then, I’ve cared for dogs, cats, birds, turtles, and even chickens, learning how to adapt to pets of all ages and personalities. Had my first dog of my own in 5th grade and stayed with me until 2021, and along the way I also raised cats, rescued a turtle, and cared for both a parrot and a parakeet. About: Hello, I'm Michaela! Ever since I was a child, I have had either a cat or a dog, whom I was responsible for feeding, walking, and cleaning up after. Needless to say I am a total Animal Lover. We live a fairly active lifestyle so if your pet needs to move, I'll tire them out before you pick them up. 3 of our favorite places to walk are the nature trail at McDowell Dam, the trails near Fort Lincoln - past Mandan, and the river trail behind Sertoma Park. If your dog is a social butterfly, I also enjoy going to the dog park. Anytime I care for any animal, I approach them with compassion and empathy. I would love to have dogs in my life, but am not ready for the full time commitment of having one of my own. Running, hiking, walking will all be part of the deal when I can. I was raised around many dog breeds ranging from Siberian Husky, Pit Bulls to little shih tzus! I am comfortable with any and all dog breeds and would love to meet all of your fur babies!
