About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 10. I’ve had farm animals. I’ve bottle raised animals. I’ve taken care of kittens and bottle fed them. I am a dog lover and passionate for animals. I have a fenced in yard. I’m home all day. I am currently not employed and have more time on my hands for Dog Sitting. I’m a part-time substitute Teacher. I am reliable and will do my best to accommodate pet owners than need pet sitting. I have a fenced in yard with two friendly dogs that are best friends. I will also go to clients homes and walk their dogs and feed them. I do not do overnight dog or cat sitting at another home.

Lisette truly saved our vacation! We found ourselves in a tough spot when our sweet elderly dog became too anxious to stay alone in our rental. With almost no notice, Lisette stepped in with warmth and calm reassurance, welcoming our pup like family. She was patient, gentle, and incredibly attentive — sending us updates that let us relax and enjoy our trip knowing our girl was safe and loved. It’s rare to meet someone so caring and trustworthy at the last minute, but Lisette exceeded every expectation. We’re beyond grateful for her kindness and the peace of mind she gave us. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter who genuinely loves and understands dogs!

Kate and her family cared for our two dogs while we went Whitewater rafting for the day. We were traveling with our whole family, and it was nice to know they were cared for while we enjoyed a little fun on our vacation. We were fortunate to find Kate on Rover while we were visiting the Jackson area.

We were camping on vacation in the keys with our sweet dog , Shelby. We are protective dog parents and don’t like leaving her with people we don't know but we had a couple of day trips (golf and shopping) planned that would not be fun for Shelby so we asked our camp office if they knew of a reliable dog sitter in the area and they recommended we use Rover. We put in our information and low and behold we found a great sitter, Julie, and she was close by. Score! 👍🏼😀 She had a great rating, a daycare in her home and a couple of dogs of her own so we thought we would loosen the leash a little and give her a call. The first day Shelby was not to sure she wanted to stay without us but by the end of the day when we picked her up she was a happy dog and the second day she ran right up to Julie. We could tell she had a great day and she was exhausted (that was great for everyone.) We would highly recommend Julie for your dogs care. She sent us videos each day of Shelby’s activities and also kept tract of Shelby’s daily routine so we could easily keep her on track. We were so glad to find Julie and will call her again when we come back to the keys. Thank you Julie, you made our vacation fun for all of us. Love, Matt, Jean and Shelby🐕

About: I love dogs! I'll love on them, take them hiking, run with them, etc. I have been caring for dogs, mine and others, for over 15 years, from Jack Russels to Great Danes! This includes, long term and daily visits, helping train and giving medicines. I grew up with family pets and always had several of my own at one time. My own sweet dog is 15 years old and still going strong and I also have an adventurous little cat. Fun fact: They are both international travelers and have been to 6 other countries and traveled more than half of the United States and lived on a sailboat for over 5 years with me. I have open availability for visits and walks for dogs of all ages and sizes. I am great at training puppies and caring for seniors. I love to stay active and outdoors so taking your pups with me is a fun way to spend time doing just that!

About: I’ve taken care of many pups from walks, rehab, and overnight stays. My husband and I have always had a dog throughout childhood and adulthood so have extensive experience. We will treat your little one as our own! My husband and I both work from home so we will spend all day with your pup and we frequently go on walks so they’ll be getting steps in! Since we work from home and take calls for work we are not able to accommodate vocal dogs (ex. Excessive barking, whining, etc.) please keep this in mind prior to booking. We live in a C class rv at Leo’s Campground where there is a dog park on site and we do have a fenced in patio so plenty of outside and play time for your pup(s) 😁

Victoria was great! Our first time using Rover, and a V8ctoria set the bar high for our next visits. We have a 13yo senior and an 8mo doodle puppy, she handle both of their different needs graciously..the pup got extra walks. The senior got to hang out and enjoy the lovely fenced in backyard surroundings with Victoria's daughter. Victoria was outside waiting for us on our 6:30am arrival. I was very thankful since we are not familiar with the streets and parking rules in KW. Very responsive, sent text and pics throughout the day. Highly recommend Victoria when you are in Key West!

It’s not easy to leave your baby with a stranger. But the moment we met Sonja at a prearranged meet and greet location, she was a stranger no more. We could not have asked for a better experience. Biscuit was treated like family. Sonja sent us a collage of the highlights of Biscuit’s day with her new friends, Sonja’s own two pups and another guest. The best photo of all was Sonja and Biscuit on a pink flamingo float in her pool. Sonja is bubbly and pleasant, accommodating, and responsive. She obviously loves animals. You needn’t hesitate entrusting your precious pet(s) to her care. I only wish that she lived in Fort Myers so that Biscuit could visit with her regularly.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Big Pine Key on Rover is $32.1 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 36 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Big Pine Key. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Big Pine Key commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 36 sitters in Big Pine Key, 93% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
