I will also go to clients homes and walk their dogs and feed them. I do not do overnight dog or cat sitting at another home.

“Lisette truly saved our vacation! We found ourselves in a tough spot when our sweet elderly dog became too anxious to stay alone in our rental. With almost no notice, Lisette stepped in with warmth and calm reassurance, welcoming our pup like family. She was patient, gentle, and incredibly attentive — sending us updates that let us relax and enjoy our trip knowing our girl was safe and loved. It’s rare to meet someone so caring and trustworthy at the last minute, but Lisette exceeded every expectation. We’re beyond grateful for her kindness and the peace of mind she gave us. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter who genuinely loves and understands dogs!”

“Belinda was an absolute pleasure to meet! Our puppy was so happy and well taken care of. We received updates as necessary, she was very easy to coordinate pick up and drop off with and genuinely cares about the well-being of dogs! She was very kind and gave our pup her undivided attention.”

“Kate and her family cared for our two dogs while we went Whitewater rafting for the day. We were traveling with our whole family, and it was nice to know they were cared for while we enjoyed a little fun on our vacation. We were fortunate to find Kate on Rover while we were visiting the Jackson area.”

About: I love dogs! I'll love on them, take them hiking, run with them, etc. I have been caring for dogs, mine and others, for over 15 years, from Jack Russels to Great Danes! This includes, long term and daily visits, helping train and giving medicines. I grew up with family pets and always had several of my own at one time. My own sweet dog is 15 years old and still going strong and I also have an adventurous little cat. Fun fact: They are both international travelers and have been to 6 other countries and traveled more than half of the United States and lived on a sailboat for over 5 years with me. I have open availability for visits and walks for dogs of all ages and sizes. I am great at training puppies and caring for seniors. I love to stay active and outdoors so taking your pups with me is a fun way to spend time doing just that!
“Julie has a wonderful home and gave Guinness a fun day in the keys while we went fishing. He came home happy and tired. Will certainly trust Julie with my puppy anytime we are here!”

“Melissa was great, very patient, super friendly, the drop-off and pick-up was very easy since she waited for us outside, our Frida felt very comfortable with her, Melissa sent us photos and the communication with her was very clear and easy, thank you for taking care of our little princess Frida❤️”

About: I’ve raised, cared for, and loved dogs for my entire adult life. To me, dogs are family! I would love the opportunity to take care of your fur babies while you enjoy your time in Key West! I will love them as much as I love my own! I am currently taking a sabbatical from work and we have plenty of time to play with your pups! I’m available for boarding after 2pm. I have a fenced in yard and two friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company. I can easily crate your dog if needed or they can have free roam.
“Christina was great! We came to the keys on a last minute weekend getaway, and just needed someone to watch our sweet boy for the morning. I was having trouble finding a sitter until Christina came to the rescue! My dog loved her right away and she took great care of him!”

“Victoria was so great with my dog and super flexible with my schedule. She kept me updated throughout the day and sent photos as well. I will absolutely be using her services again.”

“Any is wonderful. When we are visiting key west our dog Rosie loves to go to Amy’s house, it’s a play date for her and gives us the opportunity to go out without the dog on occasion. Key west is very dog friendly but there are times when you want to do something without the dog in tow and Amy has made this a great experience for us and Rosie. Thanks Amy.”

About: I’ve taken care of many pups from walks, rehab, and overnight stays. My husband and I have always had a dog throughout childhood and adulthood so have extensive experience. We will treat your little one as our own! My husband and I both work from home so we will spend all day with your pup and we frequently go on walks so they’ll be getting steps in! Since we work from home and take calls for work we are not able to accommodate vocal dogs (ex. Excessive barking, whining, etc.) please keep this in mind prior to booking. We live in a C class rv at Leo’s Campground where there is a dog park on site and we do have a fenced in patio so plenty of outside and play time for your pup(s) 😁

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Big Pine Key commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
