I grew up with dogs from infancy, and my first dog was a German Shepherd named Pooch who joined our family when I was still a baby. We grew up together, and he remained my best friend until we were both 14, when he crossed the rainbow bridge. Dogs have been a huge part of my life ever since. At 12 years old, I started my own dog walking business and volunteered with local rescues before eventually founding my own nonprofit, Akira Animal Rescue, which focuses on medical dogs and puppies. Growing up, I also cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments — including a rescued street dog, a Pomeranian mix, and a Lhasa Apso. Having both large and small dogs throughout my life helped me understand different energy levels, personalities, and care needs from an early age. I also have extensive medical experience with dogs through both rescue work and personal experience. My senior dog Akira developed liver disease and seizures later in life, and I helped manage his care and medications until he peacefully crossed the rainbow bridge in 2024. Akira inspired my rescue work and deepened my understanding of anxious, reactive, and medically sensitive dogs. When I met him at 7 years old, he struggled with resource guarding and trust issues, but over time he transformed into a calm, loving dog who slept at our feet every night. In December 2023, we adopted two Siberian Husky littermates who are incredibly social, gentle, and loving with other dogs — especially smaller dogs. I also currently have two sweet foster dogs from my rescue who have been in my care long term. They are the only dogs from my rescue in my home — all others are with other fosters. I now provide full-time premium daycare and boarding from my private, 1 acre, gated home in Beverly Hills Post Office. I have another home in Hollywood Hills where I offer boarding at a lower cost, though dogs are not attended overnight there. I will bring boarding clients to this home during the day sometimes, with approval from the pet-parent. I previously operated exclusively through referrals and word-of-mouth and am now offering services through Rover. I’m extremely hands-on, attentive, and always present with the dogs in my care. I structure playgroups carefully and can separate dogs based on size, temperament, energy level, or owner preference. Don’t be surprised if your dog learns a new command or trick during their stay. Spending time with dogs and caring for them is truly my passion outside of running. Because I’m very active and hands-on, dogs in my care receive plenty of engagement, playtime, outdoor time, walks, and attention throughout the day. I love playing with them, running around outside with them, and taking walks on the trails in my neighborhood based on each dog’s energy level and needs. My rescue is foster-based, so most of my rescue work is coordinated virtually through fosters and volunteers, which allows me to maintain a consistent daily presence at home with the dogs. Every dog in my care is equipped with an AirTag for enhanced safety and real-time location protection while on property or during outings. I provide a calm, structured environment on a private, gated property with secure outdoor space and comfortable indoor areas for rest and relaxation. Dogs are supervised at all times and thoughtfully grouped based on size, temperament, and energy level. I also offer private or solo care for dogs who prefer a quieter setting.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was a little kiddo. Got my start taking care of the neighborhood dogs . I currently work with dogs on weekly basis . Providing a safe happy place for them to stay is a priority . As well as maintaining their day to day schedule . Like their feeding schedule , walks , administering any medications and more ! Dogs/Pets are my daily and weekly . I have extra time to offer another pup who may need a safe happy place to stay while their parents are away ! I have a private fenced front yard as well as a private secured fenced backyard. Pups are never left unattended . I have an amazing senior yellow Labrador named Fonzie who is great with all dogs . I work around the clock for any pup that is in my care , That is a priority ! It’s very important to me that each pup feels like it’s their home away from home !

About: I have had 3 years of experience pet sitting in New York City and recently moved to the LA area with my 4 year old mini goldendoodle! We are looking to take care of some new friends here on the West Coast. I also have 2 dog loving roommates that are excited to have more pups running around :) I am currently working from home so I have full availability. I am a dancer that trains in the evenings typically but I have 2 roommates so there is almost always someone home. I am a very active person and am new to the gorgeous LA weather so I am always down for a nice long walk. We take our time and I let the dogs really sniff. I also have a very active 4 year old mini goldendoodle that loves to play, has a great demeanor, and is well socialized. I let dogs on the couch so they will always be nice and cozy at my place!

About: Growing up in Chicago I've had dogs/cats my whole entire life. Moving to LA made it unavailable for me to have my own anymore. I can exercise with dogs. I do runyan canyon atleast 3 times a week. I work from home and enjoy getting out every two hours for 30 minutes and having a lil buddy to hang out with during the day while I work. I broke both of my legs last year in a pair of motorcycle accidents so I really have a new appreciation for walking haha. I'd say your dog and I are doing each other favors. Your pup is in good hands with me. I keep it simple and I'll do what you need me to do with your dog.

Our pup is a sweetheart that’s filled with an abundance of energy, but unfortunately gets separation anxiety when he doesn’t have a human friend with him. Stephen handled Vinny like an absolute champ! He made sure he was comfortable and felt safe, sent us lots of photos, and even took him on a couple walks. When we picked him up, he was so happy to be carried by his new friend and we could tell he had so much fun. As happy as he was, he was just as tired. I truly have never seen him so tired before. My Vinny has so much energy; more so than any puppy I’ve ever had. And somehow, some way, he was finally exhausted, came home, and took a nap the moment he found his favorite sploot spot. My own dog Brooklyn is friendly and welcoming, so any dog staying with me will have a built-in companion to help them feel right at home. For in-home visits at a client’s home, I follow the owner’s established routine as closely as possible, ensuring their dog feels comfortable and secure in their own familiar environment. I always make sure feeding schedules, walk times, and any special instructions are followed to the letter.
