“I would give a ten star review if I could. Fantastic family, so caring and compassionate towards animals, especially my old dog, Lady. She has never been left with a sitter before. When I checked around too many places offered to keep her in a crate but she has never been crated before so we did not want that. With this family she had the run of the house and yard and slept on their bed at night which she does at home. My only fear was that at the end of her stay she would not want to leave. But she was glad to come home and during my trip I had peace of mind and no worries that she was in good hands. Highly recommend this family to take care of your dog. I will when I travel again!”

During her stay, they sent lots of photos on her progress and interactions with other dogs, helping to give me peace of mind that all was fine. They demonstrated such kindness and understanding towards our little one, who shakes nervously in unfamiliar environments. They adapted to her shy-ish ways, let her be and gave her a comfy blanket on which to sit or lie. About: I have had 3 years of experience pet sitting in New York City and recently moved to the LA area with my 4 year old mini goldendoodle! We are looking to take care of some new friends here on the West Coast. I also have 2 dog loving roommates that are excited to have more pups running around :) I am currently working from home so I have full availability. About: Growing up in Chicago I've had dogs/cats my whole entire life. Moving to LA made it unavailable for me to have my own anymore. I can exercise with dogs. I do runyan canyon atleast 3 times a week. I work from home and enjoy getting out every two hours for 30 minutes and having a lil buddy to hang out with during the day while I work. I broke both of my legs last year in a pair of motorcycle accidents so I really have a new appreciation for walking haha. I'd say your dog and I are doing each other favors. I grew up with dogs from infancy, and my first dog was a German Shepherd named Pooch who joined our family when I was still a baby. We grew up together, and he remained my best friend until we were both 14, when he crossed the rainbow bridge. Dogs have been a huge part of my life ever since. At 12 years old, I started my own dog walking business and volunteered with local rescues before eventually founding my own nonprofit, Akira Animal Rescue, which focuses on medical dogs and puppies. Growing up, I also cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments — including a rescued street dog, a Pomeranian mix, and a Lhasa Apso. Having both large and small dogs throughout my life helped me understand different energy levels, personalities, and care needs from an early age. I also have extensive medical experience with dogs through both rescue work and personal experience. My senior dog Akira developed liver disease and seizures later in life, and I helped manage his care and medications until he peacefully crossed the rainbow bridge in 2024. Akira inspired my rescue work and deepened my understanding of anxious, reactive, and medically sensitive dogs. When I met him at 7 years old, he struggled with resource guarding and trust issues, but over time he transformed into a calm, loving dog who slept at our feet every night. In December 2023, we adopted two Siberian Husky littermates who are incredibly social, gentle, and loving with other dogs — especially smaller dogs. I also currently have two sweet foster dogs from my rescue who have been in my care long term. They are the only dogs from my rescue in my home — all others are with other fosters. About: I grew up around animals: cats, a dog, even two gerbils. I also pet-sat for my neighbor while I was in high school. I am lucky now to have a crazy lovebug orange kitty named Mr. Buttons. “Best boarding experience my pup has ever had! He’s not exactly the easiest boy to handle given how energetic he is, but after our initial meet and greet with Ashlee I had 0 concerns. She told me about the dog rescue organization she created so she definitely will give your pup the care and attention they need. She also took my dog on pack walks and long hikes around Runyon Canyon! She has so much space on her fenced off property and the sweetest dogs of her own that all played well with my pup and helped keep him busy! I genuinely believe he had a better time than I did while I was away. He came home cuddly and so tired so I know he had a blast! It's clear to me that Jack took care of Benny with genuine kindness. He sent me photos and videos of my Benny because he didn't just care for Benny, he showed up Benny's human. I have never felt more RELAXED about leaving my dog. I have taken my Benny to the so called, "best", plush, and massively expensive kennels in this city, and not been anywhere near this level of satisfaction. About: I have had 3 years of experience pet sitting in New York City and recently moved to the LA area with my 4 year old mini goldendoodle! We are looking to take care of some new friends here on the West Coast. I also have 2 dog loving roommates that are excited to have more pups running around :) I am currently working from home so I have full availability. I am a dancer that trains in the evenings typically but I have 2 roommates so there is almost always someone home. I am a very active person and am new to the gorgeous LA weather so I am always down for a nice long walk. We take our time and I let the dogs really sniff. I also have a very active 4 year old mini goldendoodle that loves to play, has a great demeanor, and is well socialized. I let dogs on the couch so they will always be nice and cozy at my place!

“Rod took great care of my dog! She only stayed with him for one evening, but he made sure that she had everything that she needed, gave her plenty of attention, and took her on a nice long walk. I was also grateful for the photos that he sent (two, even though my dog was only with him for a few hours!) and the detailed information that he offered when I picked my dog up (telling me about her eating, bathroom breaks, and napping). “Alina was an incredible sitter for my dog moose! he stayed with her over the july 4th holiday- moose is a rescue with some special needs, including fear of fireworks and other dogs. Alina treated moose with care and compassion, and she gave me honest updates if moose was struggling (without me needing to ask). it is such a relief to have found someone who seriously cares about moose and will go the extra mile to make sure he is cared for and that I know how he is doing!! I will definitely be hiring Alina again, and would recommend her to any dog owner, especially those who might need a little extra support.”
