Gabby is the BEST! We will definitely be repeat customers. We have a senior pup that we just rescued who has some "quirks". Gabby was so patient and amazing with her. Our big guy loved her and enjoyed the multiple walks and outside time she provided them. I typically ask my husband 20 times a day if he thinks the dogs are okay. By day 2, I didn't even think of asking. Definitely use Gabby, you won't regret it!

Kamryn was absolutely amazing. She took exceptional care of Lucky, and we truly can’t say enough good things about her. She kept us consistently updated and went above and beyond to make sure he was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Kamryn is truly a gem - both as a person and as a sitter. We would recommend her to anyone without hesitation.

About: I’ve taken care of my own cats and dogs since I was little. I played with them, walked the dogs when needed, fed them, cleaned out litters boxes or the yard. I’ve played with neighborhood pets too. I work at a hospital, nights. I work three days a week and my typical shift is 7pm to 7am. I get home, sleep for a couple hours, and then I get up. I can do pet care the moment I’m done with work or later in the afternoon. I have two cats personally. They are fed every morning when I wake up, and every evening my boyfriend comes to feed them while I go to work. They have dry food that they can graze on through the day, water bowls out in the kitchen, a clean litter box that is in my own room because that’s where they know. They go yearly to the vet for check ups and shots. And they are always given love.

Rosie was awesome. She came for a meet and greet and hung out long enough for the dogs to know her. My one dog even tried to nip her, and it didn’t scare her away! She sent updates daily, and I could tell that she was actually hanging out with them all day, opposed to some sitters I’ve had in the past. She was willing and able to give my older dog medication, and we came home to a bunch of happy animals! Will definitely use her in the future :)

About: My name is Sam, a recently retired Marine. I am also an avid animal lover. I have a rescued German Shepherd names Presley and have had four other rescues in the past. What your best friend will get from me is excellent care, affection, compassion, playfulness, and love. They deserve the best and that is what you will get from me. I am looking to be a full time pet care provider. Spending time with animals is my favorite thing to do other than spending time with family and friends. Your dog will be my focus and effort. I will only walk one dog at a time or play with one dog at a time. Your pet will have my full attention during his or her session.

This was our first time entrusting Patrick with our house and pups. We were quite confident in our decision when, during the meet and greet, Patrick inquired about our care routines in detail, which we hadn’t been asked before. Throughout our trip, Patrick kept us informed about our pups’ well-being by sending us pictures of their adventures. We appreciated receiving these updates as they allowed us to stay connected while we were away. We highly recommend Patrick for future dog-sitting needs and believe he would be a great fit for your requirements as well.

About: As someone who is always trying to live vicariously through dog owners (my parents were allergic), I have been a reliable and eager puppy and cat sitter since I was young - for friends, coworkers, neighbors, and extended family. I have experience and am comfortable feeding and exercising large and small dogs, puppies and seniors. I have always had cats, and have plenty of experience with administering oral medicines and asthma treatment. I am comfortable with cleaning messes, longterm stays, overnights, and honestly whatever else is needed during your time away. I would love to send pictures and updates of your pets as much as you would like them - your pets become main characters in my life within minutes of meeting them! I am your introverted, nurturing childless millennial that treats every animal with endless attention and love. As a speech-language pathologist, I also think that understanding animal communication and respecting boundaries are key. If your pet is showing me they need space, I will listen to them and make sure they are well fed, their needs are met and a soft presence is near. If they are showing me that they need more love and attention, I will stay and give them more love and attention! I can’t wait to meet your furry family. Right now, my schedule is wonderfully flexible. I’m a teacher on summer break and transitioning into a teletherapy position, so I have plenty of availability to care for your pets throughout the day. I believe pets are happiest when their routines stay as consistent as possible, so I make it a priority to learn each pet’s normal schedule, preferences, personality, and needs before their owner leaves. In a client’s home, I carefully follow feeding schedules, refresh water, clean litter boxes and outdoor areas as needed, administer medications when required, and make sure pets receive the exercise, enrichment, affection, and companionship they have when you’re home. I pay close attention to body language, behavior changes, appetite, energy levels, and overall well-being. As a speech-language pathologist, communication is a big part of my professional life, and I bring that same attentiveness to the animals in my care. I believe good pet care means respecting boundaries, recognizing needs, and responding appropriately to what an animal is communicating. I also love sending photos and updates, because I know how reassuring it is to see your pet happy and comfortable while you’re away. My goal is always to provide a safe, calm, loving environment and to care for your pets the same way I would hope someone would care for my own.

Elaine was fantastic. She not only managed to watch our house and pup, Mina, on short notice, but it was also during a holiday weekend. She was a fantastic communicator from the jump, asking a bunch of questions about Mina's habits, likes/dislikes, etc. I especially appreciated her open-communication when she had to manage a family emergency. She assured me that Mina was going to be taken care of and kept me updated along the way. I would highly recommend Elaine, and I (and Mina) are looking forward to booking her again.

We couldn’t be more thrilled with the care Theta provided for our beloved 10-year-old Vizsla, Scout, while we were away! From the moment we met Theta, it was clear they had a natural connection with animals and a genuine love for what they do. Scout can be a bit particular in his older age, but Theta handled him with such patience, kindness, and expertise that we came home to a happy, relaxed pup. Not only did Theta keep Scout’s routine consistent, but they also went above and beyond to make sure he felt loved and comfortable. We received regular updates, including photos of Scout enjoying his walks, snuggles, and even some playtime, which gave us such peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that Scout was in the best hands. On top of that, Theta took excellent care of our home. We returned to a spotless house, and it was as if we had never left. It’s such a relief to know that both Scout and our home were so well cared for. We can’t recommend Theta enough! If you’re looking for someone who will treat your pet like their own and provide top-notch care of your home, look no further. Thank you, Theta, for being such a wonderful and trustworthy sitter. Scout already misses you!

Sydney was so lovely! She was great with Tallulah and gave us updates and sent photos throughout our Christmas trip. She was extremely professional and let us know when our dog tore up some soft toys overnight, and even cleaned it all up for us! Tallulah is a bit of a princess and doesn't like going potty in the rain to the extent of faking a pee to get back inside... Sydney saw right through the trick and made sure she went potty. We will definitely hire Sydney again! Thanks for everything!

Nancy did an excellent job of caring for our 17 year old kitty for a week at our home. I am so impressed with her dedication in learning to give him his liquid oral medication twice a day. She is attentive to detail about everything that needed to be done at home while we were away. When we returned, our dear kitty seemed as happy as if we had only been gone overnight. She also looked after our turtle who we've had for over 30 years. I can't recommend her highly enough!

FAQs for House Sitting - Bethel Park

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Bethel Park on Rover is $89.13 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 1,473 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Bethel Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bethel Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bethel Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bethel Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bethel Park. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 91% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
