“Gabbi was AMAZING! She really seemed to care for my pets and did a great job of keeping my home clean and tidy. I would 100% trust her again with my cat and dog!”

“It was our first time using Rover and we had a great experience! Ericka sent regular pics and updates. When we got home our dog was happy and content. When we’ve had to use something more like daycare in the past, he just gets really stressed and barely eats. We will be using rover again in the future for sure.”

“I had the pleasure of having Hannah stay at our home and spend time with our pup Olive. I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. Hannah took great care of Olive, sending me regular updates and photos of their time together. She picked up on Olive’s quirks in no time LOL! I would definitely recommend Hannah to others, we will be reaching out to her again!”

“Francesca was so sweet. She did an excellent job caring for Sarge, going above and beyond by taking him on extra long walks (which are his favorite!) and was great with communication/sending pictures and updates. She also left the house spotless!!”

About: My name is Sam, a recently retired Marine. I am also an avid animal lover. I have a rescued German Shepherd names Presley and have had four other rescues in the past. What your best friend will get from me is excellent care, affection, compassion, playfulness, and love. They deserve the best and that is what you will get from me. I am looking to be a full time pet care provider. Spending time with animals is my favorite thing to do other than spending time with family and friends. Your dog will be my focus and effort. I will only walk one dog at a time or play with one dog at a time. Your pet will have my full attention during his or her session.
About: I’ve been around animals my whole life but my first job years ago in high school was at a veterinary hospital/ boarding. Because I was still in high school I was mainly in the kennels taking care of all the wonderful fur babies while their parents were out of town. Also, after informing the doctors that I was aspiring to become a vet, they allowed me to put on some scrubs and help out occasionally. I quickly realized that I was going to find a different way to care for animals 😂 Since then I have raised my own dogs and cared for animals of friends and family and have worked a few jobs at doggie daycares. I am an early riser because of my job so if your fur baby is too, they will fit right in! I work construction so I will be out for a portion of the day, but my wife works from home so her and our two pups will always be there to keep your baby company and make them feel right at home! At my house, no where is off limits for a furry friend. We can do anything to accommodate your fur babies to make sure they’re comfortable with their stay and you can have peace of mind that they will be happy and safe while you are away!
“Evan was great! Very good with handling Delilah and providing updates on her as well as not being afraid to ask clairfying questions for things I forgot to mention in her care plan”

“Shyann was wonderful and patient with my skeptical rescue dog. She was communicative and sent pictures daily, which gave me peace of mind and allowed me to enjoy going out of town for a concert. I’m definitely rebooking her again.”

“Wonderful experience with Ava! She's a terrific and reliable house sitter, and took great care of our kiddos while we were away. You can tell from meeting her that she's got a huge heart. She's already lined up for the next time we go away.”

“Kristy staying 7-8 hours on 04/13,she was very attentive to snowball's needs in going out to go to the bathroom, she took her to the park which she absolutely loves and snowball very much enjoyed the time with her..giving her a bunch of kisses and hugs...just loved her..”
About: My love and passion for animals of all shapes and size has been visible from a young age. I will be attending Vet Tech Institute this summer, so I promise that your fur-baby will be my #1 priority! I will treat not only you, but your furry friend with the upmost compassion and respect! I promise not to disappoint! 🐾 Even in attendance at Vet Tech Institute, I will never have enough animal time! This will allow me to focus on my school work, but also give some love to your pets! My fur-babies are what you call... SPOILED! They will be given the absolute best treatment followed by plenty of love and treats! I respect the boundaries of any client, whether it be your pet's or your own! I promise to do my best to make you feel worry free while your furry friend is in my care! I am currently in between jobs, so I have all of the time in the world to love and care for your pups! I accept same day appointments! 🐾 Unfortunately, I live in an apartment that doesn't allow pets. When I am in your home, I will treat your property, but most importantly, your dog with the absolute most respect. I will tend and cater to your pup's needs as directed and needed. I will treat your furry-friend as if they were my own and continuously spoil them during our time together!
“Victoria watched our giant dog, Bear, when my husband and I took an overnight trip to Temecula. She took amazing care of him, and even stayed longer to clean up after him when he had a bout of diarrhea in the middle of the night. Overall, she’s a really pleasant and responsible dogsitter, and I would definitely hire her again.”
“Patrick did an outstanding job caring for our dog and home. He was attentive, responsible, and kept us well-informed with great communication throughout. Our dog was clearly well cared for, and we returned to a spotless house. We would not hesitate to book him again and highly recommend him to others.”

“Kamryn was absolutely amazing. She took exceptional care of Lucky, and we truly can’t say enough good things about her. She kept us consistently updated and went above and beyond to make sure he was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Kamryn is truly a gem - both as a person and as a sitter. We would recommend her to anyone without hesitation.”

“Lindsay was tremendous. This was our first time using Rover and we couldn't have asked for a better result. Lyndsay was very responsive and flexible with us. She struck up a great relationship with our dog (great pyrenes) Jasmine right away and kept us in the loop everyday. We felt completely at ease with Lindsay and Jasmine loved her. We will definitely be using her services again and I would highly recommend her for any of your pet sitting or care needs.”

“Sydney was great with our husky and pug! Our pug is diabetic, blind and elderly and Sydney was fine with giving her insulin. They were both well cared for. We will definitely seek out her services when we need a sitter in the future!”

“Alexis is fantastic. Our house is kept perfect and our dog is always well taken care of. I love getting updates and pictures when we are away. I highly recommend Alexis for care of your pets.”

“Bea did an exceptional job housesitting and taking care of our pups while we were on vacation! She was kind, dependable, and communicative. We felt a sense of relief knowing that our dogs could be comfortable in their normal home environment and well-cared for while we were away.”

Amazing! We would definitely book with her again. She was awesome, kind, and responsible. The dogs loved her, and she took great care of them while staying in our home. We completely trust her to stay in our house and care for our dogs while we’re on vacation. We are so grateful for the excellent care she provided to both our home and our two dogs.

Hilary is a fantastic house sitter. She did a great job caring for our 15 year old doodle Duncan and our reclusive kitty Misty. After a 4 day trip, we came to find our house cleaner than when we left! She is dependable, knowledgeable and sent daily updates. We will definitely ask Hillary again to sit for us if we are ever in need. Highly recommended!

Kristie did an awesome job watching my two dogs while I was on vacation. This was the first time anyone but a family member watched my dogs. They take a while to warm up to people that they don't know but Kristie was very patient and won them over. She kept me up to date with text messages and photos. I will definitely use Kristie again in the future.
Meredith did a fantastic job house sitting our 2 dogs while we were away for vacation. Her communication was excellent and the dogs loved her. We were nervous to leave with one dog having stomach issues and needs daily medication but she had no difficulty navigating these issues. Meredith is responsible and dependable and trustworthy.

Bea did a great job watching my home and caring for my two pups. One was a 60 pound puppy that was definitely very feisty and mischievous. She took great care and keeping them busy and walking them as well as sending me photos and keeping me updated. I highly recommend her for pet care or house sitting.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bryn Mawr walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bryn Mawr maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bryn Mawr choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
