“We have just recently moved to Ocean Pines, MD. So we have few contacts as yet. We needed a dogsitter to keep our Maltese/Yorkie mix (aka "Morkie") Finley for a month while we will be in Europe this summer. It's the longest we have been away from him, and we needed to find dogsitters we trusted. We found Bill and Margit on Rover and decided to try them for an overnight with our dog. It went exceedingly well. They sent photos of Finley relaxing on the sofa and bed, and getting along great with them and their other dogs. When we picked him up the next day, he was happy to see us but appeared calm and carefree. We knew we had found our dogsitters. Bill and Margit are wonderful, caring people who treat your dog like their own. What more can one ask?”

About: I currently have a cat and a golden retriever and would love to help you take care of your dog while you are in need. I work from home Monday through Friday so my schedule allows me to be very flexible for potty breaks and general playtime while I'm taking care of your best friend. We have over 3/4 of an acre of property and are also located in the heart of Berlin...So a walk or outside playtime is no problem.

About: I cat and dog sit for my family members regularly. I have cared for dogs of all sizes and breeds. I’ve been riding horses since I was 10 and started working on the farm when I was 12. I am available wherever, whenever. Whenever you need me there, I’ll be there. I will figure out a way for your animal to have top tier care. I would care for my clients home just as I would care for mine. I would never want anyone to disrespect my home therefore I would never disrespect anyone else’s.
“Kate was wonderful and Mr. Peanut settled in quite quickly with her AND her two own dogs. Peanut is very picky at who he likes and doesn't like. But he got along with the pack and as a doggie mom, that made me feel good. I will definitely use Kate again. As far as the Rover website, there looks to be some logistical issues. On my screen, it told me Kate was 82miles away, but a 30min drive. Please get that fixed. Rover for me was hard to use. I like simple. But Rover has all these twists and turns. For example, I was not allowed to just message sitters. I was forced to pick dates. I had been looking for a new babysitter for Mr. Peanut since we just moved, but Rover made me wait til I needed someone asap, which made my experience stressful. Not good. We should be able to meet and talk to these folks before we book. After all, we are parents, and we all should be allowed to interview these sitters much like we would if they were our human children. Thankfully Kate worked out. But it could have gone a lot smoother. Thanks Kate (and daughter!)”

Alexis was absolutely amazing, I wish I had more words to describe how wonderful she was with our girl. Alexis watched our Lacey (a small chi mix with medical complications for a full week+ over Christmas... She sent multiple pictures every day, updates, put up with her tiny bladder messing up her door mat. She even brought our girl to her family celebration, she sent a picture of Lacey cuddled up in her Dad's lap even. She absolutely treated our little doggie as a cherished family member. We will absolutely be booking again this summer vacation and all the next Christmasses she is available. I really can't sing her praises enough, our Lacey has been boarded over Christmas for 5 years now, and while most experiences have been good, Alexis was outstanding.
