About: What sets me apart is that I’ve been caring for both cats and dogs my entire life. I grew up with both and now have my own 10-year-old cat, Winston, so I understand routines, body language, and the importance of calm, consistent care. I treat every pet like my own and focus on keeping them comfortable and stress-free. Since I work from home, I’m available for early morning visits and lunchtime drop-ins, making sure your pets get reliable care and companionship when you’re away. I provide pet care exclusively in your home, so your pets can stay comfortable in their familiar surroundings. This allows them to stick to their usual routines, feel safe, and reduce stress while you’re away. I do not offer care in my own home, focusing entirely on making your pets’ environment calm and reassuring. My goal is to provide consistent, dependable care where your pets feel happiest and most relaxed.

My mom has fostered lots of dogs within the past 14 years and so that’s left me with lots of experience! I love puppies and senior doggies and will give them all the love and pets and ensure they are in good hands! I am currently job searching so I am available anytime! ❤️ If you choose me I will 1000% will give them all the love and boops on the nose! I can accommodate to anything and work with anything right now! Currently I am not able to have any of your fur babies in my home but in the future this can be considered possibly! I do have a fenced in yard

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was a young teenager. They give unconditional love and are so happy that they make you happy. I have two of my own and would have more if I could. I regularly run with them, play ball, play tug of war and even swim with them in the ocean when I can make it there. I give baths and clip nails. I am very good at continuing training with dogs with simple commands like "stay", "wait", "sit", "lay" And i also train using hand gestures. Dogs are a huge part of my life and i don't know know I would do without mine. So let me continue my journey on giving dogs the best life they can get. Let me love your doggies too!!

“Melissa and Jordan are the absolute best! My dog was totally spoiled and in such great care. They gave constant updates, took him on a ton of walks / trips to the park, and even made a collage of the photos they took of him. Also my apartment was cleaner than I left it when they stayed here. Cannot recommend them enough!”

“Isabella was so kind to come babysit our pug in the middle of a flood. She stayed and hung out with him so he wasn’t lonely while we were at a wedding and when we got home he was ready for bed they had such fun together.”

“Alison was a perfect choice for the care of our dogs while we were away. We knew from the first time she met our dogs everything was going to be great. Thank You Alison!”

“I wish I could give Yasmine a million stars! She is so attentive. When one of our dogs was having tummy issues, she offered to make her a plain meal to help. She is so responsive and sends so many pictures and updates. We were so nervous leaving our babies but she is a pro. 100% recommend her and we will be using her again in the future!”

About: I have taken care of animals of all kinds for my whole life living on our 50 acre family farm. We have horses, pigs, cows, dogs, cats, reptiles and fish! I take care of all of them and provide them with a loving and enriched environment. I can’t wait to meet your best friends, or have them for a visit! Pet care is my greatest passion and second job at home. I spend my mornings out in the fields with my horses and cows pitching hay, mucking stalls, and cuddling in the grass. I spend my evenings snuggled up with my 3 hound dogs on couch or landscaping my reptile and fish tanks for fun. I am open to the needs of all pets as I know people do things in their own way. I will carefully follow the instructions left by the client.
About: I grew up with dogs & cats. Additionally, I have dog/cat/house sat many times for multiple people over the past few years. I am very trustworthy and follow the rules of the owner to a T. I love animals and am looking for a way to make money for college while I help make owners lives easier while taking great care of their furry family members! I live at OCMD during the summers to save money. I can walk/ take care of animals any time after 3pm everyday. Additionally, I am typically off Tuesdays and Thursdays to be able to help as well. Simply, how I take care of animals varys from person to person, however there are basic needs animals have that I follow. Some of these are attention(I give a lot), walks, etc. Other then that I follow exact rules owners give me from food time, to amount, to how many walks a day.
“Kim is an absolute delight. She enjoys pet sitting and our puppy loves her visits. At the very first meeting she sat on the floor with our pup and played with her. While we were away she shared pictures of our pup resting on her lap and updated us during her stay. Our puppy was well taken care of and we will definitely hire her again.”

“Alyssa was wonderful! She made sure my pets were well taken care of during my trip and sent a lot of photos and updates. She left my place in great condition and I felt good about leaving my pets in her care. I will be rebooking her for future care!”

“John was on time. He was very kind. He and our sweet Savannah bonded and has a great weekend. He completed walks and feedings. He assisted with her vitamin. We will plan to use him again and would highly recommend him.”

About: I have volunteered in the past with a rescue shelter and I loved walking and playing with the dogs. Since we are a virtual school family, my schedule is pretty open and flexible so your pet will get lots of attention and cuddles. I have cared for cats and fish most of my life. I am comfortable with grooming, providing special diets, giving oral medication and inhalers. If boarding, your dog must be gentle and friendly with kids and cats. I have a 4th grader and we recently adopted a kitten. They must be comfortable in an apartment setting with a busy hallway where barking is frowned upon. Cuties who like to be guard dogs might not enjoy staying here if frequent noise is activating. We are usually home most days due to virtual schooling, but occasionally have short outings and field trips. We continue to use pretty strict Covid precautions, like always wearing high-quality masks and running hepa air purifiers. I ask that my clients are respectful of this. I am very flexible and encourage last minute cancellations if any symptoms of illness pop up. Likewise, if we have symptoms or test positive for Covid/flu I will cancel the booking. Luckily, I have only had to do this two times in so many years and will always issue a full refund. We live in a very pet friendly area and are close to great dog parks. Our neighborhood is full of green spaces and sidewalks and the Rock Creek Park trail is directly behind our apartment. We will care for your dog like it is our own. I love taking photos and will send as many as you’d like and will provide updates and check-ins as often as preferred.

“Jacqueline was a life saver! She came and stayed with my lab when another rover sitter quit mid stay during a holiday weekend! Poppy and I are so thankful for her and he was very well cared for during her stay at my home.”

“Christine went over and above. She took such great care of my babies (dog Nina and cats Percy & Nixxi) and my house, leaving it better than she found it. I highly recommend her!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Berlin
Christine was a very good choice for taking care of our dog Carl in our home for two days. The “meet and greet” several days beforehand gave us confidence and Carl got to know her. All went well while we were gone. She kept very good communication with us, including pictures! She cleaned up very nicely before she left. We’ll use her again!

FAQs for House Sitting - Berlin
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Berlin on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 281 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Berlin. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Berlin walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Berlin maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Berlin choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Berlin. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
