About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve cared for all kinds of breeds, from tiny Chihuahuas to giant Newfoundlands, and have experience with puppies as young as 3 weeks old as well as senior dogs up to 14 years old. I’m comfortable with dogs of all temperaments, energy levels, and care needs. Whether your pup loves long walks, playtime, learning basic commands, or prefers a slower pace, I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and care. I take the time to properly understand each pet’s behavior, triggers, and comfort level before heading out, and I stay attentive to their surroundings at all times to ensure they are secure and well managed. I like to follow key safety precautions like using properly fitted leashes and harnesses, avoiding high-traffic or overstimulating areas when needed, checking gates and doors carefully, and always keeping a secure hold on pets when entering or exiting spaces. I also focus on building trust with each pet by moving at their pace, using calm and consistent body language, and allowing them to become comfortable with me before expecting too much interaction. I pay attention to their signals and respect their boundaries, which helps create a sense of safety and reliability. Over time, this helps pets feel more at ease with me, making walks and in home care smoother and more comfortable for them.

About: Hello! I'm Selena, a student at Skidmore college, doing research over the summer. Back home, I'm the owner of one dog as well as two cats, and I regularly dog sit for my friends and family members. My love of animals is well known and I'm always their go-to for pet sitting, as they know I'm always happy to do it. My current Bernedoodle has been with me since she was just a puppy, so I'm very aware of how much care and attention puppies need. I've also cared for dogs on the older side, and I'm open to dogs of all ages and sizes! Caring for pets is very important to me, so much so that when I do not have an animal to care for (i.e. when I'm alone at school), I become very sad. Growing up, taking care of animals every day was very important to me. I am unfortunately a college student living in on-campus housing, so I am unable to care for pets in my own space. However, I make sure pets are happy in my client's home and makes sure to keep the space maintained well!

About: I have been sitting for years and currently have two dogs of my own. Our older dog had ear cancer so I am familiar with how to care for sick dogs and how to give medicine and the treatments of such nature. I currently work during the work week so I am free most nights during the week do stop ins and then have much more open availability on the weekends! I am very attentive to the needs set out by the parents and make sure I am following instructions! I love taking the pets and walks as it’s good for both me and them! I would love to play and also can be down for a good cuddle as well.

About: I have had animals my whole life and I currently have two dogs and three cats. I’ve trained one of my current dogs and one of my previous dogs, giving me experience with basic training and routines. While home for the summer I live with a house full of pets, as well as having animals at school. About: I am a college sophomore on the pre-veterinary track. I have extensive animal experience, including, but not limited to, giving medications to special needs and elderly dogs. I have worked with animals with all different temperaments and am able to work with each one at the level that they are comfortable with. I won't just watch your pup. I will make sure that they are happy and exercised! I will maintain communication and provide regular updates to assure you and your family that your pets are doing great! I'm currently working full time, but I will still have lots of time around my work schedule to make sure that your pet is getting all the love and attention it deserves! When I care for pets in their own home, I keep everything as close to their normal routine as possible. This helps reduce stress and keeps them feeling secure. I always: - Follow your instructions carefully (feeding, walks, meds, etc.) - Keep your home tidy and clean up after pets - Provide companionship, cuddles, and playtime - Maintain their usual sleep, potty, and exercise habits - Bring in mail or water plants if needed - Send photos and updates so you know they’re doing great My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and happy while you're away.

About: I have worked professionally in a dog and cat boarding/day care facility; as well as watching and taking care of family and friends pets! I have owned dogs my whole life and currently have a two year old German Shepherd. Currently I am waiting for my classes to start this fall so I am available pretty much all day so I will never have to rush to get somewhere. I have a dog of my own and live in an apartment in a nice, walkable neighborhood. I walk my dog once or twice a day, and when it isn't too hot for him I take him on runs with me! We also go to parks with fields so he can run around and play fetch.

About: I have been caring for animals since I was a child. I started small with hamster and fish, eventually teaching myself to care for larger species through rigorous online teachings and experience. I work part time so that I can spend as much time working with and caring for animals as possible. Ideally taking care of at least 3 pets a day would be best case for me. I do not have the ability to care for pets in my home but I do have the knowledge and experience to crate fur babies when needed without causing them distress. I am familiar with getting animals of all domestic sizes into a state of calm for walks or sleep time or even cuddles after a long day of missing their folks.

About: I don’t just love animals, I have been around them since the day I was born. I have had cats, dogs, birds, and small rodents since I was born. I have taken care of these animals from a very young age and believe I have a natural understanding of pets and their behaviors! I currently work full time at a middle school in Albany where my hours are 8 AM to 3 PM. Otherwise, I am usually free and have more availability on weekends, during school breaks and over the summer. I currently am a cat mom and keep all of my cats indoors. When I owned dogs and other animals in the past, I make sure to tend to their unique needs whether that mean adhering to a medication regimen or putting them in their cage/crate as needed.

She even accommodated my ask for a family member to stop by mid-week to check in since I’ve never left my dogs for this long before.
