About: Growing up with a farming family, I always wanted a dog, but dogs were not allowed in the house as pets. So 4 hamsters, a chinchilla, and countless fish later, I decided to volunteer at my local shelter to be around dogs all day, and 3 years ago I finally adopted my first! She was a nervous wreck in the beginning, but with lots of love and patience, she's morphed into the neighborhood sweetheart. I look forward to extending that same love and patience to your furbabies as well! I currently freelance remotely so I'm home often with a flexible, yet ever-changing schedule. That said, I'm available for one-time or pre-scheduled recurring visits on weekdays. I live in a safe neighborhood with a dog park. However, I do not currently offer dog sitting in my home. But I am highly organized and clean, so I will treat your home with the same respect that I would my own. My car is also equipped with dog seat belts and blankets for trips to the park if requested.
“Rhea loves Lindsay already! She gets so excited when she arrives and she ensures that Rhea gets a good amount of play time outside which I really appreciate. Especially given her high energy. Very lucky to have her!”

About: I have had multiple pets my entire life including 2 dogs, a total of 5 guinea pigs, 2 bunnies and 6 cats. I have experience pet sitting for friends and neighbors for many years. I also worked at a petting farm for many years where I took care of ponies, goats, sheep and other farm animals. I work remotely so I am very flexible and can accommodate many different days, weird hours or quick adds or drops. I also have experience working with dogs that have been abused by previous owners and the complications that can come with that such as depression, reactivity, and health problems. I also have thoroughly enjoyed training my family's dogs (with positive reinforcement and a lot of patience!) and look forward to training my own someday. I can't wait to meet you and your pups! I’m currently a remote worker with lots of daytime flexibility, perfect for dropping in on pups, going for midday walks and giving overnight stays the attention they need! I live in downtown Belmont, a fantastic neighborhood filled with pet parents. When there is a pet in my home, I make sure that they have plenty of room to explore, rest and play. I personally allow pets on my furniture like the bed and couch but of course if you express that that is not allowed for your pet I will make sure they have sufficient rest space/equipment around the house. I check on the water frequently throughout the day and have a filtered water fountain for smaller dogs and cats. I happily follow any feeding guidelines a pet owner may have and do not give them other food or treats without express permission. I also have an XL and medium size crate as well as a puppy pen available if desired.

“She was incredible! My cats loved her, even my little girl cat who has never let anyone else pet her! She left my house perfect and everyone was happy when we got home. Extremely good communication, will definitely book again!!”

“Brianna is absolutely amazing! We had booked her weeks ago and 10 days before our trip, our sweet girl had a tragic accident that resulted in a rear leg amputation. I kept Brianna updated in the days after surgery and felt comfortable moving forward with our plans. She was very communicative with daily updates on Macy while we were gone, gave Macy extra snuggles and love, and took her cone off daily to give her a break from it. We’ll definitely be using her again!! 🐾 🩶”

“Jessie was great taking care of our cats while we were away. She kept them happy and fed and left us detailed updates on how they were doing along with photos. It gave us peace of mind while we were away, and we will definitely be calling on her again when we need a pet sitter!”

“Maren was kind enough to accept a last minute request. She is very friendly and attentive! She kept me updated throughout the day and Wrinkles seemed to enjoy her visits! I will definitely try to book with Maren again when I need it :)”

“Simone is tustworthy and punctual, and always very quick to respond to my messages and/or requests. My dog seems to love her too 😊 I’ll definitely be booking her again!”

“June is simply the BEST Doggo sitter we’ve ever had! Such thorough attention to detail and genuine care for our pup! Oh and an awesome photographer :) Highly reccomend! 💚🤟”
“A real life saver! She was able to check-in on my dogs with less than 12hrs of notice when something urgent came up taking me out of state and did a great job taking care of them and providing me with an update! I really appreciated her pictures and her level of communication”

“I am so happy I found Taylor! She did drop-in visits for a week while we were on vacation. She is an incredibly sweet young lady, and my two poodles love her! She is very responsive, prompt, and did everything I requested and more! I will definitely use her again! 🐾❤”

“Tiffany was the perfect choice! I had a last minute flight delay and she was available to drop in, care for my cats and make sure they were comfy and fed. Will definitely book her again!”

About: I have lived with 6 different cats and 3 different dogs in my life growing up. My mother was also a dog walker for years. “Sierra was so great with Dixie and an amazing pet sitter. She went above and beyond and followed all instructions. She was very attentive and flexible which I appreciated. I could tell Dixie enjoyed the time with her, especially after the walks! Would 10/10 book again and highly recommend to anyone needing a sitter.”

About: I've owned 3 dogs throughout the years and I've always petsat for friends and family since I was a young teenager. I am also a former employee of Happy Dog Daycare and Spa for 3 years. I have kept some clients from my time at Happy Dog and still petsit for them, my friends and family regularly. Typically every other week or a few times a month. I have a collection of dog toys and keep food and treats stocked in-home. If pet parents allow, I will let their dog play with my family's dogs, daily walks around the neighborhood or local parks and a comfortable environment. These also apply for house visits and any activity or request made by pet parents will be followed.

Jordan has taken care of our dog multiple times, and we couldn’t be happier with her! She is always reliable and dependable, which gives us real peace of mind when we’re away. She has such a good-natured, calm presence, and our dog absolutely loves when she comes over to visit. It’s clear that she genuinely cares, and that makes all the difference. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
