Milo had a great time staying with Kathleen for the weekend! This was Milos second stay and he seemed excited when we arrived. She kept me updated with lots of pictures and videos and Milo clearly had a great time. Thank you!

Josh was excellent with my fur baby and was great at sharing updates and pics. I felt good about leaving my Ollie with someone who truly cares about him. My doggo ran right to him on his second stay with Josh. That was a sign I knew he was happy with him. I have added Josh to my fav sitters.

Great boarder, super friendly and sweet with your fur pup. Adhered to feeding and medication schedules, and added extra doses of affection and attention for a fearful pup. Highly recommend this home

My dog Willow did great with Monica. Monica was very communicative during the booking process, sent a helpful reminder a few days before, and had a very calm energy when we dropped Willow off. Willow can be a bit anxious but she seemed great when we picked her up. I would definitely book with Monica again.

Brian and his family were amazing with my pup Sniper. In constant contact with us, sending us lots of pictures, and mostly very flexible schedule wise when we had to change our plans last minute. Will definitely be setting up more play dates for Sniper and Hanks, couldn’t be happier!!

Ansley is the absolute best! She made Bubba and I feel comfortable the minute we met her. She sent pictures and updates multiple times each day which was very reassuring. She walked him every day and he loved hanging out with her dog and the other guests! Thanks so much, you are our forever dog sitter!!

My geriatric pup was in excellent hands with Charlie. Charlie has a good feel for dogs and their behavior, and I would happily ask her to watch Lilly again.

Adam is the best companion and sitter for your dog you could ever imagine. Our dog Auggie spent 12 days in Adam’s home during our recent vacation and we could not be more grateful for the care, love and attention he paid to Auggie. Adam opened his entire home to our dog, got to know him and bonded with him super quickly; he took him regularly for long walks, dog parks, visits to his friends and other dogs, and shared daily with us countless pictures of their joyful activities. Thank you Adam, Auggie and you have bonded forever.

Our little old lady Lilly loves Frances! Frances goes at Lilly's speed, and gives updates or asks questions if anything is out of the ordinary. It's such a relief knowing our pup gets a relaxing vacation when we're out of town.

Brenda is awesome. I had so much anxiety leaving my pups behind but after a meet-and-greet that went amazingly I felt better. Her house is clean and tidy and her updates (with pictures!) let me know that my two dogs settled in quickly. 100% will choose her next time we need dog care!

I can honestly say that I've never seen someone as dedicated to their pet as Bill is. He takes Leo on several daily walks, trips to "dock dive" and to the dog park. He arranges playdates with other dogs so that Leo gets plenty of exercise and socialization. I would highly recommend Bill for keeping other dogs.

Victoria did a great job watching our baby Enzo. This was the first time we were ever away from him and it was a little nerve-racking. Victoria sent many photos and videos, it made being away from Enzo much easier! He is almost sad now to be home after spending time with Victoria and her pups. We would definitely book with Victoria again

Sadie really enjoyed her stay with Piper! Piper was very responsive and incredibly flexible with pick up and drop off (which was great because our flight was delayed coming home). Piper sent regular updates and lots of photos of our sweet girl! I definitely recommend Piper and would love for Sadie to stay with her again next time we travel :)

Why book Rover dog boarding in Pittsburgh?

Pittsburgh pet parents want to make sure their dogs are well taken care of when they're away, and that's where Rover comes in. Dog sitters in Pittsburgh will treat your pups like part of their family, and offer them all the comforts of home, unlike a kennel. If you're looking for dog boarding in Pittsburgh, try a Rover sitter who'll care your pup in their own home, offering plenty of one-on-one attention.

Why do dog owners love Pittsburgh?

Residents of The 'Burgh are treated daily to a city full of history, entertaining professional sports leagues, and cultural institutions. Home to educational institutions like Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh - plus cultural attractions including the Andy Warhol Museum - it's often ranked one of the country's most livable cities. So it's easy to see why dog owners love living in Pittsburgh. Plus, there are tons of dog-friendly green spaces and friendly Rover dog sitters and walkers throughout the city.

Which parks in Pittsburgh are good for dog walks?

Referred to as OLEAs, Pittsburgh has many Off-Leash Exercise Areas your dog to enjoy. Take Frick Park dog park on Squirrel Hill - it's a massive 644 acres for you and your dog to explore. There are separate fenced areas for running, lots of trails, and a swimming hole for dogs near Lower Tranquil Trail. Though not quite as large, Riverview Dog Park at Perry North is still a huge park to visit at 259 acres total, with two acres fenced off just for off-leash fun near the Allegheny Observatory. At Bernard Dog Run in Lawrenceville, you'll find a bustling half-acre park under the 40th Street Bridge. There are separate play areas for large and small dogs to keep pups safe and having fun with other dogs their own size. Dogs need to stay on leash at Point State Park, but that shouldn't stop you from spending a day walking its three main hiking trails. It's right downtown in the Golden Triangle, so you can't miss it!

What Pittsburgh neighborhoods are good for dog owners?

Pittsburgh has over 90 vibrant and unique neighborhoods, so deciding where to visit or even settle down can be a tough decision. From S&D Polish Deli to the Pennsylvania Macaroni Co., there are tons of interesting and eclectic shops and grocers in the Strip District, just east of downtown Pittsburgh. If you're looking for something a little more upscale, take your shopping over to the Shadyside area. You can get a dose of culture and intellectual discussion in Oakland, where you'll find the 53-story gothic building that houses the University of Pittsburgh's Cathedral of Learning. If you need a place to stay, check out the edgy, metroplication chic of the Ace Hotel or Indigo Hotel in the East Liberty neighborhood. Looking for a bite to eat? Head over to Pittsburgh's "Little Italy," Bloomfield. Take a bridge from downtown to discover North Shore and North Side, home to Heinz Field and PNC Park, and be sure to get a glimpse of the larger-than-life Mister Rogers' statue nearby. You can also take a nice stroll down the tree-lined streets of the charming Sewickley neighborhood, or catch an amazing view in Mt. Washington.
