About: I've had dogs and cats for as long as I can remember and have cared for pets through every stage of life, including senior animals. As a volunteer with the Animal Welfare League of Arlington in Virginia, I worked directly with shelter cats by cleaning kennels, providing food and fresh water, and monitoring their living spaces while being mindful not to cause unnecessary stress. This experience taught me how to respect each animal's comfort level, recognize different personalities, and provide calm, attentive care. I also volunteered with Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation, where I helped socialize animals and connect potential adopters with dogs that matched their lifestyle. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, independent, or needs extra patience, I will provide reliable, compassionate care and follow their routine closely so they feel safe and comfortable while you're away. Pet care has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. This summer, I am completing an internship in Avon with varying hours throughout the week, but I am fully available on Mondays and Tuesdays, which are my weekends. On most other days, I am available before work and in the evenings for walks, drop-in visits, and overnight care. Having cared for dogs and cats my entire life, I understand the importance of maintaining a pet's routine and helping them feel comfortable when their owner is away. Whether that means walks, playtime, feeding, drop-in visits, or overnight care, I'm happy to adapt to your pet's individual needs. My goal is to provide dependable, attentive care so your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, personality, and any special care instructions before providing care. Whether I'm visiting your home, taking your dog for a walk, or staying overnight, I'll ensure your pet receives attentive, reliable care. Through my volunteer experience caring for shelter cats, I've learned the importance of being patient, observant, and respectful of each animal's comfort level. I'll follow your instructions closely, provide regular updates and photos, and treat both your pet and your home with the same respect and care that I would my own.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats for most of my life. I enjoy sitting other people’s pets and playing with them. I have a heart for animals. I can’t wait to meet your pets! I am currently working part time. I still have plenty of time to love and play with your pets. We will have a blast and good quality time! I have a fenced in backyard that my two dogs and cat love to mess around in. I know what it takes to love and care for a pet. Your pet will be treated as my own!

About: I've been raised around dogs, cats, chickens, peacocks, goats and other fluffy beings. Although I'm from the country side, I've had my fair share of suburban pet care as well. I used to own a high energy catahoula/lab mix that I would take on walks everyday. I found that using a gentle leader was a huge help. Sometimes I feel like I connect more to animals than humans! I've done training in equestrian massage (which can transfer to dogs.) I have a special place in my heart for four-legged beings. I work as a massage therapist, but with the winter season over, I have more free time! I'm flexible and easy going. Spending my days with a pup would be a dream! I live in a dog friendly neighborhood, and right by a trail where I see dogs walking all the time. When I'm not walking them, we'll be chasing balls at the park! I believe every dog needs a place to get all their energy out, and move their bodies. I can ensure they will get proper exercise.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs majority of my life. Growing up I’be had 3 husky mix breeds all coming from animal shelters. I have always had the responsibility of taking them on walks, playing with them and feeding them. In high school I also volunteered at the animal shelter near me and took care of all the dogs and cats there. I recently also became a loving cat owner and just moved to the area. I hope to meet you and your furry friend soon. I recently moved to the Vail area and am working with Vail resorts. I will be working Monday- Saturday from 9am-6 with a day off during the week. I am open to doing dog walks, house checks, letting your dog out or caring for your cat before work, during my lunch break and at any hours after work and any days I have off. I am currently living in employee housing and at this time could not have other pets in my home due to the policies enforced. I am open to caring for your pet on your home, in whichever way makes you the comfortable.

About: I grew up on a small farm where I helped care for our dogs, cats, guinea pigs, chickens, ducks and rabbits. Now I have a rambunctious coonhound who always wants to head out for a walk and can play well after he should. I enjoy taking him out to dog parks, walks in open spaces and off leash time in the National Forest. I would love to help you with your pups walking needs. whether you have a high energy dogs that needs some trail running, or a dog that would prefer a more mundane city park I can accommodate either one and all dogs in between. I have a job that affords the ability to take a dog walk or stop over for a quick feeding at any time of day or night I only frequent parks and areas that are safe so me and your dog will be as well. I would only walk your dog by itself or with his siblings. Also I would not go to off-leash dog parks unless specifically requested.

About: I’ve lived and cared for animals since I was 8 years old, starting with dogs and rats, to even birds and cats! Im a huge animal lover and super patient with my fur babies. I’m working a part-time job about 4 days a week so I‘ve had a lot of free-time for doggie walks and pet sits! It is best to reach me by my phone number or through the app so we can figure out a time that works between us. I have an apartment in Avon Colorado with an outdoor area for walks and a balcony to rest on. It’s spacious inside for a large bed and toys as well!

About: Life is better with dogs and I often say we don’t deserve them! I’ve grown up with dogs and currently have 4 adorable miniature dachshunds. I wanted 2 more but my partner threw down the hammer on me saying no. I’ve used Rover in the past and had some really amazing experiences and one, not so great experience, so I understand the value in finding the right person to stay, play and take care of your loved ones. I’ve always valued my caretaker sending plenty of photos and videos while I’m away, so I always said if I did this for others, I would do the same! Trust and reliability are the most important things I’ve always looked for in having someone stay in my home with my pets while I’m away, and that’s what you get from me! I am currently retired and am fully available day and night! My partner and our 4 dogs stay at our house in Denver full time, and I stay at my house here in the Vail Valley, so there are no conflicts with my schedule. I would be the only person taking care of your pets! Pets are children. Always have been and always will be in my book. I love to play with, walk and snuggle them. I like to give them the same unconditional love they give us.

“Do not look any further. Stop. Hire Karen, now. We were in the Vail area for a week over Thanksgiving and Karen watched our two labs for 5 days and we could not be any happier!!! She was amazing. Our dogs were taken on multiple walks, hikes, and outings per day. They went sledding and shared videos of our puppy pulling the sled. We got multiple pictures, texts, and videos during the day to keep us posted and they were always walking, playing, or snuggly WITH Karen on the couch and good Lord it was cute!! She is an all-star and you couldn't ask for a better fur baby sitter. My kids wanted to give her five bajillioon stars, but it wasn't an option. She's the best!”
