About: I am a substitute teacher (gone 7:15am-2:45pm Monday-Friday) living on Hillside with my military hubby and two puppers, Oscar and Juniper. Oscar is a 11yr old, 55lb mutt (lab/border collie) and is a thriving, darling gentleman. Juniper is 2yrs old, a Goose Bay special rescue/mutt (55ish lbs as well but taller and lankier than Oscar). They are very well behaved and love company. Our big fenced in backyard allows for oodles of fresh air and freedom to run! They run off leash during hikes and walks, and we would prefer our guest puppers to be able to do so as well. We provide a structured, loving, healthy environment. Your pup, is our pup-part of the family, held to the same basic standards and spoiled with attention, belly and ear scratches, and couch cuddles. Breakfast and potty is usually 6:30/7am, and another potty run 7:30am by Paul (my hubby) before he goes to work. I am usually home at 2:45pm and let them out in the backyard. During the winter, I then head off for a 5km walk on the trails so we can wrap up by dark. If temperatures, weather, or errands alter that, we have reflective/glow collars and walk around our quiet neighbourhood. Supper is 5pm. Pups go in/out as needed (we have a bell on the door they jingle). We typically go to bed 10-11pm, and do a tactical potty run at that time. Walking: Walks are typically 5+km, on trails, off leash preferred since my dogs roam free. I drive a wilderness Subaru Outback so lots of trunk space for 3 med/large dogs or I can drop the seat backs as needed if I need to swing by for your pooch. I do not tolerate unsafe/bad/aggressive behaviour. I follow your directions as I trust you to know what your pet needs and take that seriously. For stays at my place, I have a large house with covered couches, 4 massive dog beds, fenced in backyard, large communal water bowl, two easygoing, friendly puppers, toys galore.

She was able to give our dog Kodiak his daily medication without issue. She was very friendly! Our dogs also came home clean and looking like they’d been brushed! I would book with her again.”

About: I am a lifelong dog owner who enjoys being around animals. I love to be outdoors hiking, biking, and camping. I have done some dog-sitting for a few families, but for now I am focusing on walks and house sitting. I do hope to add boarding at some point. I have a big, goofy and sweet Bernedoodle named Eiger that does a lot of outings with my, but he can stay home if your pup needs one-on-one time. My availability for the fall will be on weekends mostly, with availability in the afternoon/evenings or early morning during the week. This is my first try with Rover, so please bare with me as I figure out how this all works 😆 I’m a working mom so week days are busy, but mornings and evenings are possible with planning. Weekends I have flexibility this fall and would love to add some walks with your pup. I pride myself in being organized, professional, attentive, and caring. I will be open about how much time I can spend with your dog and will not take more clients than I can care for appropriately. I realize each dog has their own personalities and thus specific needs. I will work to build trust with you and dog.

About: Hi, my name is Ami. I’m 23 years old. I went to King Tech High School for Vet Assisting. I spend most of my time with animals and going on adventures. I have taken care of pets of all ages/sizes/shapes. I have experience with anxious dogs and senior dogs. I can also care for other types of animals (snakes, bunnies, etc) and I’m a very quick learner if there’s an oddball task you want to throw at me! I also have experience administering medications. I have a pretty open & consistent work schedule that is able to allow me to care for pets during my free time. I can usually work anything out. I make sure pets have an opportunity to go potty at least every 4-5 hrs. I like to give dogs a minimum of 30 min of exercise at least twice a day.

Before booking, we’ll discuss your pet’s routine, the care they need, and how my availability fits their usual schedule. I want your pet to feel comfortable and secure in my care. I’ll follow your instructions for feeding, walks, and daily routines, and take time to learn their preferences and boundaries. Before a stay, we’ll discuss any special needs, behavior concerns, and your pet’s comfort with being left alone. I’m happy to arrange a meet-and-greet so we can make sure it’s a good fit. You can expect photo updates and communication about how your pet is doing.

About: I have taken a vet assistance class and know how to tell if a pet needs help or not. I am good at connecting with animals aswell I love going out and going on adventures, and it would be good opportunities to take the pet out aswell to get fresh air and exercise. I make sure they have their bowls full with water and food, i take them out multiple times and walk around to a dog park near my house.

About: Growing up on a farm instilled a love of animals in me from a young age. I am a true animal lover and prefer the company of animals to many humans ; ) I have experience with most pets from dogs and cats to birds, livestock and horses. I have rescued countless strays, trained many puppies and kittens and the running joke in the family is “if there’s a stray in a five mile radius they end up at Carly’s door”. I work from home so I’m never far whether your pet loves to sit nearby and remain close to me throughout the day or just needs a quiet and restful space, I have them covered. I provide dog beds and cat beds and do my utmost to make your furry friend feel settled in their home away from home. I will soon have a fenced in yard for my cat-friendly dog and four bedrooms for cats if they need a peaceful retreat. I provide fresh, filtered water daily along with meals and of course routine walks/potty breaks/litter box cleaning. If toys are allowed we have plenty to go around!
