About: Hi! I’m Susie. I’ve always been an animal lover and know how much our pets mean to us. For years I’ve cared for my friends’ dogs whenever they traveled, and after realizing how much I enjoy it, I decided to join Rover. At home, I have a dachshund named Nugget and a cat named Cosmo, so caring for animals is already a big part of my everyday life. I am reliable, consistent and build relationships with the pets to keep them comfortable while you are away. My full-time job has summers off, so I have more open availability. Barring the 4 or 5-hour gaps in my day with my part-time job, I can give your pet the care they need/require. I have two medium-sized dogs and a geriatric cat (he is 26!). When moving from Florida to Alaska I needed someone to watch my kitties for 2 weeks and was nervous about finding someone to reliably provide quality care for two of my cats who have medical needs. I was so pleased with Alex's care for my babies and felt immensely fortunate to have her as a sitter during the move. She was able to administer my diabetic cat's insulin and liquid medication for my cat with allergies. She also when above and beyond to grab the insulin from the pharmacy when I was unable to during my drive to Anchorage. All of her updates about the cats were detailed and helpful to keep track of how they were doing. She gave them lots of love and even extra treats which I'm sure they were excited for. Alex even offered to give one of my cats a bath to help manage his allergies. I cannot recommend Alex enough! I am happy to have found a great sitter in Anchorage :)”

About: I’ve had dogs for as long as I can remember and have been caring for them since I was a little kid. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and they are truly family to me. One of my most meaningful experiences was caring for my late dog, Roo, who battled cancer for about a year before we lost her in September. During that time, I gained experience providing medication, extra comfort, patience, and specialized care. I have a 1 year old puppy named Tilly and a 14 year old dog named Leo who keep me active and remind me every day how important exercise, playtime, routine, and affection are. I treat every dog in my care as if they were my own! Whether your pup loves to play, go on walks, or curl up on the couch for cuddles, they’ll receive plenty of attention and care while staying with me. My goal is for every dog to feel safe, happy, loved, and right at home while you’re away. I work from 10am-4pm Monday to Thursday. Friday-Sunday I am off! Before and after work, I make sure dogs get plenty of attention, exercise, and potty breaks!! Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a secure fenced backyard for supervised play and plenty of space for dogs to relax indoors. My own dogs are friendly, playful, and very accustomed to being around other dogs. I carefully introduce pets with slow introduction so your dog won’t get overwhelmed. I follow each owner’s instructions, and maintain routines as closely as possible. I provide lots of attention, updates, and LOTS of photos throughout their stay!
About: My husband and I lost our great Pyrenees last year :( We miss him. We would like to watch another dog because our shihtzu is getting older and does not like to hike anymore. She does enjoy her walks tho. We like all types of dogs as long as they are well behaved and get along with cats and other dogs. Our home is 2,800 sq ft and we have a 10,000 sq ft yard. We can only host 1 dog so your dog will be well taken care. We prefer only one at a time since we also have a cat but may make an exception if from the same family . I am currently working part time but work from home most of the time. My husband also works from home . We walk our dog 2 -3 times a day. We like to hike and during the summer and in winter we walk the trails that are right next to our home. I have a fenced yard , but can also crate your baby if you prefer. We have everything needed for a big or little dog.

About: i had 3 dogs in my life. 2 of the dogs i had. i had since i was born. then i adopted another dog in 2014. wanting to adopted more dogs in the future. i have dogsit before in the past 3 years before i knew about rover. i love and adore dogs. i cant imagine life without one. About: Roughly two years ago, I received a call from a colleague asking to house sit for a weekend after a previous bad experience with boarding two dogs. Both with health issues and one of them not sociable with other dogs. My colleague came back to a clean home, garden watered, mail organized and the dogs very well loved and walked everyday. Ever since, I have housesat for anywhere from 48hrs to nearly 30 days at a time with zero issues. Bed time rituals, feeding songs, walking a slightly reactive dog, cuddling very closely at night were the priorities at the top of the to-do list. Now that two years have passed since that first call I have decided to try my hand at truly making dog walking/house sitting/drop-in playdates a side gig! I work 12hrs a day, rotating weeks 3 days or 4 days a week. Typically Wednesday/Thursday-Saturday off every week. I am up early most mornings in my time off, can make myself available for late nights Wednesday-Friday as well. In your home, I will follow all requests diligently, check all doors and windows before leaving or before bed. I am MANDT de-escalation trained, CPR/BLS certified and will soon be training to further my EMS-adjacent skillsets. In emergencies, I understand the importance of prioritizing the fur babies and keeping them out of harm’s way.

About: I’ve had pets my whole life, and I’ve worked in emergency veterinary medicine. I am in the process of becoming a licensed veterinary technician. I love all the pets and work well with older pets who may need meds or extra care! I do work full time but am completely free during my off hours! About: I have 2 puppies, one is a year old and the other is 7 months! I have dog sat my friend’s and family members dogs before I moved to Montana! I haven’t had much experience with cats but I would love to start! I usually walk my dogs twice a day and I feel like walking other dogs during those days would be so fun! About: I have loved most animals for as long as I can remember. I am very compassionate towards animals and feel love and concern when I see a lost or unloved animal. I have pet and house sat for two families who came back to me multiple times. I am always willing to adjust my usual routine to make the owners and their furry family members comfortable. I sat for a friend once who requested that I keep their large, fluffy husky mix in my car whenever I left the house. My priority will always be keeping your furbabies happy, healthy, safe, and comfortable. Last, but certainly not least, I have two dogs of my own who I treat as if they were my own children. I am always thinking of how I would want other humans to treat them when I decide how to work with someone else's pets. During the summer, my pet care will be my highest priority. During the school year (mid August through late December and mid January through late May) I work as a teaching assistant and must prioritize that but I would endeavor to schedule all non-work related activities around the needs of the pet and their family. As I have two dogs of my own neither of which get along well with other dogs, I would not be able to care for another pet in my own home, but I am always willing to stay in another home if pets require constant supervision. I would always follow any instructions regarding pet care given me by the owners. If clear instructions are not given to me, I will ask questions and I will simply do my best to make the pet comfortable and not to change their routine more than absolutely necessary.

My dog, Pico de Gallo, is the love of my life, and I would treat your dog/cat/animal with the same care, patience, and love as if they were my own. I work for myself, so any animal that needs care would be worked into my schedule. I can do stop-ins, walks, play time, anything that is needed for your pets to be taken care of. As my calendar fills up, I ensure the times requested for pets come first before overloading my schedule. I would take care of pets in my clients' homes. I would do potty breaks and ensure the house was not used. I would take the dogs for walks and play with them to burn off some energy before bringing them back home, if the owner allowed it. I would also feed and make sure they drank water before I left, updating the owner on how they are doing. Otherwise, I would utilize the spaces given to me ( a fenced yard, etc.). For cats, I would check in on them and make sure they are fed and watered. i would play with them with their toys and then update their owner on how they are doing.

For years I’ve cared for my friends’ dogs whenever they traveled, and after realizing how much I enjoy it, I decided to join Rover. I have dog beds through out the house so your dog can relax where ever it feels most comfortable. My own dogs are extremely friendly, playful and very accustomed to being around other dogs.
