“Charlene is awesome! She was able to last minute let my puppy out. I really am thankful for her availability and willingness to help! She sent multiple pictures as well!! Will continue to use!”

About: I have always been an animal lover, having multiple cats, dogs, chickens and taking care of the animals on my aunt’s farm since I was a child. I work at a doggy daycare which has enhanced my knowledge of different breeds energy levels, mannerisms and needs as they grow older. I would love to give your furry kids all the fun, love and care they would otherwise miss while you are away! I’m currently working part time so I’ll have plenty of time to give your furry kids lots of love and attention! I’m available on the weekends, mornings 7-11am and at night after 6:30pm and offer overnight care everyday. I will follow any instructions or suggestions you give me and always respect your home. If you have a fenced in yard I will let your kids run wild, if not, I will happily take them on a 30 min walk minimum and play with them lots afterward so they get a good exercise! I will give them lots if attention and kisses and send you pictures of them living their best life!

“Sydney was amazing. Every drop in she was on time and never late. This was my first time using rover but I will absolutely be using it again. My dogs are my everything and Sydney took care of them like her own. Would recommend Sydney to anyone!”

“Rebekah was extremely responsive and accommodating, and my cat seemed to really like her when she did her drop in visits while I was away. Very pleasant experience all around, highly recommend.”
“Britney did a great job taking care of our cats while we were away. She came at the time we requested, fed and cleaned up after our kitties and sent pictures of them and her petting them. I would definitely recommend her!”

“Mary was so great with my dog, will be using her as my regular dog sitter going forward. Was super attentive and interactive with him from the first meet and greet. Great communication from her and loved the check ins she sent while she came to visit, very glad I found somebody so happy to spend some time with him when I’m at work. 10/10 recommend!”

“My cat Watson is a shy kitty and her first instinct to strangers is always hiding. Brittany was very patient with her and got Watson to warm up to her : ) Brittany is awesome and I very much appreciated her! Will definitely book her again next time when I'm out of town.”

“My husband and I were so grateful for the wonderful care and attention given to our 15 year old Field Spaniel Archie!! Would highly recommend and have referred to other family members. Will use again.”

About: I have years of experience taking care of many different type of animals. Many of my clients I have had for a long time and they continue to recommend me to more people in need of animal care! My top priority is to ensure the happiness and safety of all animals. I am currently in school and work a part-time job. Most of my availability is on the weekends, but I can be available Wednesdays after 4pm, along with Mondays between 11am-1pm. When caring for pets in client’s homes I can let them out (in a fenced in area or on a leash) for bathroom breaks and play with them for a little bit.
“Nina was fantastic in taking care of our kitties. She was flexible when we had last minute schedule changes and super nice and communicative throughout the whole process. We will definitely rebook with her again!”

“Amanda is a kind and caring person. My kitties were well cared for. Therefore, I was able to relax while away and not worry about my precious kitties. I am eternally grateful for ROVER and Amanda and the services that they provided. Thank you! ❣️🐾❣️🐾❣️”

About: I’ve had experience taking care of animals since I was young! I often do pet care for my friends, family and coworkers as well as volunteer for local adoption agencies. I am capable of handling pets of all shapes, sizes and ages as I’ve come across them all with my experiences. I’m also equipped to handle pets with special needs. I am also certified in CPR & First Aid for Dogs & Cats, so you can trust that your family is safe in my hands. I work full time M-F, 1st shift. However, have plenty of early morning availability and afternoon and evenings. I try to accommodate for the needs of all pets & their parents. This allows me to spend quality time and give pets the proper care they need. With that being said, I highly encourage booking with me as I have time for Meet & Greets as well! During our M&G, we will develop a care plan for your fur babies for the service you booked me for. *At this time, pick-up/drop-off available for clients within a 10-15 mile radius of Griswold, CT* I focus entirely on providing structured, attentive care right in the comfort of your pet's own home. I treat your home with total respect and will send you regular updates and photos so you have complete peace of mind.
“Nikki took care of my dog for two days, and this whole experience has been excellent. She is caring and gentle to my animals, and also watched over my cats even though that wasn’t included in her duties. Thank you very much for that! I think Nikki genuinely cares about animals, and I would highly recommend her services. She has walked my dog, fed my dog, and played with him during the visits. I received photos from her while I was away from my home, and I feel very safe to have let her take care of my dog. Also, Nikki was very friendly and professional. I definitely would hire her to take care of my dog again next time I have to be away from home.”
“Nicole was absolutely great with the two bigs doggos that can be a handful. Super informative and responsive. Will be booking Nicole again! Definitely recommend if you’d like to feel at ease while away.”

“Lauren was really nice and communicative while watching my 2 cats! She was able to give my kitty his pills while I was gone and checked in and sent photos every time she stopped by. She also answered within a week of when I needed a sitter! Definitely would recommend booking with Lauren :)”

About: I am a Certified Veterinary Technician who graduated from Becker College in 2021. My passion for animals is my drive. I currently work at a non-profit veterinary clinic with low-income cost options. I truly feel like I am doing a great thing! Because I’ve been a technician for 5 years, medications etc. are no issue! I also have experience with training! I am a veterinary technician who works 4 days a week so I’m always looking for more animals to fill my other three days of downtime with! I choose to make pet care fit, because it’s my passion. I want owners to be able to vacation worry free! I care for pets in clients homes the way I am asked to. For example, if you ask for your dog to be crated, I will make sure that is done before heading out. The same goes for mealtimes and medication times. I work with the dog’s personality in it’s preferred environment.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Baltic. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
