“Kiara is a true cat lover! When she came by the house, she found my kitty although my cat hides, and she took pictures of the happy girl to send to me. She was very flexible when I needed a schedule change and she was super dependable! I like her and will def hire her again! Thanks Kiara!”

Charlene T.

“Charlene was a huge help with my boys. I just moved to the area and I’m very particular on who watches them and they both absolutely loved her. When she came to meet them, she ensured she spent enough time so they would be familiar with her for the drop ins. Thank you!”

About: I became a dog mom to a fluffy golden retriever Feb of 2019 and it has been the greatest 4 years of my life. I trained him to be a therapy dog and now he helps me with my clients at my day job as a Social Worker. I take him everywhere with me and we get out all the time. I’d like to think we are deeply in touch with nature. Beaches, parks, hikes, lakes, etc. we love all the sunshine! I’m currently working at a school. We follow the Norwich Public schools calendar, and get breaks throughout the year. It’s summertime baby! Which means now I am available 7 days a week. I love all dogs and firmly believe dogs require a lifetime of care and attention. I make sure to always have the time, finances, and support to provide the best possible care for my dog and I plan to do the same for each and every dog I care for.

Tina B.

“Tina went above and beyond for our pup. She was caring and attentive to our dog’s needs and was willing to engage with our dog on her terms. They became fast friends and I can’t recommend Tina more.”

Christopher D.
“Chris helped my dog Sasuke when he was really sick. He was caring, attentive, and made my lab's final moments full of happiness. Love Chris!”

Anna C.
“Anna is a great caregiver for our 60 pound 2 1/2 year old Boxer mix, Ethan. She walks with him in our woods regularly. She follows our instructions to the tee. She has developed such a nice bond with him, that she has become one of his favorite people. We strongly recommend Anna to help you take care of your doggies when you are not able to. They will love her!”

About: I absolutely adore all dogs and cats and every animal I see. I’ve grown up with cats so I am quite experienced caring for cats, but I would love to gain experience caring for dogs. I am currently on summer break from college and working part time so I have wide availability for caring for your pets! I usually only work a few nights a week so I’d love to take care of your pet during the day! I would very much enjoy coming and taking your dog on a walk. I love walks myself and can handle any type of dog when walking publicly! I also am comfortable coming into your home and caring for your pet as needed.

About: I have lived with a dog in my family for as long as I can remember. I have had three dogs (Cherry and Dutty) and am currently petsitting my sister's dog (Thor) on weekday mornings. Thor used to live with me and my family but my sister has recently moved out. I love being around dogs because they show you so much affection without speaking. I always look forward to taking care of my sister's dog. I walk Thor around my neighborhood so he can get some exercise and lead a long healthy life. My sister went to the vet for a check-up and told her he has lost three pounds since I started walking him more :). I also bathe Thor on a monthly basis. My past dog, Dutty, was a smaller dog but I took care of him with the basics such as walking, baths, etc. I was still in my child/adolescent years when Dutty was around. I also have four guinea pigs with two being male (Coconut and Milo) and the other two being female (Peanut and Peanut Jr.). Peanut Jr. is the daughter of Peanut and Milo. Having four guinea pigs is not easy but it has helped tremendously with taking care of dogs. I would say it has made taking care of dogs much easier! I am currently free for most of the week. If you ask for a schedule that I can't attend to, I will let you know. Every day on a weekday, my sister drops off Thor in the morning at our house. Usually, Thor has already been taken out before my sister drops her off but I take him out if that isn't the case. He is also fed in the morning. Thor seems to be very picky with his food so I have to mix up wet food with his dry food. After this, I leave Thor with my mother so I can feed my guinea pigs and clean their cage. They are in a locked room that Thor can't access for their safety. I try to give Thor as much attention as he likes to cuddle and also be around someone. Even when he is sleeping, he prefers that someone is in the same room with him. Sometimes, I have to watch my nephew for a bit because my mother babysits him while my brother and sister-in-law are at work. Thor is usually happy being around my nephew so it all works out! I make sure Thor isn't rummaging through garbage and pick up anything on the floor that is toxic. Since Thor sheds constantly, I always have to clean the floor to keep the house tidy. I try to walk Thor every three hours and I also would go to my backyard to play with him so he can get some sun.

About: I've been around dogs my whole life and I've taken in family member's dogs while they've gone away many times. I've just recently lost a cat to old age and my dogs have been raised from puppies. I'm not afraid of senior care and puppies. I'm willing to take on special needs as well. My mother's dog is completely blind and incontinent. While I work during the day usually, I come home during lunch to take my dogs out and clean up any messes they make as well as give them extra love. My husband takes them out right before he leaves at 8am in the morning. The longest they are alone is maybe 4-5 hours. Other than that, there is always someone home. I have a large yard and no dog will be out unleashed as I don't have fences. However, I have a 50ft leash for playing in the yard and my Neiborhood has very low traffic and it's very safe for walking. Dogs are allowed on the couches and beds in my home. If there needs to be separation, I have a gated dining room upstairs. We like to treat animals like family in our home and they get spoiled with cuddles and play.

Emily M.

“She always sent pictures of the cats and communicated really well about any changes that needed to be made. We came back to happy cats and never had to worry while we were away.”

About: I have always had a dog since I was a child. As an adult I had/have cats and dogs. I am a responsible adult that took to being a foster mom for many small dog rescues. Such as Small Paws Bichon Rescue, Shih Tzu Furbaby Rescue, Just a Touch Rescue and my own group called KP Rescue & Rehoming. I had a blind poodle and a deaf cocker spaniel. I also had two Labradors and have experience with large breed dogs. I am retired and have extra hours in my week to spend my time pet sitting. I am available most mornings and afternoons. I am also available to stay in your home while you go on vacation or away for some time. I am very flexible in my dates and times. I take caring for animals a very responsible thing to do. I take care of the animals as the owner would like me to. I am cautious and safety is a must.
