About: Hi, I’m Rae! I’m a pet-obsessed U.S. Navy veteran, professional dog groomer by trade, and lifelong animal person with hands-on experience caring for animals of all types, sizes, breeds, ages, and personalities. Growing up, I had all kinds of animals to learn from, from small pets to much larger ones. Working professionally with dogs has taught me patience, how to read body language, recognize when a dog is stressed or uncomfortable, and adjust my approach to help them feel safe. I’m comfortable with puppies, senior pets, nervous dogs, high-energy breeds, and multi-pet households. At home, I have an Australian Shepherd, a Miniature Schnauzer, and three cats of my own — and I would absolutely have more if I didn’t have a husband to keep me in check. Each of my pets has their own unique quirks and I’m very familiar with managing different personalities, routines, and energy levels. I’ll treat your pets the way I’d want someone to treat mine: with patience, attention, lots of love, and plenty of updates for you! work as a professional dog groomer, so pet care is already a big part of my everyday routine. My schedule varies throughout the week, which gives me flexibility for drop-ins, walks, and overnight care. When I’m caring for your pet, I’ll make sure their normal feeding, potty, exercise, medication, and bedtime routines are kept as consistent as possible. I’m also happy to accommodate pets who need a little more structure, extra exercise, or simply more one-on-one attention. Safety is always my first priority. As a professional groomer, I’m very comfortable reading animal body language and recognizing when a pet is nervous, overwhelmed, or needs space. In my home, I have a securely fenced yard as well as resident dogs and cats, so introductions and interactions are handled carefully rather than assuming every animal will immediately be best friends. Pets can be separated for meals, downtime, or whenever needed, and I’m comfortable using crates or pens when that is already part of their routine. In a client’s home, I’ll follow your normal routine and house rules as closely as possible so your pet can stay comfortable in their own environment.

About: My veterinary assistant experience with small and large animals sets me apart as I keep a close eye on your animal’s health and well-being. I am not easily spooked, but I want your pet to receive the best care I can give. I am not a trainer, but I am comfortable dealing with some pets with behavioral issues. I want to create the safest and most comfortable environment for your pet, your sanity and myself! I currently work four days a week and have a three day weekend. I am looking to pet sit for people who are going on a short trip or need routine weekend care. I can be flexible with week nights, but it will need to be established well in advance. I am looking to house sit in the owners residence. My cats would not be happy to have any new comers to our family. I am very punctual with breakfast and dinner time, and I am typically one to spend time wherever the pet would like to whether that be indoors or outdoors!

About: I have owned dogs throughout my whole life. At one point Our pack totaled 6. I’ve owned 2 horses, a guinea pig, a rabbit, and a cat. I worked as an apprentice vet tech until the veterinarian died unexpectedly of a heart attack. I have recently pursued more education regarding grooming. I have groomed my own dogs and friends dogs over the years. I am conscientious and will never allow a dog to be in pain seeking medical care immediately. I would like it to be part time to start with the option of going full time further down the road. I am working on grooming lessons, and my current part time job. I believe in being observant of their behaviors and to respond accordingly. Our dogs receive much love and play time. They are allowed to be with us and on our furniture. About: I don’t have my own pet anymore as he passed from old age. I like to take care of other people’s pets when they are on vacation and care for them with as much love as if they were my own. I will stay at your home if needed , schedule potty break services as well. I work at a school so let out before I go to work and right after, evenings and bed time. I will take care of pets in clients home with care plan that fits the pets needs. Give them plenty of attention and care to take away any worries when you are away.

About: I have experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages and personalities. I previously worked at a boarding dog/cat kennel, where I’ve been responsible for multiple dogs and cats. I’ve also been a pet owner my entire life and currently have a dog and three cats. Alongside having my pets, I have experience giving medication including pills and insulin injections for diabetes. I understand that every pet has different needs, and I’ll make sure your pet is well cared for. I am currently unemployed, so I am very flexible with scheduling and have plenty of time to care for your pet! I do have some nighttime commitments for at most 2 hours twice a week (band rehearsal) but other than that I am free. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my main priorities. I will follow your instructions and your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, medications, walks, playtimes, and any other special care they need.

About: No rule will be bent, no abnormal behavior will go unreported, and no tummy will be left unrubbed! I've done it all! Boarding, overnights, drop in visits, walks, appointment escort, etc... I just love animals. I've never met an animal I didn't get along with and never feel better than when one returns that love. I know it can be challenging and, frankly, scary to trust someone else with your pets- they're family after all! That's why I consider the role of pet sitter as the most important part of my day. You want pictures? You got 'em! You need updates? Expect a detailed text! You want someone to reassure your babies to not worry and their mom(s)/dad(s) will be home soon? I will be as clear with them as if they were a human child! I get it, you worry they will feel scared when you aren't home. That's why I am here. Food, walks, and playtime are all well and good, but I believe it is just as important to make them feel as comfortable as I can with as much reassurance as I can give. I am a weekly volunteer at Kitty Harbor in Griswold so when it comes to cats, I am experienced in all sorts of mishaps- litter accidents, dirty butt, scratch boo boos, and more. I am also experienced in administering medication. Of course, if you're kitty has a way that works for them, then that's how we'll get it done! As for the pups, I am always excited to get a chance to go for a walk or even a full on hike! Exercise is always more fun when a four legged friend is involved. If you're training a young puppy, or even an old fellow, just let me know exactly when I should be disallowing and you can feel comfortable they won't be learning any bad behavior from me. One last note: boundaries are so important. Every animal is different and every animal has their own limits. If your kitty doesn't like to be pet, then no pets they shall have. If your dog doesn't like to be watched while they eat, then my eyes shall be shut. I hate being stressed, why would I put that on anyone else? I work a 9-5 in Norwich so I am available early mornings and evenings for visits. If you're in Norwich, I can be available mid day for a lunch time drop in as well. I have reliable transportation and a desire to start and/or end my day with furry friends. As for weekends, I am always booked afternoon into the evening on Sunday for my time with the kitties at the Kitty Harbor, but other than that I can have plenty of room on the weekends to add your babies in to my routine. Routine and boundaries. Whatever they are used to, that's what they'll get from me! I hate being stressed, why would I want to do anything to make an animal unnecessarily stressed?

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and have always loved being around them. My girlfriend and I have an Australian Shepherd of our own who’s a huge part of our family, so I know how important it is to find someone you trust with your pup. I’m the go to dog sitter for friends and family, one of my friends even calls me the “dog whisperer.” I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and personalities, whether they love to play or just want someone to hang out with. I’m confident handling dogs on walks and keeping up with leash training and good habits. I’m also happy to feed, administer medication, and take care of any special routines or needs your furry family member has. I’ll treat your dog like they’re one of my own and make sure they get plenty of love, attention, and care while you’re away. I’m here for you and for your fur baby, whatever you need I will do it! With that my dog is on a good routine, 7am-7:30am she goes potty 8:30am-9am breakfast 10:30am-11:00am she goes for her first walk for about 30mins to 1.5hours depending on the day Between 12:30pm-4pm we do about 5-10mins of mental stimulation training 5pm-6:30pm she gets dinner and an after dinner walk 7pm-the rest of the night we chill I have a fenced in backyard with plenty of room to run around! The doggos can run around and play with each other or train.

I love dog sitting and walking because I am full hearted animal lover, I will play with your dog non stop until they get tired and reward their wonderful behavior with all the love and belly rubs possible. I spend hours outside with my dogs and while also taking them to our favorite field and swimming. I want to give other dogs the same opportunities. I have been dog sitting since I was 12, so for over 10 years. I am also comfortable with other pets as well! I’ve also cared for rats, bunnies,and other furry creatures you may have at home! * discount offered to not book with Rover* I have worked with handfuls of pets and I’m willing to learn and listen to what your pets do and don’t like so I can give them the best care possible while following instructions given. I’m currently not working and therefore available during the week days! Weekends can be discussed, but not advertising for booking to spend time with my family I follow your instructions to keep everyone safe, as well as leaving items where you left them so you don’t have to look for them later. About: I absolutely love going for walks and runs with dogs! Please see updated photos for some of my previous pet clients. Recently took care of a few hairless cats as well as a big dog! I’ve taken care of pets in many settings, including messier households! (Not a neat freak so messes do not bother me!) I trained my Doberman on Couch to 5k, running through all the trails in RI. I’ve taught my cat how to shuffle cards, play piano, and spin in a circle on command, and my mom’s old cat would always practice Pilates with us at 6 in the morning. Recently I dropped in for a friend’s 2 cats, even the shy one eventually warmed up to me! They required medication in their food so she left detailed, neatly handwritten notes on the table, which helped a lot! Known for my positive and caring energy as a music therapist (who works alongside a pet therapist!) and music teacher, and with a mom with a college degree in animal science, I have a passion for animals in general. She is now dating a farmer and we now have a baby cow named clover who I help take care of occasionally on Sundays. Generally I am available in the middle of the day most days of the week for one-off visits. My boyfriend is a biologist and also has a small dog who I walk frequently in the mornings and at midnight (she’s a night owl like us!) Available to do drop-ins at your home within 45 mins of Montville - please message me at least one week before your trip to solidify the booking! Please be kind, respectful, and professional in your requests - I do not take last minute visits but would love to help you out with your furry friend. Not a veterinarian, just an animal lover with a lot of compassion!! One of my favorite activities is running, I can always walk or run with your pet, or if you prefer us to lounge, I have lots of great pet-friendly shows on our nice TV. I love driving so I’m happy to drive to you if it’s further away - as I am regularly back and forth between Westerly, RI and Uncasville, CT. Outside of teaching in a formal studio, I’ve worked in client’s homes for therapy-related meetings as well as for music lessons - and believe it or not often times there are pets who love to sing along to the music! I usually stay home in the morning so I can easily take care of your pet between 7 am and 2 pm. I used to have an office job but found it too sedentary and draining; I discovered I thrive in outdoor and home environments. I’m excited to enter this new chapter and care for animals! I have a partially fenced yard so I would generally take pets out on a leash but it is a non-busy road and very safe - the lawn is freshly mowed and we have a playground your dog can weave around! I also have a cute little neighborhood that we can circle around that is far from the highway and if your pet loved car rides, we can always go to the park and get ice cream! Occasionally our neighbor’s dog likes to come over unsolicited but he is always very gentle and friendly! My cats are also used to my mom’s boyfriend’s rambunctious dogs coming in and out from time to time and we have plenty of doors and rooms in the house and baby gates if we ever needed to keep pets separate! We also have a spare pet bed if needed that was gifted to us - we always want to make sure your pet is comfortable sleeping at night!
