“Emma saved the day! I had a last minute trip out of town come up and Emma was able to do three drop in visits with my cats. She kept me updated with pictures the whole time and even got my normally shy cat to come out for some love. I would recommend Emma in a heartbeat.”

About: I have experience with pet sitting, walking, and drop in visits. I am looking forward to hearing the needs of your fur baby to have them enjoy their time to the max! I have free time to care for your pet as I work from home and my family is prepared and ready to help when needed! We have space for your pet to enjoy and share our home. We have places and a bed they can go to relax and we love to take them out to play and sniff around in the yard.
“Faith is quite possibly the best pet sitter of all time! I forgot to leave my pets stuff out as usual and had to improvise, she is always helpful and always takes great care of my dog while I'm away”

“Tova was fantastic! She watched our cat while we were away. She is an indoor/outdoor cat and Tova made sure she got plenty of time outside so she was a happy girl when we got back! Will definitely be using her services again.”

“Eden did a great job caring for my cats. It was reassuring to see the picture of my nervous kitty come out for her during the first visit! She went above and beyond. I will definitely hire her again!”

About: I always grew up with at least 1 dog. Ray wasn't the friendliest, so I got a quick introduction to being careful with walks and strangers. Kalie was friendlier, but also liked her independence. She was the first dog I was actually able to "train". After I moved out, my parents got Sammie and Thurman, and I've been able to teach them a few tricks when I visit. I am currently off for the summer (teacher) and have almost every weekday completely free. I'm good about scheduling and organizing my time. When school starts back up, availability would change. Safety is my number one priority. I am very aware of body language in animals, and would never force an uncomfortable situation onto a pet. I would go at the animal's pace to make sure it's as pleasant of a visit as possible.
About: I've had dogs all of my life and have plenty of experience with cats as well. I prefer dogs but love both! I have had dogs up to 70 lbs and experience with up to 100 lbs. From December 12 to Late January, I will be on break from college so my schedule is mostly open! I can be available from about 10 am to about 8 pm. I will be respectful of your home and space. I love walking and will gladly take dogs on walks around your neighborhood. I have hit 10 miles a day, so don't worry about me tiring out!
About: I have been pet sitting for 8 years, but have been a lover of animals my whole life. I have cared for all sorts of animals, from dogs and cats, to rabbits, turtles, goats, and birds. I give every animal the attention they deserve and I treat each animal as if they were my own. I am trustworthy, kind, punctual, and dedicated to the welfare of all animals in my care. I do house sitting, dog walking, in home care, and boarding. I can care for animals that need medications. I have experience working with puppies and house training. I take the care of animals very seriously and will do everything I can to make them comfortable while you are away from them. I will be their friend when your away and their home away from home. I am currently unemployed and a stay at home dad for my daughter and son. My daughter is in school. Both of them love animals. I have open availability to take care of your fur babies. I make sure the pets are happy and healthy and give them lots of attention and love as if they were my own. I love to play with animals.
About: I've lived with dogs nearly my whole life, and cats for half of it. I have taken care of said pets for years and been an in-family pet sitter on numerous occasions. My mother frequently cares for other pets through apps like this/through friends, and I assist her with that when needed. At the moment, I care for my mother's pets when she leaves town for any length of time (1 small/medium dog, 1 cat). Otherwise, I'm a free agent. Some of the services listed on the app have the potential to overlap (such as a visit and a walk), I don't consider the price to be totally compounding, just let me know and we can figure out what works best. I'd imagine this is on a situational basis. I'll pet/feed/walk them and am able to follow directions as well as any human, should your pet require specific, or unique, handling. I can usually read pet body language pretty well, but have no specific training in it. If there are any areas of confusion for me, I'll be sure to ask questions to make sure your pet is cared for properly.
“Olivia accommodated a short-notice request without missing a beat. Took the time to meet Rosco and Roxy beforehand, sent great updates and photos throughout the day. It was clear they enjoyed every visit and were well taken care of. Reliable, communicative, genuinely caring. Highly recommend.”

About: There’s always been a dog in my house ever since I was born. Sparky, Bobo, Patrick, and now my Delilah. I’m a big fan of every kind of dog and love meeting new ones! I’m usually home all day, helping my mother take care of my grandmother. I have plenty of time to pop out and drop in on your dog! I’m capable of letting your dog out, either in a fenced yard or on a leash. As well as feed and make sure their water bowl is full!
“Ashley is so amazing! She is great with sending pictures and updates on my cats and she takes the time to give them love and attention, which is much appreciated while I’m away! Highly recommend”

“Angelina did drop in house visits for our cat and dog. She was very responsive and caring for them. The first time we've left our dog home while on vacation, as she tends to get sick after a kennel stay due to nervousness and very shy. Such a relief to come home and have her be happy and not sick. Definitely would recommend and have Angelina to drop in visits again.”

About: I have cared for dogs since I was young and understand the importance of keeping pets safe, comfortable, and loved. I make sure pets receive proper care, attention, exercise, and affection while their owners are away. I currently do not have a job so I will have all day to play with your pups and take care of them. I am available from 9 am to 3 pm Monday to Friday. I do not have a fenced yard but I will keep your fur babies safe and keep an eye on them at all times. I do have 2 other dogs that are friendly so your fur babies can have someone to play with.
About: I may not have experience in pet care but from my own experience with my pup. I will love your pets as if they were my own, i love all animals and if I could I would take in every stray dog or cat or any animal into my home. Anyone who knows me will say the same, I hope that even with my little experience you will still consider me. My love for animals is a lot that it might even be an obsession but I can’t help it, i am not afraid to say this but sometimes I prefer animals than people haha. It is honestly such a gift to have such loyal creatures in our lives, it’s another kind of happiness. Thank you

Carolina was great! She stopped in morning and night to feed, give water, and play with our Australian shepherd for a few nights. Luna had so much fun with her and was still a happy girl when we got home. She sent lots of pictures and videos and asked clarifying questions to make sure everything was as it should be! I would book her again for her awesome help

George did an amazing job with my dog. He was super attentive to details and called to update me after each check in. Very affordable and all around very good person that really cares about the animal’s comfort and happiness and will go out of his way to ensure it! Highly recommended!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
