About: I have over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for animals through my work at animal shelters and a luxury cat boarding kennel! Throughout that time, I have cared for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities, including shy cats, energetic dogs, senior pets, and animals with special care needs. My experience includes feeding, administering medications, cleaning runs and litter boxes, monitoring health and behavior, providing enrichment and exercise, and ensuring animals feel safe and comfortable. Working in shelter and kennel environments has taught me how to recognize signs of stress or illness, handle animals safely and compassionately, and adapt to each pet's individual needs. I understand how important it is for pet parents to know their pets are in caring and capable hands, and I am committed to providing reliable, personalized care and regular updates during every visit! I am currently working part-time at a luxury cat boarding kennel, which allows me to have a relatively flexible schedule for drop-ins and walks! I am also available to house sit, however I am unable to stay nights as I have an elderly kitty who gets lonely. My current availability is as follows: - Saturday & Monday from 8am-8pm - Sunday, Wednesday, & Thursday from 11:30am-8pm - Tuesday & Friday from 4:30pm-8pm When caring for your pet in your home, I focus on maintaining your pet's regular routine, carefully following all instructions to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and stress-free while you are away. My top priority is safety. I make sure doors, gates, and windows are secure, use leashes and harnesses as directed, and monitor pets for any signs of stress, illness, or injury. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pets are happy and well cared for! Additionally, I treat your home with the same level of care, ensuring it is kept clean, secure, and respected. I care for both your pet and your home as if they were my own.

Emma saved the day! I had a last minute trip out of town come up and Emma was able to do three drop in visits with my cats. She kept me updated with pictures the whole time and even got my normally shy cat to come out for some love. I would recommend Emma in a heartbeat.

About: I may not have experience in pet care but from my own experience with my pup. I will love your pets as if they were my own, i love all animals and if I could I would take in every stray dog or cat or any animal into my home. Anyone who knows me will say the same, I hope that even with my little experience you will still consider me. My love for animals is a lot that it might even be an obsession but I can’t help it, i am not afraid to say this but sometimes I prefer animals than people haha. It is honestly such a gift to have such loyal creatures in our lives, it’s another kind of happiness. Thank you

About: I have many different experiences with animal care, including internships at a vet clinic and animal shelters. I also have volunteered at a bird sanctuary and care for my own animals on a daily basis (parrot and rabbit). I help to care for animals daily at my house (parrot and rabbit). I am a grad student at UConn so before/after classes and research each weekday, I’m able to provide care to any animal that needs me! I will follow any and all directions to the best of my ability as well as provide the animals with as much comfort and companionship I can. I’m also able to administer medications if needed, as long as I’m shown or told so beforehand. If I’m in a home, I’ll provide care in a timely manner and will keep interruptions to a minimum during a visit or stay.

Clayton took such loving care of my elderly fur baby. She even brought my pup some enticing food to get him to eat as he was so sad I wasn’t home. She was so patient and kind to him. I was so grateful for this experience as I was so nervous to leave him. She kept me updated regarding all of here visits with pictures included. Thanks so much for allowing me to have a much needed vacation, Cayton!

About: I’ve grown up with pets since I was a child—tiny dogs, large dogs, cats…even chickens! Extensive experience with walking, bathing, feeding, and providing animal care and companionship. I am also the ultimate pet hype man—I’m always ready to let your pet know that they are the goodest boy (or girl)!! I currently work full-time, but would be available for walks/check-ins during my lunch break (flexible timing), in the evenings (4:30 or later), and any time on the weekends/holidays! I can feed/medicate animals, and crate them if necessary. I will also ensure adequate water/food availability, and no hazards present in the home before leaving.

Carolina was great! She stopped in morning and night to feed, give water, and play with our Australian shepherd for a few nights. I would book her again for her awesome help

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Quaker Hill stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Quaker Hill choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Quaker Hill with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Quaker Hill. On Rover:

  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
