About: I have been caring for animals personally for the past 14 years. I was a dog mom to Barkley, a 14-year old rescue Yorkie, who crossed the rainbow 🌈 bridge in 2024. I have experience caring for senior dogs, puppies and all ages in between. While I don’t have a backyard with my townhome, there is a ton of green space in my community for walks to provide plenty of sunshine, fresh air and exercise for your pooch. Currently, I am working from home full-time during the week with 1-in office day a week. I take frequent breaks throughout the day that allow me to provide walks and potty breaks. I want to make sure your fur baby is as comfortable as they are at home so please feel free to share the needs and routines of your pooch. As a dog mom who has utilized a sitter for the past 12 years I understand the perspective of leaving your fur baby in the hands of someone else. You can expect quality and attentive care and of course all the free tummy rubs. I currently work from home 4 days of the week and can provide potty breaks and walks throughout the day. I’m usually away from the house on average 2 hours a day total for errands or working out. I can accommodate to the needs of your dog so they can have as close to their routine. Let me know if you would prefer for your dog to be crated or kept in a specific area during the day or night.
“Carmen is great! She did a wonderful job looking after my dog for a long weekend, and all the great pictures and fun videos she sent during her visits confirmed how well my dog took to her. 10/10 would recommend Carmen!!”

“Stephen did an awesome job sitting for us! Our dogs managed to get out of their run, but he saved the day by fixing the broken boards. He went above and beyond to help us. Our dogs were so happy and well taken care of. I highly recommend him, he is great with dogs!”

“Mariah is great. I needed last minute care and she was able to help. I met her and her family for a meet and greet and they were so good with my babies. I will definitely have her in mind for future care :).”

“Ashanti stepped in at the last minute to help with my pup, and she was so easy to with despite the fact that this was our first time booking together! She responded quickly, ensured all was taken care of, and provided great feedback on the visit. Definitely recommend and will be booking with again in the future!”

“Ashley takes such great care of our baby Grogu… he loves being with her and can’t wait for her to come to our house and play and have fun!! Highly recommend Ashley!!”

“Samantha was great with my three-month-old puppy, showing a lot of patience and care. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure he felt comfortable. My puppy took to her right away, and I could tell he enjoyed his time with her. I’d definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

About: I've been taking care of my family and friends pets for as long as I remember. Everything from gentle giants to tiny sassy dogs, I enjoy gaining dog's trust and ensuring a good time for everyone. I am currently unemployed and have PLENTY of time and love to ensure your pet is well taken care of. I offer plenty of flexibility during the week and offer Saturday morning with prior notice. During check-ins I like to be very thorough about my visit and report all of the sassy side eyes and crazy tail wags. I let your pets guide my check-ins, for my more social, cuddly friends, I have plenty of belly rubs. For my more independent friends, I'm happy to watch them in their solo activities.
“Courtney took great care of my dogs and house while I was out of town. She was extremely flexible with the scheduled drop ins and very responsive to any messages. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone.”

“Jennifer did a great job watching over my three dogs and made sure to follow their special instructions with no problems. She was on time for each drop-in and helped me to have a stress-free time away.”

Dania has been so great this week with our baby Lucy. We lost our other fur baby last weekend and all been taking it hard, when we had to return to work we needed a sitter for our babygirl towards the end of the week. We booked with Dania and are so grateful we did. ❤️ Dania is so sweet, loving and patient with Lucy it’s means a lot especially during this time that she been hurting for her brother. She has kept her happy, safe and nurtured. She has kept us updated and asked all the questions to make sure we were ok as well during her in home visits. Lucy is a shy girl and she has warmed up to Dania’s loving vibe. She played outside with her and kept her happy. We will always check for her availability and trust her with the safety of our baby girl. Thank you Dania for you services!❤️🐾🫂

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
