Jennifer did a great job caring for my dogs. My English bulldog can be a little stubborn lol but she did an amazing job with him. We’re so appreciative of the visits and updates, it really gave us peace of mind while we were away. I definitely recommend Jennifer and hope to book her when our next trip comes around!

About: I've been taking care of my family and friends pets for as long as I remember. Everything from gentle giants to tiny sassy dogs, I enjoy gaining dog's trust and ensuring a good time for everyone. I am currently unemployed and have PLENTY of time and love to ensure your pet is well taken care of. I offer plenty of flexibility during the week and offer Saturday morning with prior notice. During check-ins I like to be very thorough about my visit and report all of the sassy side eyes and crazy tail wags. I let your pets guide my check-ins, for my more social, cuddly friends, I have plenty of belly rubs. For my more independent friends, I'm happy to watch them in their solo activities.

About: I have been caring for animals personally for the past 14 years. I was a dog mom to Barkley, a 14-year old rescue Yorkie, who crossed the rainbow 🌈 bridge in 2024. I have experience caring for senior dogs, puppies and all ages in between. While I don’t have a backyard with my townhome, there is a ton of green space in my community for walks to provide plenty of sunshine, fresh air and exercise for your pooch. Currently, I am working from home full-time during the week with 1-in office day a week. I take frequent breaks throughout the day that allow me to provide walks and potty breaks. I want to make sure your fur baby is as comfortable as they are at home so please feel free to share the needs and routines of your pooch. As a dog mom who has utilized a sitter for the past 12 years I understand the perspective of leaving your fur baby in the hands of someone else. You can expect quality and attentive care and of course all the free tummy rubs. I currently work from home 4 days of the week and can provide potty breaks and walks throughout the day. I’m usually away from the house on average 2 hours a day total for errands or working out. I can accommodate to the needs of your dog so they can have as close to their routine. Let me know if you would prefer for your dog to be crated or kept in a specific area during the day or night.

About: As someone who is going to school to eventually be a veterinarian. I have worked in the industry for 1 year and a half which is where I learned how to care for pets and truly know the meaning of quality care. I enjoyed every part of caring for over 40 dogs at a time which consisted of feeding, walking, playing with, and medicating. It was my job to lead a team to successfully give the proper care the pets needed every minute they were in our watch. I have pets of my own and really enjoy walking them so this part time job is perfect for me. I’m currently working on a college undergrad degree that makes it harder for me to work in a job that is in the animal industry. Being a dog walker would allow me to make my own schedule to be able to go to school at the same time. As coming out of a animal care giver job, I have gained the experience I require to ensure a pets safety at all times. I can ensure trust with a client that I can always bring their loved pet home after their walk. Having my own pets at home, I always make sure that they have my attention when I am watching them, and when they need something I always attend to them. I am a trusted family member when someone needs help with their pet or have any questions.

Angelica did a wonderful job taking care of my cats while I was away! She made sure their kitty litter box was clean each day. She made sure they got fresh water and food each day. She took the time to reassure my cats and to play with them as they became more comfortable. I loved the pictures and texts she provided each day. This was my first time to use a cat sitter and I loved her¹ I absolutely plan on using her again to care of my cats the next time I go on a trip!?

About: Hi my name is Beverly. So nice to meet you. I am an experienced pet sitter with dogs, cats, and birds. I have been doing this for about five years consistently the past two years and I truly love it. I currently don’t have any pets of my own, but do see a lot of my clients for babies as my own as they have already earned a special place in my heart. I really strive to ensure that they feel safe and loved while with me because I know how important it is since they usually are very anxious being away from mom and dad. I also love to take them jogging and walking as that is my go to for my daily workout and so it’s a plus plus. I’m off for the summer so open availability. I’m home most of the days and if I’m not I’m usually just stopping to get groceries or going to workout .Your dog/cat is treated like family when in our care. I live in house with a fenced fully secured backyard, perfect for quick bathroom breaks and playtime. I clean and cut every weekend so it’s always ready for your dog(s) to enjoy. Inside the house I always just let them make themselves at home unless there is specific training instructions and we will ensure those same expectations are followed in our home such as staying off furniture or crate training but if not we are very okay with them joining us on the couch/bed. For HOUSE sittings: I ensure they stick to thier regular routine and schedule. I even go as far as cleaning the house when I get bored lol so you’ll even have a part time maid during my stay.

I like to take dogs on long walks and have since I was little. I also love playing tug of war and fetch with dogs. I work part time only on the weekend so I have a lot of time during the week to play and walk dogs. I also love to meet new dogs and enjoy to play with dogs. During the week I have a lot of free time and enjoy walking throughout the day. I have a small inside dog that I walk often and I also know how to crate dogs if need be. I also have an inside cat so I know how to deal with both animals. I often dog sit family friends dogs that range from small pugs to big German shepherd mixes and have learned how to work with both. About: I have taken care of many dogs through out my years from small chihuahuas to Great Pyrenees. I currently own a German Shepherd, Blue Heeler and two Great Pyrenees that I love with all my heart. I have experience with many breeds and also with training dogs. I can potty train them and teach them a few discipline skills like sit and stays and also teach them funny tricks. I have always loved animals and I want to use this opportunity to experience more with animals as a future veterinarian. I believe becoming a dog sitter will help me have more experience with getting to know different dogs. I honestly believe this will be a fun experience to meet new people and their beloved pets.

About: About me: I have time & quality care to give to the pet(s) you love while walking or pet/house sitting because I'm an online college student. I'm starting in the job field of Animal Behavior on completion of my college degree. My previous career of 21 years was in oceanography, & I look forward to giving your pet the love and attention they deserve. Experience in DOG CARE: In the last 22 years, on the side of my regular job, I have been trusted by family, friends and new clients via word of mouth to pet sit for canines of all sorts to include senior dogs, dogs with cancer, high energy dogs, shy and nervous dogs, a Great Dane, puppies and multi-pet households. Experience in CAT CARE: I've been cat sitting for 21 years for senior cats, cats with diabetes, cats with swimmer’s syndrome, one cat in a wheelchair, shy cats, active cats, multi-pet households, hairless cats, indoor/outdoor cats, indoor only cats, outdoor only cats & kittens. ADDITIONAL PET CARE: I also have 22 years' pet sitting experience with other pets such as hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, fresh water fish, turtles, geese and pigs. In my free time, I've rescued, rehabilitated, trained, fostered and been a pet owner to both dogs and cats in Texas, Virginia, California, Hawaii, Spain and the Kingdom of Bahrain. I have also volunteered at animal rescue and no-kill shelters in all of those places as follows: Humane Society, PAWS of Texas, Hawai'i Bird Rescue, Hawai'i Marine Animal Response, Rota Animal Welfare League Spain, and Bahrain SPCA. I am available for walking, pet/house sitting, pet care, vet visits, pet transportation and moving because I'm a full-time online university student. I have my own reliable transportation to come to you, but I do not have the availability to board animals in my residence at this time. My goal is to keep your pet(s) in their routine with the same worry-free, stress-free care as you have set up for them for walking, pet/house sitting, pet care, vet visits, pet transportation or moving. I have my own reliable transportation to come to you. I offer pet transportation in my own vehicle as well, but I do not have boarding facilities available at this time.

Dania has been so great this week with our baby Lucy. We lost our other fur baby last weekend and all been taking it hard, when we had to return to work we needed a sitter for our babygirl towards the end of the week. We booked with Dania and are so grateful we did. ❤️ Dania is so sweet, loving and patient with Lucy it’s means a lot especially during this time that she been hurting for her brother. She has kept her happy, safe and nurtured. She has kept us updated and asked all the questions to make sure we were ok as well during her in home visits. Lucy is a shy girl and she has warmed up to Dania’s loving vibe. She played outside with her and kept her happy. We will always check for her availability and trust her with the safety of our baby girl. Thank you Dania for you services!❤️🐾🫂

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Balch Springs stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Balch Springs. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
