About: I've been taking care of my family and friends pets for as long as I remember. Everything from gentle giants to tiny sassy dogs, I enjoy gaining dog's trust and ensuring a good time for everyone. I am currently unemployed and have PLENTY of time and love to ensure your pet is well taken care of. I offer plenty of flexibility during the week and offer Saturday morning with prior notice. During check-ins I like to be very thorough about my visit and report all of the sassy side eyes and crazy tail wags. I let your pets guide my check-ins, for my more social, cuddly friends, I have plenty of belly rubs. For my more independent friends, I'm happy to watch them in their solo activities.

About: My wife and I are a military family with a daughter, and we understand that pets are family. With over 10 years of experience caring for dogs and cats, we provide a safe, loving, and reliable environment for your furry baby while you’re away. We treat every pet as if they were our own and look forward to welcoming them into our home with plenty of love, attention, and care. I work fully remote from home, which allows me to provide consistent supervision and care throughout the day. Because I am home nearly 24/7, your pet will receive plenty of attention, companionship, potty breaks, playtime, and affection. Unlike sitters who are away for long work shifts, I am available to monitor your furry baby throughout the day and quickly respond to their needs. My flexible schedule helps ensure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. Your furry baby will enjoy a safe, welcoming environment with plenty of room to play and relax. We have a fully fenced backyard, providing a secure space for supervised outdoor play, exercise, and potty breaks. We also have two friendly dogs of our own: * An 8-year-old female Australian Shepherd who is gentle, well-socialized, and accustomed to being around other dogs. * A 6-month-old Dachshund (wiener dog) who is playful, friendly, and loves making new friends. We understand that every pet has a unique personality and comfort level, so we take the time to ensure introductions are done safely and at a pace that helps everyone feel comfortable. Our goal is to create a fun, loving, and stress-free environment where your pet feels right at home and becomes part of the family during their stay.

“McKensi did a great job, taking care of my fur babies while I was away for a couple of days. I would absolutely book her again! She was very communicative, timely and she did a great job sending me photos and updates each visit. If you are considering a pet sitter for your babies and you will be gone for a good amount of days, she is definitely a sitter you can depend on!”

About: I have taken care of many dogs through out my years from small chihuahuas to Great Pyrenees. I currently own a German Shepherd, Blue Heeler and two Great Pyrenees that I love with all my heart. I have experience with many breeds and also with training dogs. I can potty train them and teach them a few discipline skills like sit and stays and also teach them funny tricks. I have always loved animals and I want to use this opportunity to experience more with animals as a future veterinarian. I believe becoming a dog sitter will help me have more experience with getting to know different dogs. I honestly believe this will be a fun experience to meet new people and their beloved pets.
“I can’t thank Angela enough for the wonderful job she did walking my dog, Cash, this weekend! She was prompt, professional, and so caring with him. Angela went above and beyond by not only taking great care of Cash but also sending me updates and adorable pictures that documented her visit. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. Cash looked so happy in every photo, and it’s clear Angela genuinely loves what she does. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful dog walker!”

“Kendra is the SWEETEST to my furbabies! She has given me so much peace while I’ve been away and has been communicating with me the entire time. I’m beyond grateful to her for her kind disposition and care for my babies. HIGHLY recommend. Look no further!”

“Alexia went above and beyond to not just make sure my two kitties were taken care of, but also managed to keep them comfortable and happy while we were out of town for a week! She cleaned the litter box out and even tidied up and vacuumed when needed. The cats love her and we will definitely have her back”

About: I've been a lifelong dog lover, and caring for pups has always been a natural part of my life. From tiny, nervous rescues to big, goofy cuddle-bugs, I understand that every dog has their own personality, needs, and comfort level. I'm patient, gentle, and attentive - the kind of sitter who notices the little things, keeps routines consistent, and makes sure your dog feels safe, loved, and understood. Whether it's walks, playtime, medication, or just keeping them company, I treat every pet like they're part of my own family. My goal is simple: happy dogs and peace of mind for their humans. I work part-time and have flexible hours for pet care. I'm available for boarding on weekends and weekday afternoons after 2p.m. Your dog will always have calm, consistent company. My home is quiet and safe, with a fenced yard and two friendly dogs. I keep routines simple and peaceful, making sure every pup feels secure and cared for. Crating or separate rest spaces are always available if needed.
“Angel was amazing with Kody! She was punctual, communicative, and took great care of him during the drop-in. I felt totally at ease knowing he was in good hands. I’d definitely book her again!”

About: As someone who is going to school to eventually be a veterinarian. I have worked in the industry for 1 year and a half which is where I learned how to care for pets and truly know the meaning of quality care. I enjoyed every part of caring for over 40 dogs at a time which consisted of feeding, walking, playing with, and medicating. It was my job to lead a team to successfully give the proper care the pets needed every minute they were in our watch. I have pets of my own and really enjoy walking them so this part time job is perfect for me. I’m currently working on a college undergrad degree that makes it harder for me to work in a job that is in the animal industry. Being a dog walker would allow me to make my own schedule to be able to go to school at the same time. As coming out of a animal care giver job, I have gained the experience I require to ensure a pets safety at all times. I can ensure trust with a client that I can always bring their loved pet home after their walk. Having my own pets at home, I always make sure that they have my attention when I am watching them, and when they need something I always attend to them. I am a trusted family member when someone needs help with their pet or have any questions.
About: hello! I have been taking care of pets of my own and other peoples pets for a total of three years. I truly enjoy it, and I tend to have a lot of fun with them. On the weekends I have generally nothing to do besides going to church on Sunday. During the week I work/go to school from 8-5. I have three dogs and two cats of my own at home. I make sure that they are fed accordingly that they are exercised accordingly and that they are taken care of. I understand, that pets need to be taken care of and watched very thoroughly sometimes. So I am willing to do the same for other people’s pets!
“Kimberlee was able to accommodate a short request for our dog when we went out of town unexpectedly. She came to see Coco and play with her and let her out. I really appreciated her quick response and the way that she and her family treated Coco when they were with her. I highly recommend you use her!”
About: I was raised in a rural area with 10 acres of land, and we have always had pets. I've always had a furry child; there has never been a moment in my life without one. I've had the pleasure of raising a variety of dogs throughout the years, as well as two cats. I now have a well-behaved, two-year-old black Lab named Jake. When he was just a tiny puppy, I started training him. He continues to pick up new skills despite having many masteries. I have given Jake all of his training and skills, and even though I have some training expertise, I am not a certified trainer. Jake and I spend a lot of time exercising because we enjoy being outside. Some days, we take a quick lap or two around the block, and others we go for a lengthier walk on the trails! I am a rule-follower, and your pet's health, happiness, and safety are always my top priorities. I am available for drop-in visits (bathroom breaks and feedings), walks, and baths (no grooming). If there is any way I can assist you with your furbabies, kindly let me know! I work three days a week at my full-time job and go to college full-time. I spend a lot of time at home and have time for walks, exercise, baths, and drop-in visits for potty breaks, feedings or check in on your fur babies. I am currently unable to accept any pets for boarding or home-sitting for more than a few hours due to my work and academic commitments. Your pets will be treated the same way I treat mine: as members of the family. At times, my Jake virtually owns the home! While I do let my baby sit on my furniture, I will always abide by your house's pet-related rules. Just make sure to let me know what they are so I can make sure we're acting properly. Currently, I am not available at this time for pet boarding. I do charge for pet baths and it's arranged by weight. Rover only lets me set one price for all and I don't charge one price for all dogs. Please message me if you're interested in having your pet washed and ill tell you my price based on their size/weight.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
