I’ve cared for neighborhood dogs and cats with all kinds of personalities - from playful and energetic to shy, cautious, or happiest curled up nearby. I offer walks, drop-ins, sitting, boarding, meals, play, and plenty of company. Before caring for your pet, I want to know what makes them them: what they enjoy, what they avoid, how they communicate, and what a good day looks like in their world. I’m comfortable following detailed directions for food, medication, bathroom habits, and household rules. While they’re with me, your pet will get thoughtful attention, affection without being overwhelmed, activity that fits their energy, and a peaceful place to settle in. You can expect honest updates and care I’d feel good about giving my own.

AK was BEYOND AMAZING! I recommend her to anyone looking for an attentive, compassionate, kind sitter. She followed all my directions completely and went above and beyond for my dogs. She made sure they had their walks and fed them as well. You can tell she cares so much about animals and will do everything she can to make sure they get well taken care of. Such a great experience! Ann Kareen was reliable, communicative, and took wonderful care of Nola on her walks. I really appreciated the updates and felt completely comfortable knowing Nola was in good hands. Nola seemed happy and comfortable with her, which is always the most important thing for me. I’d absolutely book with her again and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog walker!

Schedule
Your pet’s time with me will be shaped around what makes them happiest. That may mean walks and play, a little extra company, belly rubs, or simply having someone nearby while they relax. They can expect: - Loving, one-on-one attention - Walks, play, and fresh air based on their needs - Meals and bathroom breaks kept on schedule - A clean, comfortable place to settle down - Patience while they adjust to a new person or environment - Photos and updates so you can stay connected I’ll pay attention to their cues and never push them beyond what feels comfortable. I want their time with me to feel easy, enjoyable, and familiar.

Your pet’s safety always comes first. I’m careful with doors, gates, leashes, and introductions, and I supervise interactions rather than assuming every pet will immediately get along. I’ll follow your instructions closely and communicate honestly if I notice a change in your pet’s mood, appetite, bathroom habits, or behavior. You can expect regular updates and photos, along with a home environment that feels welcoming, calm, and cared for.

A typical day
A typical day is based on your pet’s usual rhythm. We’ll start with a bathroom break or litter box check, fresh water, and breakfast when scheduled. From there, the day may include a walk, playtime, toys, attention, or quiet company - depending on what your pet enjoys. I’ll make sure they have time to recharge between activities, followed by additional bathroom breaks, meals, and evening attention as needed. My goal is to keep their day comfortable and familiar while adding a little NicePaws love along the way.

- Before caring for your pet, I’d love to know their feeding and bathroom schedule, energy level, medications, allergies, health concerns, and how they behave around new people or other animals. Please also share anything that could affect their safety or comfort, including anxiety, fears, triggers, escape attempts, resource guarding, or favorite hiding places. And don’t forget the quirky things - the toys they love, where they prefer to sleep, special words they recognize, or the best way to help them settle in. All those details help me get to know your pet and make their time with me feel as easy and familiar as possible.
