“Great dog sitter and very communicative”

“Allison was great! I booked her very last minute, and she still made time to come over to do a greet and meet. She’s clearly a dog lover, and our pups instantly fell in love with her. And very affordable rates! 10/10 would rebook in the future!”

“Amber was so sweet and attentive to make sure my cat was taken care of while I was away. Even though he hid every visit, she made sure all his enrichment activities were ready for him. When we encountered a problem with his water dispenser, she was quick to address it and make sure we had an alternative.”

“Best Rover we have ever had! Both of our cats, including our skittish one who is pretty scared of people, absolutely loved her! During the time, she was very communicative and took incredible pictures! We would and will definitely rebook! We came back to a clean and good smelling house! Thank you!”

“This was our first trip away from our cat, so we needed someone we could rely on to care for her & enjoy play time with her while we were out of town. Sara made sure her every need was met, including playing a VMM from us for Cocoa, on a day she seemed a bit lonesome. Highly recommend Sara for your pet care needs.”

About: Dog runner for energetic Huskies, Heelers, Border Collies, Aussies, and more! High energy dogs are my niche. I'm a lifelong dog lover with a cattle dog/ Heeler (having owned two) experience offering running and engaging walks. I've been a runner for over 25 years, currently, having a Heeler and Heeler/ Husky mix, I understand their high energy and exercise requirements. I offer energetic runs/ walks designed to tire out them out. Also, I offer,"Mosey walks" perfect for older/ senior dogs (my Heeler is 9), or less energetic pups who still love to explore. Additionally, a TON of love and attention. I live in the King William area and two blocks from the river. My goal is a happy, well exercised dog who sleeps at night. If your dog is looking for me, I'm for your dog! I'm punctual, communicative, and send updates. Exercise and fresh air equals a healthy and happy dog! I work from home and am available most days (self employed). I can even do last minute walks. My dogs enjoy the freedom and their outside walks that Mother Nature offers them. My dogs are everything to me and I'll treat yours the same. I live in King William, two blocks from the river, so they'll have shady walks/ runs. I'm very resourceful and can find a shady spot by your home as well.

“We needed a pet sitter to stay at our hotel with our little Yorkie Poo, Chrissy, for an evening and I was very late in arranging it. Odalys and Mel were perfect. They were tolerant of our timing issues and took excellent care of Chrissy. She got to explore on the River Walk, in her favorite "stop every 30 seconds and sniff" mode. We're very grateful for their care of her and will definitely contact them the next time we're in San Antonio and need pet sitting.”

About: I’ve grown up surrounded by animals my whole life! I currently have a Borgi, two Shih-Tzu’s, a Boston Terrier, Frenchie, and one human haha! All dogs of all sorts are welcome inside my home. Rowdy, to dogs that suffer from anxiety are welcomed. My dogs are great with other dogs and love to play, but are also crate trained. I have a backyard with turf, I have a pool but it can be fenced for safety, and lots of shade to keeps our fur babies out from the sun. Your fur babies are now my fur babies and are welcome with love! I am a stay-at-home mom so I am able to give lots of love and attention to your fur babies. I am very flexible on pricing, and have the ability to accommodate any request. My main priority is to take care of your fur babies just as if they were my own. All pets of mine are crate-trained, and do very well on their own. I do have lots of room for small or large dogs to play inside or outside. All dogs will be separated while they eat. I am available throughout the day for potty breaks for on boarding. I do follow all instructions that are given and I am able to take care of dogs with special needs. I do very well at updating all my customers to ensure your fur baby is safe and having a great time because I do understand that it can be sometimes hard to leave our loved ones with a new face. Your fur baby is in great care and I can’t wait to give all my attention to them!

“We had a drop-in visit with Marina, who is going to be house sitting for us and our two babies next weekend. She was promptly on time, very nice to talk with and presented herself as very responsible and dependable. I have no worries with her watching our little ones. Thanks!”

About: I have a genuine connection to animals and care deeply for them. In my own home I care for a senior dog and two bunnies. I always give my animals my first and my best. My schedule is flexible as I prepare for graduate school. My goal is to make some connections with families that need additional pet care that I can work my schedule around to accommodate theirs. In my client's home I will be sure to understand and fulfill all of the specific expectations they have for their pets. I will provide love, comfort and a safe environment for any and all pets. While you are away, at work or just need a little extra support I will make sure your sweet pet feels all the love they are missing.

About: A new chapter has me working from home full-time — and I’m so excited to open my home again! I’d love to care for your pup while you’re away, offering cuddles, calm vibes, and a cozy space shared with my two small resident dogs. 🐾 Meet the Crew: Iggy is my 13-year-old tripod and self-appointed commander-in-chief. He mostly keeps to his cozy corner, supervising the house and making sure playtime doesn’t get out of hand. Dolly is my 4-year-old shadow. She’s a little shy at first but warms up quickly. If your pup wants to play, she’s in — but she’s just as happy to nap nearby and match their energy. 💛 My Experience: I fostered dogs for over seven years — from tiny puppies to more sensitive or reactive rescues. That variety helped me get really good at reading dog dynamics, adjusting space, and creating a low-stress, respectful environment for everyone involved. 🏡 My Setup: Pups have free roam of the living room and kitchen (with lots of nap spots — doggy couch included!) I use baby gates and barriers to create calm zones or give dogs space when needed If I step out briefly, I can crate your pup if you prefer — or I can safely separate mine in the bedroom and give yours the run of the main space I rotate rest time so every pup gets solo downtime when needed — it’s always about keeping things calm and dog-centered We also have a medium-large backyard (fully fenced, about 20 yards long), no cats or kids, and lots of cozy options for sleep and chill time. Whether your pup is a cuddlebug, a watcher, or a play-in-the-yard type, I’ll follow their lead and make sure they feel safe, seen, and cared for. I currently work fully remote and am home all day — your dog will never be alone for long stretches. My own pups are a huge part of my life (they probably eat better than I do), and I deeply believe dogs rely on us for reassurance, love, and care. I do everything I can to live up to that, every single day. During my break from Rover, I continued fostering — over 100 puppies in the last few years. At the time, I was still going into the office, which wasn’t ideal, but it was still better than them staying at risk in the shelter. That chapter taught me so much about different temperaments, special needs, and how to create an environment where dogs feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for — even when it’s not their usual home. Safety and trust are everything in my home. I don’t take guest pups on walks — my neighborhood occasionally has loose dogs, and I’d rather eliminate that risk altogether. Instead, all outdoor time happens in my fully fenced backyard, and I’m always outside supervising. My immediate neighbors don’t have dogs, so there’s no fence-line tension — just the occasional curious cat that might cause a short ruckus. Indoors, I keep the environment clean, calm, and free of hazards, with soft barriers and rest zones to help everyone feel safe and settled. I also regularly review the Red Cross Pet First Aid app to stay up to date on emergency protocols like choking or injury. Your pup’s comfort and safety are never left to chance — they’re at the center of everything I do.

“Sarah did a great job with Abby! She sent daily updates with pics. Abby was very happy to have someone come by and give her love while I was away. I definitely recommend her if you need someone to watch your cats with needs!”

“Jennifer has been watching and loving on my dog, Pepe, for about a year. She always has treats and uses the best puppy voice to communicate with him (it makes him feel special.) Now that my dog is aging and needing more breaks, medication, attention (and of course, treats) Jennifer stops by whenever I need her to. It gives me a great peace of mind knowing that he is being looked after so well. She has also helped care for my stray cats that I have been feeding when I am out of town, coming by at least twice a day to feed them and make sure they have fresh, clean water. She even took all the bowls to her home and washed them! I would highly recommend Jennifer to help look after your babies!”

Avenida Guadalupe pet parents share their Rover experiences
Mel is such a good sitter! Our cats are super shy and skiddish and they came out and about to sniff him and give him head butts. While we were gone, I didn’t worry at all because Mel was so thorough about caring for them. He documents every step of the process and is super responsive to questions. We will definitely book Mel again in the future.

Ericka was kind, patient and extremely professional! She went above and beyond when caring for my dog. Would absolutely work with her again!

Nev took good care of my dog Maxine during drop in visits over 4th of July weekend. Communication was great (texts, photos) as was reliability.

Lexi was such a joy to have as a cat sitter! Not only was so responsive and attentive, but she built a relationship with my kitties and documented all of their cute moments to send to me. She even went through trouble-shooting issues for my few automatic appliances! Would recommend to everyone.

Ignacio did an amazing job! I have 6 pugs with very different personalities and they all loved him! He did a check in with them at my home while we were away and everything went great! He was attentive and paid close attention to detail. This was my first time using rover and I’m glad we got him to look over our beans. I will definitely be booking with him again

Melisa is so thoughtful and patient with our older dog! We have rebooked with her multiple times now, and she is always excellent!

Kaylee is awesome to work with and helped me out in a tight spot. I’m very grateful for her services.

Angelica is the absolute best sitter we have had to take care of both my dog and cat. I can tell they adore her and she goes above and beyond to make sure they’re well taken care of.

I’m so thankful for Odalys! She took such amazing care of my girl while we were away. From the moment we met, I could tell she truly loves animals. She kept me updated every day with pictures, which really put my mind at ease. I would absolutely book with her again—highly recommended for anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring sitter!

Erin lets our 14 year old dog out during the day on our long work days. Our dog likes gentle people and she really likes her! I’ve found that she is very reliable with communication and follow through, it’s a huge factor for me and my wife for our work schedule. We’re thankful for her service and will continue to request her help 👍

I booked them last minute, and they were absolutely wonderful! They were incredibly sweet with my dogs and made me feel at ease right away. Communication was excellent they kept me updated and even sent a cute video of my pups playing in the yard. I could tell my dogs were happy. I would definitely book them again!

Allison was fantastic! Took great care of my cat, played with him, and had great communication throughout. I highly recommend these sitters!

Jocelyn is absolutely amazing! She’s communicative, consistent, prompt and so loving to my dogs. They both adore their time with her and I always feel at ease knowing they’re getting well taken care of. Highly recommend!!

Ellie was fantastic while watching our little Jalapeño!. She was very communicative and had no problem working out the complex building. Our kitty didn’t seem to miss us too much when we got home so I know it was because Eleanor gave him lots of play time and loving while we were gone. She sends lots of pictures and makes sure he’s eating, it’s great to know Jalapeño is being well cared for on our busy trip, he was in perfect hands!! I would absolutely recommend Ellie 10/10, she will work with you and your schedule and your pets needs. Jalapeno already can’t wait for Ellie to come back again!

Highly recommend! She's a life-saver :) very great with puppies and adult dogs with special, medical needs ❤️

Kaileen is a great, friendly sitter! Took extra care to play with my cat and I felt very comfortable knowing my cat was well taken care of while I was gone. Kaileen was communicative before during and after the cat sitting.

Madeline took such great care of our cat, Peach, while we were away! We will definitely be booking with her again. 😻

Julia was easy to work with, communicative, and great with my shy dog! I would definitely have Julia dog sit again in the future!

Fabulous sitter! This is the second time I have used Kendalyn. She is so sweet and kind to my pet and keeps in great contact and communication with me when I am traveling. She is the best!

We had to fly out for a three-day trip on very short notice. We have two cats: a 13-year-old diabetic orange cat who we call our "love sponge," and a thee-year-old lever, mischievous tortie. Morgan understood the assignment. She had not given insulin to a cat before. I showed her how to do it, left written instructions, and all insulin doses went well. The cats were happy and healthy when we returned. My diabetic cat had a veterinarian appointment when we returned, and his glucose and neutrophils were within a good range.
