About: I'm a teacher during the day, so my hours are flexible, especially during the summer. I'm a dog and a cat lover and would love to have some extra dog company. My two cats are used to dogs and don't mind them at all. I will go the extra mile to care for your fur babies as I would take care of mine. My first two dogs I had when I was younger, were Schipperkes named Skylar and Sampson. They were very hyper and lots of fun to walk around. I think I ended up making a ton of friends when I would take them with me because they were so interesting. That's what I like about dogs, they bring people together; love to all!
“Jose and his wife took care of my babies Kaia and Kira. Kaia and Kira are very high energy dogs and they did a wonderful job taking care of them. He kept me updated and I did not have to worry about them at all while on my trip cause I knew they were in good hands ! Will definitely contact him in the future for future trips and I recommend him to anyone who wants a great dog sitter !”

“Laura was very accommodating when it came to when I could drop off my dog! Her home seemed very cozy and my dog Romeo seemed very happy when I picked him up! Overall, a great experience.”

“Pamela took great care of our dog. She is caring and kind and truly appears to enjoy caring for animals. She has a large fenced yard and many comfy spots for the dogs to hang out. We are happy to have found her.”

“I highly recommend Carlos and Claudia's services! They were very professional and responsive during Lexy's stay. I received photos and videos every day and took advantage of the grooming services. Lexy looked great and smelled amazing when I picked her up! :)”

“Gabriela is totally awesome, she took excellent care of my two dogs for three and a half days and sent me awesome vids and updates throughout the entire time of them playing in the yard. Highly recommend her to pet sit, thank you some much!”

“Teresa is a wonderful dog sitter! She is an excellent communicator and sent us lots of pictures and videos of our dog Louie while she was watching him. I would highly recommend Teresa!”

About: I have always had dogs since I was a child. I currently have two small dogs who are our fur babies. I started doing this to ensure people could relax while on vacation and not having to stress about their pets care while gone. I currently work from home so I am always available for care for your pets. I stop numerous times a day for potty breaks and if more food and water is needed. Your fur baby will love a getaway at our place! Your dog will be treated just like one of the family. Please let me know if you have any special requests.
“Katelyn was a life saving this past month as I was trying a lot for work last minute and she was always willing to watch my Remi. I had no doubt that Remi was safe and happy. Every photo he was comfy or cuddled up with one of her children. Even seemed like he didn’t want to leave when I picked him up. High recommend!”

“Chris was the perfect match for our dog. His calm and gentle nature made Brindie feel right at home. He was communicative with us during her stay, enabling us to relax knowing she was in good hands. I totally recommend him for your pet sitting needs. Maggie B.”

- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
