“Marie has sat for our two furry babies several times over the last 2 years. She is a responsible, dependable, caring, loving individual. We appreciate her time spent in sitting and engaging with our two beautiful Huskies.”

About: I’ve spent over 15 years caring for animals ranging from household pets to farm animals. I’m patient, observant, and genuinely love building trust with shy or high energy pets. Safety, routine, and communication are my priorities. I currently work part-time as a server around 25–30 hours a week, which gives me plenty of time to provide attentive, reliable care for your pets. I’m flexible with scheduling and can make sure your pets receive the attention, exercise, playtime, feeding, and affection they need throughout the day. I provide a calm, safe, and loving environment where pets feel comfortable and cared for. I closely follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise needs, and routines to reduce stress. I pay attention to behavior changes, keep spaces clean and secure, and make sure every pet receives patience, affection, supervision, and personalized care while their owner is away.

“Marie was amazing with our pup! We can't wait to use her again; she was caring, informative and communicative. We received lots of pictures and details about each visit.”

“Trina did an excellent job. She had consistant communication to update us and even brought our packages in. You will be glad you trusted her with your fur baby. We will definitely be using her again.”
“Christina was absolutely amazing with my two baby girls (cats)! She really understands what it means to be a pet owner away from our pets and how much it aches our hearts. She gave them lots of time and attention. Sent me tons of pictures and detailed updates on their moods. And provided me a lot of reassurance that my girls were in good hands. She took great care of the home and left it in a better condition than she found it. This was the longest I was away from my babies and I came back to them both healthy, happy, and in great spirits with a ton of kisses!”

About: I have over 30 years experience taking care of dogs and will provide the love and care they need in their new "home away from home". I have a whole house generator so in case of storms, there will be no interruption in service. I am a very active individual and typically walk at least 3-5 miles per day with my little toy fox terrier. I am a nature lover and frequent the area's hiking trails and love to get out on the beach. I prepare my dog's meals using all natural ingredients (whole foods) and make a very healthy bone broth and organic barley. With parental permission I can use this as topper for your dog's kibble. I am a retired school teacher and am available year round. I am basically home all the time when I am not out on the nature trails. I would prefer sitting for dogs that weigh 30 pounds or less. Your fur baby will receive the love and attention it deserves from Caring Karen. I am a retired school teacher and when I am not out on the nature trails walking dogs, I am at home cooking or gardening. Your dog will receive lots of love and attention from Caring Karen. I have a fenced-in side yard and a gated back deck. My house is set back on a wooded lot with lots of shade. I live in a very quiet and safe neighborhood on a private road that is a dead-end. I know most of my neighbors and this is my forever home.
About: I’ve been animal sitting since I was 15! When I turned 18 I started working at a animal hospital, working with all types of dogs and cats. Learning how to administer medicine and read dog body language. Since leaving that job I now work at a Doggy Salon and restaurant💚 I’ll dance with your dog(s) while taking them for a walk and giving them all the love I can I work part time in a busy pizzeria so I have a lot of availability for walking your pups in the morning and late evening. Available weekends and most holidays. I have a big backyard where I play with my 2 fur babies and a nice patio for my outdoor cats to lounge. I have separate bedrooms incase anyone needs a room just for them-pup-selves
“I cannot say enough about Kim! She went above and beyond to try and get my shy boy near her, didnt happen but maybe next time. Everytime she went to my house she sent a photo, updated me on how things were going and genuinely just cared! You can tell she is an animal lover and I would recommend her 100% to watch your pet!”

About: I’ve cared for animals my whole life. Big dogs, small dogs, shy cats, crazy cats, I love them all! You can rest assured your pet will be well taken care of. I do not work a job so I am available to meet all your needs for as little or as long as you need me. I can be trusted to keep your pets in my home. I have a fenced in yard with plenty of room for exercise and play.

“My nickname for Abigail is "Dr. Doolittle" because she is absolutely fantastic and has an amazingly uncanny way with animals! On very short notice I booked her to look after my 4 dogs, one rabbit and 3 fish and she took it all on with complete ease and professionalism. I was most worried about my oldest dog Cheech who is a 15 year old rescue with serious trust issues with people in general. Within a day Abigail had him approaching her for pets (basically unheard of for him with strangers) and by the end of her time with him he was allowing her to give him full body cuddles. An absolutely stunning show of trust with her! As for the other 3 pups...they could not get enough tummy rubs, cuddles, kisses and attention from their new friend Abigail and her little daughter Dakota (also an animal lover)! All four pups and the bunny were spoiled rotten with attention and love for the 4 days I was out of town. In addition, she went out of her way to cook up some chicken I had purchased as a treat for the dogs but had not had time to get to before I left. She took it home, cooked it up, and brought it to the pups so they could have their favorite topping on their daily meals with her...she genuinely cares that the animals she is looking after feel safe and secure and loved even though their owner is away! Abigail sent photos and updates during the whole weekend which really put my mind at ease that my herd was behaving themselves and having a ball in the process! I cannot recommend Abigail enough and so look forward to treating my little menagerie to her excellent care in the future!”

About: My husband and I have had pets all our lives and absolutely love all animals! We are also experienced in giving meds of any kind, or making sure your pet is taken care of properly such as no treats, lotts of treats or whatever you may need! I own my own business so I am flexible, and able to work with yours to care for your pet! However I may be out of the house sometimes and would prefer your pet to be crate trained. I have a fenced in yard and two golden retriever pups to play with your fur baby! I can easily crate your pet if needed.

About: As a college soccer player, I’m active, dependable, and used to staying on a schedule. I’ve cared for both dogs and cats with different personalities and needs, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping them company, I’m attentive, patient, and will treat every pet like my own while making sure they feel safe and comfortable. Pet care fits naturally into my routine since I’m already active, organized, and used to balancing responsibilities as a college athlete. I’m also working a part-time job, but still have plenty of time to spend with cats and dogs throughout the week. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
