“Abigail is AWESOME! She sent photos and a video of her playing with the girls. They seemed right at home. She even endured a severe thunderstorm to bring them out to us. I 10/10 recommend her for any of your pet needs. Pippa & Paisley LOVED daycare with Abigail! Thank you for taking such great care of them! We will for sure being booking with you again!!”

“We are not from NMB but our son had a baseball tournament there. So glad we found Christy. Not only was she near the ballpark, but Cosmo had a blast with some new fur buddies! Thank you Christy for taking care of Cosmo. He had so much fun he immediately knocked out on our drive home. We’ll definitely reach out again the next time we’re in NMB.”

About: I have been a Yorkie, schnauzer or spaniel owner for years and just love the little furry family members. Currently Maggie May (my sweet rescue) and I love the opportunity to walk, keep and cuddle your "family member". I even make dog biscuits for the cutie pies if their owners give the okay. The safety and happiness of your dog is my primary concern. They will get a lot of love and the best possible care. Bottom line, I am an animal lover! I have been the go to person for my friends for years when they need a dog sitter or walker. I love having four legged friends as guests in my home. I work from home so am always available for the fur babies. Generally most of our furry friends love sitting in my office with me and checking out what is going on outside from the double window on the front wall. I have a fenced backyard and enjoy walking my Maggie May everyday. We enjoy playing together and just sitting ourside on the patio in the sunshine.

“Jennifer and Matthew are fine people!!! I think their hearts are the same shape as milk bones! Finny had an excellent time with them and came home happy and tired. He was even tired the next day too! Good people, I’d trust them with anything.”
About: What Sets Me Apart Your pet won’t just be “watched” here—they’ll be truly cared for like family. Because I work from home, your pet will have consistent, all-day attention, plenty of interaction, and lots of love. They’ll never feel alone or overlooked. I bring a lifetime of hands-on experience with all kinds of animals, so I’m comfortable with different personalities, energy levels, and needs—from playful pups to more timid or senior pets who need a gentler touch. My home offers a large yard for safe play and fresh air, giving pets the space to run, explore, and enjoy themselves while staying in a secure, supervised environment. Most importantly, I’m naturally gentle, patient, and attentive. I take the time to learn your pet’s routine, preferences, and quirks so they feel comfortable, happy, and at ease while you’re away. You can expect regular updates, lots of affection, and peace of mind knowing your pet is in a calm, loving home—not a kennel. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily life because I run a small in-home business, which means I’m home the majority of the day. Having furry friends here is truly a bonus to my routine—I love the extra company and all the snuggle time they bring! Throughout the day, I’m able to give pets consistent attention, potty breaks, playtime, and affection, rather than just quick check-ins. Whether it’s relaxing nearby while I work, playing outside in the yard, or curling up for naps, your pet will be included in a calm, loving environment. Because I’m already home and active, your pet becomes a natural part of my day—not an afterthought. They’ll get plenty of interaction, supervision, and love. My goal is to create a safe, comfortable, and loving home environment where your pet can relax and feel right at home. I’m currently in the process of having my yard fully fenced, and in the meantime, all outdoor time is closely supervised to ensure your pet’s safety. Pets in my care enjoy a balance of playtime, rest, and affection throughout the day. I provide fun activities like outdoor play and even water play on warmer days for pets who enjoy it. Inside, there are plenty of cozy spots to nap, relax, and feel secure. With your approval, I love to offer treats and positive reinforcement to help pets feel happy and comfortable. I also include gentle pet massage and extra snuggle time, which many dogs absolutely love—it helps them relax and feel at ease while they’re away from home. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine and personality so they feel safe, cared for, and truly part of the family during their stay.
About: I treat my dogs like my children. My dogs are living with my ex husband and I want to share my love for dogs with yours. My biggest fear was a dog sitter would not recognize if my dog got sick while I was away. My vet does not believe in kennels and we have followed his advice. It makes me much happier knowing they are not in a concrete cage all day. I had been looking into opening a dog day care but this is more rewarding. I will treat your pet like my own. I am pretty much available 24/7 in my home. Your pet will have the run of my house. Your pet will be part of my one person family. It will be just me and your pet. No other dogs will be in the house. I only take in one dog at a time and have great references. I do Rover at my home in New Hampshire over the winter and CT over the summer and you can see my great reviews. Your pet will have the run of my house, and will cuddle on the couch with me and/or sleep on my bed. I will walk your pet personally.
About: Hey, I’m Carina! I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life. I genuinely love all pets and know how important it is to find someone you trust to care for them. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feedings, or just some quality company, I’m here to make your pet feel safe, happy, and loved. My schedule changes week to week. Because of that, I ask for at least 3 days notice before a booking so I can make sure I’m fully available and able to give your pet the attention they deserve! I live in a pet loving apartment with two cats I’m very used to a busy, animal filled environment! My pets are a huge part of my life, and caring for them daily has given me a lot of experience with different personalities, routines, and needs!!
“Our pup had an incredible time today, all thanks to Arianna! She clearly has a genuine love for dogs and an amazing ability to connect with them. Our dog, Sandy, came home happy, tired, and clearly well-cared for. Arianna is a true gem, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to any dog owner looking for top-notch care and a fun, safe environment. Five stars!”

About: I’ve had my own dog since I was 19. Learned the ins and outs of time management and being a dog mom in college by raising a puppy from the rescue shelter. I’m a freelance content creator and full time graduate student. A lot of my work is remote or 3 hour time frames. Really flexible hours! I live in a studio apartment that is completely open with all things unsafe to dogs put away. There’s also a big fenced in dog park connected to my building which I use often
“Stephanie and Ron were wonderful. They took great care of Oliver for the day. Oliver had playtime, downtime, and potty time, and all went well! I look forward to leaving him for an extended stay now that I know he’s so well cared for. Highly recommend!”

“Michelle was great! She greeted us with her 3 adorable kids who seemed thrilled Teddy would be spending the day with them. Michelle sent us pics of Teddy throughout the day and he was in great spirits when we picked him up. Highly recommend Michelle and we plan to use her again in the future.”

“Molly takes such great care of my pup! He has a ball with her dog and comes home so tired. The first day he was so nervous when I left him and now he jumps right out and runs to her door! Will definitely be using her again in the future!”

Donna is the best! We needed a last-minute sitter and she was able to accommodate us. You can tell she is a pet lover. Our little Sophie is usually very anxious and Donna made her feel at home immediately she even made a friend with another dog that Donna was watching. She had a great experience and I had no worries at all. I will definitely be calling Donna again.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
