About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs and cats for as long as I can remember! Growing up as an only child, our pets were my built-in best friends and caring for them was my responsibility from a young age. That love for animals has only grown with me. Over the years, friends and neighbors have trusted me to drop in, walk, and stay with their pets while they’re away, and I genuinely love getting to know each animal and their individual personality, routines, and quirks. These days, I’m a mom to a toddler and three very loved pets of my own, including my Golden Retriever, who is always happy to join me for a random walk during the day! I’d love to add a few more furry friends to my walking schedule and give them the same attention, patience, and affection I give my own. In our house, pets aren’t just pets, they’re family. I know how much trust it takes to leave a beloved pet in someone else’s care, and I’ll always treat yours with the same love and importance I would want someone to give mine. Whether they need a good walk, some playtime, company, or just someone to make sure they feel safe and loved while you’re away, I’d be so happy to be that person! I work from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility throughout my day! I’m able to come and go as needed, so fitting walks, drop-ins, and visits into my daily routine is easy. I also have a great support system at home, which allows me to be flexible with scheduling and give your pets the time and attention they need. Because my work is remote, I can also bring it with me when needed! If your pet would benefit from a little extra company beyond a typical drop-in, I’m happy to settle in with my laptop and spend some additional time with them rather than rushing out the door. As a mom and pet owner myself, caring for both little humans and furry family members is already a big part of my everyday life. My child has been raised around animals and taught from the beginning to be gentle and respectful of their space. My schedule allows me plenty of freedom to make pet care a natural, and very welcome, part of my day! In our house, pet care is part of our everyday routine! I make sure fresh water is always available both upstairs and downstairs and changed daily, my cats’ food is checked and replenished each day, and my dog eats on a consistent twice-daily schedule. When I’m home, my dog gets a morning or afternoon walk, plenty of trips outside to our fenced backyard throughout the day, and usually a daycare day or two each week for some extra exercise and socialization. When I leave the house, I’m also very mindful of his safety, he stays comfortably downstairs with access to his bed and water, potential chewing hazards are put away, and toys that require supervision are never left out. I’d bring that same level of attention to caring for your pets! I know every animal and household has its own routine, so I’m happy to follow your feeding schedule, potty or litter box routine, walking preferences, playtime rules, and any other instructions that help your pet feel comfortable. Whether your pet thrives on a strict schedule or has their own wonderfully specific set of quirks, I want their routine to feel as normal as possible while you’re away.

About: I have owned dogs all my life. At one point I owned 4! I am moving home from college and just got a job in Richmond. I am very flexible and will be in town to help out whenever needed! I am an elementary school teacher in Hanover County during the school year! I am fully open during the summer to care for your pets during the day. I treat them like my own! I love to hang out with pets, and I love a list. If there is a specific set of things to do, I will follow it exactly and make sure the pet gets what they need.

About: I have lived on a farm my whole life. At age 12 I started managing our family farm, which ment taking care of all of our animals, from the horses to the rabbits. There are two rules I keep for myself: 1) every animal has a purpose and a name. They are not just a number (which is important to remember on a farm) 2) They are fed and cared for before anything else. It doesn't matter what's going on they are my first thought when I wake up. I take care of them before I eat. I am currently a college student and working part time for the school. My times and avalibility will change when I resume school in September. Because I live on a farm, I am blessed that my cats can safely be indoor - outdoor cats. I do have a house cat, and I have two outdoor cats. For dogs, I am used to taking dogs on walks, and letting them into secure, fensed in yards.

About: What sets me apart as a dog sitter is my calm, attentive approach and my background in caregiving. I have many years of experience caring for dogs, including senior dogs who need extra patience, slower walks, and thoughtful routines. I’m comfortable administering medications, following detailed care instructions, and adjusting activity levels to meet each dog’s needs. On walks, I’m happy to let dogs take their time, especially senior dogs who benefit from slower pacing and plenty of sniffing. I genuinely enjoy engaging with dogs who like to play, while also respecting the boundaries of dogs who prefer a quieter, gentler presence. My professional background in caregiving has taught me the importance of reliability, attentiveness, and respecting rules and routines. I take pet owners’ instructions seriously and care for dogs with kindness, empathy, and consistency, so they feel safe and well cared for. I work Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. During the workweek, I’m available for morning and evening walks, drop-ins, and care. When I’m house sitting, I can provide morning and evening walks, and on Thursdays and Fridays I work from home, allowing for additional presence and a midday check-in or walk during my lunch break. On weekends, I have more flexibility and availability, which allows me to be more present and attentive to pets who benefit from extra time, companionship, or a relaxed routine. I will come to you and your furry friends. I follow routines as closely as possible and create a calm, safe, and respectful environment. In my clients’ homes, I take time to understand each pet’s needs, personality, and boundaries. I carefully follow all instructions around feeding, medications, walks, playtime, and household rules. I’m attentive to changes in behavior, energy, or appetite and communicate clearly with pet owners so they feel informed and at ease. I adjust my care based on each pet, whether that means slower, sniff-friendly walks for senior dogs, gentle play for dogs who enjoy engagement, or quiet companionship for pets who prefer space. I keep homes clean, maintain litter boxes or feeding areas, and make sure pets feel comfortable, secure, and well cared for while their people are away.

About: I have taken care of animals since I was around 10 years old, neighbors friends and family have relied on me to care for and bathe their pets while at work and traveling. I have been licensed for 6 years. I have also worked in several veterinary clinics/hospitals and can administer medicine if needed This is my ‘job’ so I am available full time. I have two young children and multiple dogs (3 house dogs) to keep your fur baby company during their stay. We live on 10.5 acres and have a fenced in yard. Crate and housebroken dogs welcome in the house, those who are still training or not trained will be set up in our air conditioned/heated garage with their own couch, blankets, toys and TV

About: I’ve had and taken care of many animals over the years. My main area of expertise is dogs, however I have two cats of my own and am well versed in caring for them. I also have experience with guinea pigs and Russian tortoises. I’m currently in college and my main focus is my education, so I’ll have plenty of time to drop in and give your pets some love and attention throughout the day. I have a dog park in my apartment complex, and my complex is very pet friendly. I am very detail-oriented and will be sure to follow any instructions given when caring for your pet.
