“Piper has barely moved since we picked her up from Amy's yesterday! She rode home in the backseat with her head on her pillow. We've never seen her so tired! She obviously had an active 3 days with Amy and some exhausting fun! We were not sure how she would do without us because Piper is very attached to her people. Amy was aware of this and kept us updated on how she was doing by way of text messages and pictures. I could see in the pictures that Piper was having fun through what appeared to be a smile on her face! Amy responds very quickly to messages, keeps in daily contact and is organized with her approach. Amy even sent homemade treats home with Piper! But Michelle didn't make any of his needs feel like a burden. Her and her family were so warm toward him and very attentive to his idiosyncrasies. He got along with the kids, who were sensitive to his need to warm up to people. He ran around the house and was so happy to be there with the family. Michelle sent updates multiple times a day with pictures/videos and a report on how he was doing: if he went to the bathroom, what he ate, and what his mood was like. From the very beginning, they went above and beyond—even the whole family came out together during the initial meet and greet to meet him, which meant so much to us, and I had no doubts our dog was going to have the best time and be in such great care. Rufus was treated like one of their own, made fast friends with Amanda’s dog (a bigger win than one might realize!) , and absolutely loved having the space to run around and play.
